This probably doesn't need to be said, but let's all make a priority to pray for our country and our President, as well as all the world and its leaders. And of course our military personnel and their families. God is in control!!!!

Thankful for His protection and assurance of salvation, Carol #2

I posted last nite,I guess I messed up.Well he came in a few hours later, and he didn't have that guilty look on his face[thats a good thing, sda always makes him feel unworthy]I had asked him to read Gal. with Ben,I don't know if he did or not.I didn't want to 'make' him tell me,b/c it always ends in a argument.I thought I would ask him tonight. But he did have the latest study that the church has been studying, guess what it is?'A study of the 70 weeks and 2300 days prophecy's'!!The very study that truly convinced me that sda teach false doctrin! He didn't bother to bring it in,I got it out of his truck.I can read the 'red book' and understand it and see the error, but to put it in word or writting is another thing. So,until 3:00 last night I was studing,I WILL figure out a way of explaining this to him.I just thought, what a blessing, maybe this is what I need to at least plant that seed, but I know that it isn't me who can make it grow!!Thanks for asking. I have heard the red book mentioned before. Would someone please tell me about it.

Praying for those who must make crucial decisions which allow us to live this wonderful free life. Praying for those who must carry out those decisions while living in undesirable circumstances without family. I pray also for those on the other side as they also have families. Carol

Carol,

The "red book/s" are egw writings.

I'm with you on prayer for the other side too, right along with our troops, their families and our leaders.

Angie,

My prayers go up to God for your household so that your husband will see God's Truth. I'll pray for God to help him see.

These things above I pray in Christ, Jesus name. amen.

Dear friends,

I know I seldom post here but I do monitor and read much of what is written.

I have a prayer request I need to post. Yesterday between 5:45am and about 6:15am my daughter disappeared. At the moment all signs point to her running away but my wife and I have heard nothing from her at all. She is 16 and we adopted her 12 years ago. She has had to deal with many issues of abandonment and abuse from before coming to live with us. I ask for prayers on her behave for her safety and coming to know God's presence in her life and for my wife who is really taking it very hard. I also ask for your prayers that I might exhibit God's love in all my dealing with what is happening.

Thanks much, In His hands,

Richard

Richard and wife,

May God give you the strengh you need at this time. I cannot imagine how difficult it would be to have your child missing. Mine at times have been missing for a few hours and I know the torment it causes a parent.

I also know that God will be with you thru whatever might happen since I have been there too.

I was told by God that at a very curcial time in my life and the "life" of my husband that "I'll be with you" and I can say with full assurance that He was.

Praying that you will accept His divine trust and power for your daughter.

Love and prayers, Another Carol

Richard, I am praying for your daughter and for you and your wife. I completely understand how the past can cause the present to disintigrate without warning. I actually have a student now riding that fine line, and I understand your fear and worry and agony.

With prayers for you and yours,
Colleen

Father God, you know where this child has gone. I ask that you will today move the person who has the information of where she is to come forward. That the need to do so will be such an overwhelming compulsion that they can't ignore it. That before the end of this day Richard and his wife will know where their daughter has gone.

And Lord, move in this child's heart to remember all the tender things that her parents have done for her and the love she has experienced because of them. Bombard her with those memories. Everywhere she turns remind her of your love for her. We ask that you will silence the enemy who has been encouraging her anger. Father, please soften her heart and turn her toward home.

Hi Everyone, I said I was out of here but read an email that I thought I would pass along first. I guess it could be considered a prayer of sorts or maybe as the preacher calls it "a prayer of praise" but you can be the judge. I thought it was good food for thought anyway. God bless and have a good night, Janice

If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you can not handle, do not attempt to resolve it yourself !! Kindly put it in the SFGTD (something for God to do) box. Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold onto it by worrying about it. Instead, focus on all the wonderful things that are present in your
life now.
If you find yourself stuck in traffic; Don't despair. There are people in this world for whom driving is an unheard of privilege.
Should you have a bad day at work; Think of the man who has been out of work for years.
Should you despair over a relationship gone bad; Think of the person who has never known what it's like to love and be loved in return.
Should you grieve the passing of another weekend; Think of the woman in dire straits, working twelve hours a day, seven days a week to feed her children.
Should your car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance; think of the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk.
Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror; Think of the cancer patient in chemo who wishes she had hair to examine.
Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what is life all about, asking,'what is my purpose?', be thankful. There are those who didn't live long enough to get the opportunity.
Should you find yourself the victim of other people's bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities; Remember, things could be worse. You could be one of them!

This seems a bit trivial compared to the things going on in the world and in others' lives, but I'm asking for prayer for our older son. He broke his leg today--a clean break at the end of the tibia right at the ankle--and he can't weight bear for at least two months.(He tripped over a stepping stone that stuck up above ground level!) He's pretty bummed about it because this means he can't drive his standard transmission car, and he has to get to school about 40 miles one way. On top of everything, he has two finals tomorrow: differential equations (whatever they are!) and physics. He was feeling a bit strung out and helpless today and was having trouble studying efficiently.

Richard said he felt peace and reassurance that God has all this under control as he sat in urgent care with Roy this morning. I know he's right. But I know Roy could use our prayers right now.

Thanks!

Colleen

One persons life or thoughts are not trivial. Roy means as much to God as all the other things going on. I will pray for your situation today. It always nice to know we have others praying for us. God Bless Terry

Yeah Colleen, it does sound trivial to me. Sounds like just the kind of thing our Father God wants His kids to talk to Him about as much as a war. Praying for Roy. AND that the Lord will bless your whole family. We appreciate so much what you are doing with this website. Or rather, your willingness to allow the Lord to do this through you...
