Update on Jan: Night before last the hospital released her to a nursing care facility. Last night at eleven pm the care facility called to let me know that she had 104° fever and were sending her back to the hospital. I spent the night there with her in ER. Her fever was back under control but with a chest X-ray, blood testing and a cat scan led to a strong possibility of blood clots so she has been re-admitted. I got home and slept until noon. She was able to talk clearly before I came home which she hadn't been able to do for three days or so. Phil | ||

A prayer request for a brother. Those on FB know I asked all to pray for a brother. This is another brother. I have 3 younger brothers. The first on is the oldest of the 3 younger brothers. This one is for the youngest. He is in the hospital with a mass on his spine. He has lost some feeling in his legs, but does have a Babinski relfex in his feet. It is a long story which I do not want to tell right now. This mass on his spine may be cancer. This brother accepted Christ at a Billy Graham crusade when he was 16. He is no longer SDA and neither is his family. What kind of relationship with Christ he has I do not know. His Children are born again Christians. I do not know about his wife except that she is no longer SDA. Please pray that he know Jesus Christ. Thanks prayer warriors. Diana | ||

I had an appointment to see an orthopedic surgeon yesterday and learned I need surgery to repair a damaged tendon that attaches to my right knee cap. It is an outpatient procedure but recovery includes three weeks of where I cannot use the right leg for three weeks with total recovery lasting six weeks. Right now I am restricted on how I go up stairs or any other incline. Since I am Jan's 24/7 caregiver there has to be provisions made to do all the things I now do by others when I am recovering. Prayers requested for wisdom to make all the right preparations, that I can recover well enough to carry on with my duties and that Jan will be safe while I am out of action. PS I have already had both knee joints totally replaced (9 & 12 years ago) and don't need them replaced again for many years to come. Dear Phil~ YOU are the "Fearless One" for Sure~! You may rest assured I will be praying that our God who is all wise and powerful will give you wisdom and discernment in this situation~as He has always done in the past~ Remember~~~ He has already answered your need! mj, Since I am now 74 and all my friends my age also have health issues at least I don't feel alone. My dad died at age 52 which happened 50 years ago and his 7 brothers died about the same age along with his sister. So, once I got past my own fifties I decided God had something special in mind for me. Anyway, my one personal desire is to be able to care for my wife of 49 years. PS And I wouldn't mind seeing Adventism come apart and be exposed for what it is before the Lord takes me home.
