My Sisters husband has just learned thsi week taht he has stage 4 small cell cancer and is beggining chemo treatments tomorrow. It is rapid growth and in his lung and throat area, more tests to come. They said he may have a year but could be more, all depends upon response to treatment. He is wanting to make it to one more Christmas. My sister is holding up. Please pray for healing, if not healing strength, if not strength, peace. Jim | ||

The principal of one of the SDA schools in the Orlando, Florida area had/has stage four lung cancer. Drs. gave her six months to live. Florida Hospital (The SDA hospital in Orlando) has an experimental program in which she enrolled and before the six month were over, the cancer had stopped. She is working normally. I don't know if it will come back, but for now as I understand it there is no cancer. Maybe that's something that can be looked into. Hec | ||

Please pray for everyone here in eastern Arizona, as what is fast becoming the largest forest fire in Arizona history is still raging out of control (about 400,000 acres currently). It is not an immediate threat right here, but it keeps spreading in all directions, and may eventually burn across the entire White Mountains, the most beautiful part of the state, and one of the most unique places anywhere. Greer, AZ--a Swiss Alps-like secluded hamlet and favorite spot in the state for many Arizonans--has had some fire in it and is still being threatened greatly, as is the ski resort as it is burning onto the Apaches' cherished tribal reservation now. Last night I discovered three lumps on my neck. The whoule area feels painful and somewhat inflamed although I feel healthy. I am pretty nervous about this since I had thyorid cancer six years ago. Please pray for me. | ||
