Please add my SDA brother preacher to your list. Pray that his blinders will fall off and crash to the ground! His name is Chuck.

Having just had a sick little granddaughter I am overwhelmed with feeling for a percious little boy I take care of at the child care where I work.
Yesterday he was not himself at all and his color was really bad and several of us were very concerned. He has been sick a lot with colds and the like but something seemed different yesterday. I consoled myself into thinking but he's been to the Dr. and surely they have run blood tests and would have found anything serious enough to make him so colorless. Today we got word that he had gone to the Dr. and after blood tests he was taken by ambulance to a larger hospital and later we learned he had been given blood transfusions and there is talk of possibly leukemia. My heart is just aching for him and Mom especially since she works there also.

Thanks for prayers for him. He is only 22 months old. Carol

Hello everyone, a prayer request for a friend. I've mentioned her before, she has ovarian cancer, has been fighting it for about five years now, and is no longer responding to chemo and in the final stages. She asked all of her friends to pray and ask their churches to pray for her and her family. The thing that really bothers me is that every time she asks for prayer, she says she HOPES she will be in heaven when Jesus comes, she hopes she will be READY for Him. (She is SDA.) That's what breaks my heart most, the fact that she is still insecure about her salvation. I say what I can, encourage her that He will never leave her, and she WILL spend eternity with Him, but she is so filled with the SDA teachings and garbage that I don't think she is able to be encouraged by that. Anyway, please pray for her. She is my age (42) and has children. Thanks everyone! Love and prayers, Carol #2

Carol 2,

I will pray for your friend especially that she give the fear she has over to God, since like you say He will never leave us. I heard those very words from my Lord and Saviour when my husband lay and as I was sure dying of a massive heartattack as I prayed the Lord's prayer and when I got to thy will be done I said "NO Lord I don't want your will" and He said "I'll be with you". I was at complete peace when that happened and coninued on in the prayer never breaking stride with my son.

As it turns out my husband was shocked 14 times for sure and possibably 21 depending on whose information is correct Nurse or Doctor>

Be sure to understand I had no idea when I was told I'll be there that in fact He was going to save my husband but rather I knew He meant whatever was coming down He would be with me and that is what gave me total uncomprehendable peace.

I would encourage you to give her a simple verse For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever BELIEVETH in Him should NOT PERSIH but have EVERLASTING LIFE. Go over that with her until she understands that is all we need.

Love and Prayers, Carol

Carol,
I too will pray for your friend. I have not been in this situation too often, so I am curious. What is her state of mind like. Is she more or less open to spiritual issues right now? Is she searching for answers? My prayer is that the perfect opportunity will arise for you to share with her the peace she can have in the knowledge that Jesus has already done all that needs to be done, and because he was ready, she is ready.

In His Grace

Doug

Last night I was awakened with a terrible stomach ache but out of the pain came the words of this song LET THE GLORY OF THE LORD RISE AMONG US. As I was reading my one year Bible this morning in
Numbers 16
19 When Korah had gathered all his followers in opposition to them at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, the glory of the LORD appeared to the entire assembly.
I realized I most definitely had a God find as my 50 day adventure study guide has instructed me to look for and then share and thus I am.

As my kids(daughter and son-in-law) are spending some time together tonight I would covet your prayers and lift them up to God; that in fact His Glory might Rise Among Us.

Thank you for your expressions of concern for this family of which God ordained, Carol

Will pray for your family Carol,

I have a praise! :)

We moved here in October and I'm not sure why, someone tried to break in one night while we were here and then the back door lock was broken and the door open one Sunday when we came back from church, we had left the TV on so I guess it scared them because nothing was taken. Our church is about a 45 minute drive and that's a pain, we haven't had any influence on anyone that I know of because we don't see anyone, it's in the country. I can't figure out why we were here, BUT we found a house, much nicer than this one, almost new in a nice neighborhood 6 miles from church, the man agreed to lease it to us until we can get ours sold in Columbia (it's leased) and we are moving this weekend!! This is nothing but God. I prayed if it wasn't his will that it wouldn't go through and all went well and we are so excited! God is so good to us!

Sabra, I'm so happy for you! Can I infer from your post that things are going well in your family right now?

You are still in my prayers.

Things are going great, thanks!

