I just recieved a text message from my sister regarding my 13 year old nephew. Please pray for them! Here is her message:

"I can't talk right now, but I'm taking Michael to ER. He is confused, having a hard time finding words, c/o headache, loss of some vision and nausea of sudden onset. No fever. He also has a facial droop on right side. I'm very concerned. Can't talk or text much right now because with him, but please pray!"

Welcome, Deborah, to the forum...praying for you. I relate, as I grew up with an angry father.

Praying for you, too, Kiki, and for your mom & family...God really does hear us & really does help us with the stuff that we can't handle.

Nikki, those symptoms almost sound like a stroke, but he's 13! Praying, praying!

Deborah,

Hi and welcome. I'm praying for you also. When I was younger (much younger and long ago) I had the same problem so I do understand.

Thank you everyone for praying. Nowisee, I was thinking a stroke too but he is super young. They did a CT scan of his head then cleared him to go home with a diagnosis of a Mirgraine Aura, you can read about them here: http://ezinearticles.com/?Migraine-Aura:-Is-a-Headache-Coming-or-Something-Worse?&id=6716785

Apparently there are types of migraines that have symptoms that mimic strokes. I had never heard of it. My sister learned through this that we have family members who get these when they have sudden lifestyle changes like sleep deprivation, high stress, diet changes. My cousins entire left arm went paralyzed for a couple days. While they are not strokes, they must rule out stroke and then still take them seriously because they can mean a stroke is coming in a weeks or so...if I read that article right.

Anyway, he is better! Thank you all for praying, that was a rough night. Shortly after learning about my nephew my daughter's asthma got away from us and we rushed her off to urgent care. She is still struggling to get on track and we are all growing weary. Please, pray for little Abbie to recover soon.

Through these illnesses God has shown me this week that He is not just our Father who provides for us, but He is our Father who provides for our kids. He is their Abba and He will care for them even when we don't know what to do. For peace at the ER tonight I quoted to myself Psalm 27, but changed it up a little, "The Lord is her light and her salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of her life, of whom shall I be afraid?..."

Thank you all for praying.

Kiki and Deborah, I'm praying for you too. Kiki, remember Phil 4. It has helped many brothers and sisters in Christ through depression and suffering. I am sorry you are dealing with suicidal thoughts, those are from the enemy, stay close to God's word! He paid a high price for you and has a plan for your life.

Nikki~

Thank-you for the update on your nephew~

I will continue to pray for him~

I know how scarey
'asthma' attacks can be. I suffered with them
from the age of about 5 years till into my teens. Then they went away!
I pray Abbie's will cease sooner than mine!

Praying for your little Abbie~
Remember~ 'Our' 'Abba' is Greater! HE is Healer of all our diseases!
By HIS stripes we are healed~

Hello Everyone,
I just got a phone call from my fellow-elder, who says his cousin is coming to visit today. She is from a nearby town (Veszprém, Hungary)and was a charismatic Christian (Faith Church)but has recently started attending the Adventist group and is apparently very impressed.
She wants to talk, and László has asked me to help.
It may be too late before anyone sees this, but could you pray for us, and her. I don't know her name yet, but I will get back.
Thanks,
Adrian

Doc; I'm praying too.

Those who don't know their Bible's really well can so easily be decieved by Adventism. For example, if someone thinks that the Sabbath was changed to Sunday - not realizing that JESUS fulfilled all the various types of Sabbaths and that HE is our Sabbath Rest now (Colossians 2:16-17), they're going to think they have to keep a day holy. Of course, they've likely been trying to keep a day (Sunday) holy already. Trying to keep any day holy is a mistake since Jesus fulfilled the day!

An SDA sister I have keeps pointing out Matthew 5:17-18. It says that not one jot or tittle will pass from the law or the prophets "till all is fulfilled." I don't understand why can't she see what it says. If not one jot or tittle will pass from the PROPHETS then we have to continue the sacrifices! I've tried to point that out to her, but it's like she's been blinded!

Thanks for the prayers everyone. I'm realizing that while it may take longer to reach certain life goals (and even meet a nice guy) than other people, God is working with me through His timetable. I just need to have faith. I'm also happy to be figuring out a 2nd career too:-)

Thanks Asurprise, we had one offer that was too low, so the house sits. I get very depressed when I look for work, I think I am going to give up looking for work. Suicide is an option that comes and goes.

Kiki~

Suicide is not an option for a "Child of GOD"~

He lives in you and through you, as you are attentive to the plan HE has for your life.

GOD is your Savior, and Provider~ HE loves you so much, HE gave HIS very life to save
you and bring you to HIMSELF!

GOD is Faithful~ HE is Trustworthy to keep HIS promises to provide for all your needs.

Praying for you~
