Thank you guys for your love & concern!

My mother hasn't improved or worsened, but I'm not worried because I have faith and beleive that God will heal her only so that His Holy Name may be Glorified.

The hospital administration have over-ridden our decision to recusitate & have slapped a "DNR" note on her bed.

I won't stop praying! I'm not seeking instant results here. Like Elijah when he prayed seven times before the rains came, I must ask the Holy Spirit to give me some super faith here & teach me patience.

Praise God for His Love! Walking in God's footprints & continually seeking a close relationship with Christ to me is simply perfection! what more would a human being want or need?

Thank you once again guys! God has heard our prayers!

(I'm boring everyone, so I think I'll stop now!)

See you!

Aletha

He everyone,

I have not been around for a while since I am on www.carm.org like our dear brother Joel.

That does not mean that I have forgotten you because that cannot happen since I love you guys so much and you have been wonderful for me in that you share the love of Christ.

While on this other forum a few weeks ago I became very discouraged about the way some SDA's seem not to understand the Power of our Lord and Saviour and only want to argue. I felt at that time that I should leave but something compelled me to stay. Now a woman has come on who is contemplating going for instruction in the SDA church and has been going for 6 months.

I would covet your prayers that God would lead me to give her the answers she needs to make a very important decision. Also pray for her that she would let the Holy Spirit guide her and nothing else.

Good to be with you again, Carol

Carol, pray! It's ultimately all you can do anyway. This is why Jesus warned us about sheep dressed in wolves' clothing. I've been doing battle on CARM too, and I get discouraged at the hardness of heart and blindness of eye I perceive over there. As formers, our hearts SHOULD break as we see these deceptions being promulgated in Jesus' name. At the same time, we need to pray that we ourselves continue to comprehend the REAL Truth, Jesus, as He reveals Himself to us, lest we fall into deceptions ourselves.

I've been trying to work both sides of the pasture lately. I go over there awhile and fence with my sword (the Word of God), then come back to FAF for a break, nourishment, and maintenance & repair of my armor. I feel like the folks over there need to be continually confronted with their tangled, confused, illogical ideas that are NOT based on Scripture. You go! Keep up the heat over there! People are observing and if only one of them is driven straight to Jesus and their Bibles for answers, there is an eternal freedom gained that can never be snatched back. We know how much that freedom is worth, praise God!

I'm praying that people on CARM hear the Truth in their hearts, please join me in Jesus' name.

Carol, I have wondered about you. Thanks for checking in! I'm praying for that woman now.

I've received email from a person in another country who is studying Adventism. This person's pastor is also studying Adventism with a serious bent to joining the church. I have an overwhelming reaction to the emails I've exchanged with this person: the SDA PR machine is powerful and effective. They simply DO NOT tell prospective members the truth about themselves.

I finally suggested that this person cease studying books (including Ratzlaff, Peck, and Rae which some have used in the Evangelical/SDA discussion group this person has been attending) and start reading the Bible, praying for the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth. As long as people are reading other books and listening to other people explain the Bible without doing their own biblical study, they are listening to mere humans, not to the word of God. They cannot hope to know the truth if they do not immerse themselves in the word of God.

With prayers for all of us to be grounded in the word regularly,

Colleen

A good friend of mine, an associate SDA pastor, is currently on his summer-long sabbatical. He has confided in me that he will be using the time to research the history of the church, EGW's influence, and doctrines. He is experiencing what Colleen lovingly referred to last week as "cognitive dissonance". Please join me in praying for Jesus to remove the blinders from him (and continue to do so for us!).

My 23 year old son is on his first mission trip (to Mexico) this week. He is one of the adult leaders with our group of 7 teens. They will be ministering in a town where there is heavy drug usage/kids dealing drugs. The local Catholic priest was recently kicked out for molesting kids.
I'd appreciate your prayer covering.

Freeatlast, I too would be interested in an update on the pastor.

To all. I have a new friend that is a Seventh Day Adventist. We are asking each other questions about Salvation. He is telling me that of course the Law and faith work hand in hand and law will work with faith. Can you pray for me on how to respond to him. Is there a good thread on the forum that will help me on this and a thread on the forum that will be the best way to present the true gospel? I have asked God over the last 2 years if I could help anybody with legalism would he send someone my way! Well God did! Even as I write this email my heart is pumping hard with excitement!!!!!!
Thanks

Speakeasy, Pray that the Holy Spirit will show you what to say. He is the one who is doing the convicting. Try to seem open-minded and discuss instead of argue. I spend most of my free time debating, sorry, discussing with SDA's, feel free to e-mail me if you have a specific question and I'll try to send you scripture.

May the Lord be with you!

Sorry, Speakeasy,

I read your post earlier, but I was not sure if I had the best answers.

I will give it a shot.

If you think your friend would be interested in a Bible study, suggest Galatians.

You can simply read through together and pray for understanding.

It is a little hard, but try not to "interpret" for him. Ask him to do the same. Just read and pray.

Is that the best way? I don't know. I think only you will be able to choose.

God grant understanding in your witnessing.

Jerry

As they said above Speakeasy, pray. Only God knows what that one key issue is in the mind of your friend. You know....the one the guy is really not rock sure of, the one there are some uneasy questions in his mind about, the scripture that will unlock the door. Follow the Lord's promptings.

Hi all,
I know I have not been in here for ages, as I have been so busy, but I would appreciate it if one or two could pray for me.
I have been asked by a pastor friend from Székesfehérvár (west Hungary, about 20 miles from me) to speak about Adventism in his church this Friday evening. He has had some Adventist ladies coming to a house group belonging to his church, but in a nearby village, and teaching the members - in secret, and without permission, of course.
He has asked me to do a presentation, so people will be informed and forearmed. He knows I have studied this, because my best friend and fellow elder went to Adventist Bible College (he is OK now!).
Anyway, I have never done this before, so please pray for me to have wisdom about what to include, and so I can say enough, be clear, and not too complicated.
Thanks!

I thank you guys again for helping out on prayers and Idea's. I sent him an email about what I think salvation is. And all I got out of him was the Law is left out. Just like I was at one time and probably you guys as well. It is so sad that he can not trust the Writtings of Paul and have to go to the Law and of Course the writtings of Ellen White is very important to him. But not the Bible and what it says. If any would like to see what I sent him please tell me. It is a little long. But I needed to get across to him the basic's. That I know he does not trust. If anybody wants to see it please tell me.

This forum is great. Full of people with the love of Christ. This forum has been a Blessing to me eversince God sent me here almost 4 years ago.

One more thing when all of you left the SDA. How long does it take for most of the fears and questions to go away? I still have some problems. about some things. maybe it always will be that way. But Salvation is Not the Problem. That is taken care of. Keep praying for my friend Aaron.
Thanks

I have heard several say "you can't trust the writings of paul". Why not? And how can they claim to be the "only" ones who really read the Bible, but dismiss a significant portion of the NT? Sorry if my ignorance is hanging out....