Sunday we were singing a song about "He brought me out of the miry clay and set me on a rock" Ps. 40:2 and all this week so far almost everything I turn on TV or radio is about that verse! I didn't think we were in the miry clay but I had a dream a while back where Jesus came to me and told me He had something better for my life. I thought things were pretty good, I'm always amazed at how blessed I am, especially when I think about the rest of the world.

No joke, you all can laugh if you want but when I first partnered with Joyce Meyer I had no money and used my bill money because I felt like God told me to. When I got home from the conference there was 644.00 in the mail.

Then a few months ago I up'd the pledge 5.00 more a month. The next day I got 843.00 in the mail, both of these were profit sharing/ 401k accounts from my previous employer, so I up'd it another 5.00 a month and we got a dream house!

I know tithing is not a law and I understand where you all are coming from but I can't outgive God, you just can't imagine! There is no reason we should be doing this well, I don't even work anymore and my husband has no education.

Tithe!! Just "Try it and see if He doesn't pour out a blessing you wont have room enough to hold!"
(my paraphrase)

For the past couple of months I've been attending a Protestant Women of the Chapel Bible study near here. Mainly I want to find out how our church can better minister to the military families in our area. Over the past month, at each weeks meeting there are a couple more wives there who report that their husbands have been deployed. Usually it is to Kuwait.

These women are a remarkable bunch. They are showing great strength and courage. Their concern is for their husbands and each other, rather than themselves. Their support for one another is really touching. But with each week there is a subtle, but notable, rise in the tension, understandably, as they face the uncertainties of empending war.

This week the comment I heard from several of them was this, "but what about my kids? How do I help them?" A couple of the stories told about watching their husbands interacting with their kids were just heartrending.

When you hear or read news about our troops, would you please join me in sending up a prayer for the family members left behind? These folks need our support.

And, if any of you are acquainted with some of the families yourseves, and have been wondering if there is something you can do to help, may I offer a suggestion? One big concern they have is with their rising phone bills. This is true not only for those who can still have phone contact with their husbands, but for those who can't contact them anymore. The families are making many more calls home to mom and dad and to friends. And it is a strain on the finances. I have no doubt that a phone card would be a real blessing for them.

Lydel,

What a great idea. Isn't it wonderful how the Lord uses all of us to think of some way to help our fellow man. That is such a neat idea.

I remember a neat idea when we lost our daughter-in-law and the neighbors gave us a roll of stamps instead of food and that was very creative, just like this.

It takes us all to give ideas in the wonderful scheme of things for Jesus Christ and His children and then for all of us to come together as a family and support those ideas.

I see these phone cards in the waiting lines of discount stores and grocery stores so when you see one just pick it up and give it to someone.

Let the Glory of the Lord rrriiSSEE among us, Carol

Lydell,

That is a great idea indeed! I offer prayer to God that the families of the men being sent or are currently there, that they be Comforted by God Himself and through the support of us who can help. In Jesus Christ Name. This I pray. amen.

Pheeki,

I'm in agreement with you on the prayer that the devil be binded if he tries to oppose Scripture. In Jesus Christ Name. This I pray. amen.

I also request prayer that whosoever has anything against me, be convicted by God Himself and will repent.

I also request prayers for my friend Arleta that our Lord Jesus the Christ will be with her to uphold her in these late years of hers. These things I pray in Jesus Christs Name. amen.

I will be praying for all of us!But I would also like to ask for a prayer for my husband.Tomorrow at 12:00,he is meeting our ex-pastor from our ex-home church. They are meeting for lunch! This guy is a very good man and he had ALOT of influience[sp]on Jerry when we went over there.I kept leaving little subtle notes and e-mails to Jerry to get him to read Galatians, and praise the Lord,he finally did,BUT...he is so confused that I am afraid he will ask Ben[pastor]about it and you know how they are, they always have a explanation for all their 'beliefs'. So please pray for him, that he won't take Ben at his word, and will come home and study for himself.[And not come home and throw out the TV and my meat!!] God Bless!! Angie

I just read your prayer request and suggestion, Lydell. What a great idea!

Pheeki, I also pray that the Holy Spirit will be present here and protect the forum and each of us from evil, deception, dissension, and distraction from our focus on Jesus. I'm thankful for all of us whom He brings here.

Denise, I'm also praying for Arleta as well as for you.

Angie, I just saw your post. I will also pray for your husband and for you. Praise God that he knows what each of us needs in order to learn we need to surrender to him.
