Blessings Lori, I will keep your mother in prayer and pray the Jesus will reveal His love to her and that she will receive it. I believe that mental illness and suicidal thoughts are nothing but a work of satan. See if she is open to receiving prayer for those demons to flee. Don't ever think it is your fault. It is a lack of peace that my own mother struggles with, she's severly depressed most of the time. I'm believing in a breakthrough as a result of our prayers. Remember Rom 8:28.

God be with you Lori, as I am agreeing with everyone else in lifting you and your Mom/family up in prayer. We are here for you, and love you, and want to support you any way we can. May you find strength and wisdom in dealing with this serious cry for help.
To be continued in prayer,
Janet

Just to keep you updated: my Mom has been hospitalized and is being treated for depression. My Dad is so emotional he is unable to communicate with me or my brother. My Mother will not speak to us, either.

It is such a great comfort to know that so many of you are lifting us up in prayer.

Thanks.....

Thank you for updating us. We will continue to pray for you and for your parents. I'm glad she's in the hospital where she can be observed carefully. You know, I'm sure that God is wanting to heal something in her life that she hasn't wanted to think about. I'll pray that she will be able to face the truthówhatever it is she needs to faceóand allow God's love to heal her.

Things are much better with my family. They think there is a connection between some medication and my Moms depression. My Dad says she is back to her normal self and has no recollection of the past several days (that's probably good!).

Thanks so much for all your prayers!

Oh, Lori! That is good news. I had a hunch that was a good possibility.

Doctors are not too good at medicating older people because the patients change their reactions to medicine as they get older. Unintentional over medication, drug interactions and people reacting differently to drugs complicate matters.

God bless your mother, your family and you.

Please keep my family in your prayers. I feel that it is now my time to "speak" to them. I have already written a letter to my parents---it seemed to have been fairly well received by my Dad; I don't know if my Mother has read it yet, but Daddy said he was going to give it to her.

He still does not understand how I can love Jesus and not keep his commands (Jn 14:15); I did not answer him. I wrote him a second letter today encouraging him to read three chapters, John 13,14&15, and then for him to tell me what the command was they were to obey.

I just feel it is SO vital that they find these things with there own eyes!!!!

Please pray for me to have divine wisdom....and for them to seek!

If they can ever get a grasp on the concept that salvation is about believing in Christ and about nothing else. Then we will have a common ground to stand on regardless of what we believe on other issues!

Regardless of what happens I have been blessed for I have come to a better understanding of how much easier it is to love when you do not allow yourself to pass judgments on some one else by applying a standard to them. The standard is for personal application only; it was never meant for us to use against others.

Wow, Loriógreat insight. Isn't God good the way he teaches us through our most horrible experiences?

I will continue to pray for your parents and for you.

We would appreciate your prayers for our 26 year old son, Geoff. He was diagnosed with mono yesterday. He lives alone, a five hour drive from here.

Lori, that was a great answer you gave your dad. Praying that they receive it quickly.

By the way, here's a warning for all you guys. The most likely source we can come up with for where our son could have picked this up was rented scuba gear.

My father-in-law is in the hospital with blood clots in his leg and an irregular heartbeat. We would appreciate your prayers for him, both for his physical health and for him to be secure and certain of his salvation.

Carol, my daughter age 17, had hers pulled over the christmas vacation. I understand your concern. By the time the surgeon finished explaining the risks and the numerous releases we had to sign, I sighed... It is really, no big deal, but one has to be cautious.
I will definitely be praying for you.

I have a heavy heart. An old friend, Dick is dying of cancer. As I understand, it is throughout his body. His time is very short. I know he can not be healed, but my prayer is that he can find Jesus before his time comes. He lives so far away that I can not visit him or see him.

I have been praying intensely for his soul. Please join me in praying that the Spirit will call him in that special way only given to those chosen of God. The prayers for the souls of others are not limited by miles and God is in charge of all things. Praise Him for His gifts to us!

Thank you

By His Grace....for His glory!
