Life has become challenging around here. What with Jan's injury last January that hasn't healed up yet, a bad fall last week and another one yesterday that left her to weak and full of pain to walk without help I had to get her back to the hospital today. She couldn't get up out of the gurney to go home so they called an ambulance and sent her to a convalescence home. I expect her to be there for some time. The good news is that we’ve had so many medical bills this year so far the deductible has already been paid and the health insurance will cover her stay for 120 days at 100% coverage. Even though Hooch is here with me the house is really empty.

PS
Even though I haven’t been posting much lately, I read most everything and pray for all the needs. Having some of my own, I really understand the needs of all those around me.

God is good and in him there is no need to fear the unknowable,

Phil

Ohh, Phil, I am so sorry. I will pray for you and Jan.
Father God, thank you for Phil and Jan. Thank you for their witness for you and their love for you. I ask you now to put your arms around Jan and that you give her your peace. Do the same for Phil. Heal the sore Jan has. You know best how to do all that as you are the Great Physician.
Like I said earlier, you said to come into your presence boldly. Well God I have come running in and jumping in your lap lately because of all my family problems and now I am doing this for Jan and Phil.
Thank you Awesome God for hearing me, thank you so much. In Jesus name I ask this.
Amen

Phil, I am so, so sorry. I will pray that the Lord Jesus will hold your heart in peace and give you His palpable presence...and be close to Jan.

Praying for you Phil- and for Jan too.

We have a huge day of shooting with multiple scenes planned for tomorrow- Wednesday.

Pray that all goes well- that as actors and film-makers God enables us to to the best we can to perform to the highest standards.

Our film is to bring the Gospel to the lost kids, runaways, broken and all who think God doesn't care about them.

We all thank you so much for your prayers.

Update

Jan is doing well at the Life Care Center and is scheduled to come home next Wednesday. However, her leg wound is still far from heald.

Anyway, that is a praise but there is still a prayer request. Two days ago someone got into our home while I was at work and stole my laptop. It has, among other things, all my tax records for the past several years. As a precaution, I changed my bank account but what a hassle it is causing me.

At work, I shared this and several other things that are happening here with the HR man who is a Christain and he concluded that the story of Job fits what is happening.

One of the aides in my school approached me in tears this morning. Her husband has been diagnosed with very advanced glaucoma and has been told he will be completely blind in the very near future. Surgery is not an option for a number of reasons. The family is (understandably) devastated. They were told to bring in all the children to be tested as this can be hereditary. Nobody in this family is a believer. Finances are already a huge problem for this family.

I told her that I would tell believers everywhere about them and ask them to pray. She said she was glad. I have been sharing my faith with her gently over time.

Would you please pray for Rusty and his wife Sheri as God leads you? Thanks!

Joyfulheart; I'm praying for them. Aren't there eye drops that decrease pressure in the eyes? I was told a long time ago, that once glaucoma is diagnosed, the disease can be arrested. The sight lost cannot be restored, but they can keep the loss from going any further...

Asurprise; You are right that there are drops that reduce pressure in the eyes. And if the drops fail, they can do a surgery that cuts a little "flap" in the eyeball that allows pressure to be released.

HOWEVER! Glaucoma injures the optic nerve which is in the central nervous system where nerves do not regenerate. So, at least for now, once the vision is gone, it's gone. ack. [Keep in mind my source of information is my best friend from academy who has had surgery in both eyes.]

But just think! That means if Rusty is healed, his healing could be attributed only to a miracle from God! I do love that thought.

So, yes, Joyfulheart, I'll be praying for them. And so will my friend.

Thanks for praying! Rusty and Sheri were at the Kellogg center in Michigan for diagnosis and treatment and that's one of the best places supposedly in the country for this and so the information they got was probably accurate. I always thought glaucoma was treatable, too.

They don't have much and probably put off seeing a doctor until it was too late.

There is a Holy Spirit conference at my church this weekend. I'm praying about whether or not to invite them to be anointed with oil and prayed for for healing. I've been reading about the friends who brought the paralyzed man through the roof for healing - and just wonder if God wants to glorify himself this way in their lives.

James 5 has some amazing promises. I know God doesn't always choose an earthly bodily healing, but am increasingly convicted that God's directions aren't often followed when someone is sick.

I love these people and want them to be saved. I'm just wondering if God would have me invite them to this meeting. It's at a United Methodist church that believes God still does miracles through the laying on of hands by elders with oil anointing.

Thanks so much for praying for Sheri and Rusty's healing and supernatural wisdom for me. I can't believe I'm even considering doing this. Is this God?

Just saw this and am praying for Rusty and Sheri.
I have glaucoma also. So far it has not affected my vision. I am seeing a specialist this morning about the testing that was done last week. I have asked the doctor what I can do to help it and I will ask the doctor today if there is anything I can do so it will not get worse.
