Hi everyone,

Me and my family could use some prayer as the cat that me and my sister grew up with, Blackie, is now dying, at the age of almost 23 years old! I can barely remember life before her. :-( I thank God for the incredibly long life she's had, but I know this will be very difficult.

Thanks for praying.

23! Wowza! She must have been a spunky thing to have lived that long. I'm so glad she was there for your family for so long. Comfort and peace to you and your family.

Love

That is a long life for a cat. You have been very fortunate to have her so long. Praying for you and your family.

Jeremy--I understand. I grieved my 20-year-old Dandy cat when he died.

Praying now for you...

I also totally understand, Jeremy. We had two cats that my kids grew up with and one started having kidney failure. They were so much a part of our family, the kids hardly remembered a time without them. When it had to be that we took her in to be put down, my son got a bright idea to have the other (also old) cat donate his kidney to the sick one! It was heartbreaking. I actually sat in the waiting room bawling, while my son was the brave one who went in to make sure she was not alone :-(

Hey my righteous friends,

I'm at a new place in my life. New city. New living situation. New outlook on life and the world around me. It's now time for me to give up the stories I've had about myself up until now and choose new ones. I'm asking you to pray that I get a full time job that takes care of my financial needs and is actually something I enjoy doing when I am there.

Thank you all so much.

Thanks everyone for all your prayers.

Blackie improved a bit after Monday morning (not a surprise for that "miracle cat"! :-)), but she died tonight. :-( I appreciate your prayers.

Jeremy

Hi Jeremy, I'm so sorry to hear that. :-(

I have quite a number of pets too, and I know how precious they are... There is a special place in one's heart for each one.

Jeremy, I am sorry.
Hubby was saying a while back that he almost wished we had never gotten our little dog Kia, because he knows it is going to be really hard when something happens to her.
We have never gotten THIS attached to a pet before,,, love them yes, but not like this one.. I think it may have something to do with both getting older, and that no children are left at home anymore.
Remember the good times :-)

Jeremy, I am so sorry. It's hard to imagine that the space in your house and life that belonged to that life-long pet is empty. I completely understand. Sometimes I look at our sheltie and think, "What were we thinking? I know how devastated we'll be when he goes one day..."

And yet we love them, and they make us laugh, and they are a comfort.

I'm praying for you, Jeremy...

I would like to request prayer for Merwin and Debbie Rhoades. Their small ministry outreach to the truckers and their families is suffering financial hardship right now.

Thanks
