ìBî has started reading ìCultic Doctrineî by D. Ratzlaff. He is reading it from a purely defensive position, but I would covet prayers that the Holy Spirit will just aggitate him until he sees the truth! Thanks!

Well I pray to that he will see it. I will have to be honest though sometimes it does not matter what they read it just goes over their heads. They still have that attitude they are not wrong and that they are the choose people. I come from a stand point where I have given Bible texts etc. And they just can not see what I have seen. Maybe it can only happen when they are truely at a point in their life where they really want to study and know what God's word says. I just pray and mourn for many friends who now think I am going to Hell because I knew and now now longer keep the sabbath. Just keep yourself firm and trust in God.

Thanks for the encouragement...and warnings. I know it is not guaranteed. I've already tried most of the scriptures, but perhaps a new voice will help. Perhaps it won't.

Please keep a 5 year old boy named Demetrie in prayer. His family has just found out he has cancer. I know all my friends out there in cyberspace will lift him up in prayer. And pray that the family can deal with news like this. Thank you for your prayers.

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST!! A huge hurricane has hit the shores of Hawaii and two of my children have now lost all their earthly possessions, including all the money (cash) they owned. I sent them some money by Western Union just a bit ago and I hope that can get them through the tough times they are facing until they can get more things that they need in order to survive. The hurricane is registured 2. A 3 hurricane is total devistation. I don't know what they will do. My children and I spoke on the phone several minutes ago and and they are unhurt and in good health. However, all their food, clothing, EVERYTHING THEY OWNED has been lost and/or destroyed. They were able to save their sleeping bags as when the police came by to evacuate the community just before the hurricane hit they each grabbed their sleeping bags on their way out to the evacuation vechile. PLEASE, pray that my sons will be kept safe in the arms of Jesus and that they will take this as the perfect time to learn to trust in the Lord with all their hearts. You all can go to www.weather.com and read about the hurricae. Thank-you very much. In the Lord's peace, thank-you, Susan

My sons phoned today. They are fine. I thought they'd use the money I sent them on clothing, food and other necessary supplies but they spent a portion of it on weed. Goes back to the saying me and my friends had in days long past that went like this, "Weed will get you through hard times of no money better than money will get you through hard times of no weed". Well, whatever. I thank the Lord that they are safe and in good health. As far as possessions go, well, none of us have a great attachment to things. They can always start over as far as getting stuff is concerned. Thanks for the prayers and please do not ever cease praying on behalf of my family and loved ones. I really do appriciate it. I am grateful that my children are o.k. and are no longer in harms way. I am planning to go out and spend two weeks with them in several months. That should be a trip to remember! My son told me on the phone when I come out I am to pack as few clothes as I can get by with and then fill up my suitcases with food. I asked him why and he told me except for fruit the food there is very expensive as it all must be shipped over. So, I guess that is what I will do. Just toss a few rags to wear in the luggage and take them food.

Hello everyone!

I have a prayer request for you all. Last Friday (8/29) Sara hurt her back while she was in the shower. She was shaving her legs and when she put her leg up on the side of the tub, she said she felt a pop and couldn't walk without pain. I was out with CJ and she called me in a panic. When I got home, she was lying down and she just rested for awhile.

We were getting things together to go down to West Palm Beach to visit with my parents and have some time to ourselves before I left for the Air Force. She was able to make it down the stairs to the car, but the four hour drive down there likely made things worse. When we got to my parents' place, the elevator was broken and we had to go up the stairs, but she couldn't make it up the first stair. She collapsed at the bottom of the stairs and at that point we called for an ambulance.

At the hospital they did next to nothing. They wanted to do an x-ray, but we recently found out she's pregnant again so they couldnt do that. They wanted to do an MRI, but since it was the weekend, Labor Day weekend at that, they couldn't do one until at least Tuesday. So they admitted her and drugged her up. But she wasn't getting any better. Between four, yes FOUR doctors, they did absolutely nothing over six days. We pleaded with the docs to at least let us get her back here to Gainesville because we knew we could get her better treatment and I needed to tie up loose ends before I left.

After much pleading, Sara was discharged Thursday afternoon and we managed to get her comfy enough in the car to get back. When we got back into town, one of our good friends who's an RN suggested we take her to Shands Hospital, which is right on the campus of the University of Florida. They don't play games. In only 5 hours in their ER, they diagnosed her (wow, they didn't even do that down in West Palm) with sciatica, a nerve inflammation in the lower back. She's just on meds and bed rest. With me leaving on Monday, things have gotten a bit more complicated. Our nurse friend has offered to spend a few nights a week here with her, which she would have anyway. We have lots of other friends from the campus fellowship we're with that are helping too. We've had to enroll CJ into a day care at least until Sara gets better.

Please pray that Sara will have a speedy recovery. Right now she can't walk, can't sit up, can't hardly move much without pain. The meds are helping, and she has a heat pack for her back and also a walker for when she absolutely has to get up. I can only do the best I can until Monday afternoon. Our apartment complex is also giving us a first story apartment next weekend, so our friends are going to help us move. I was extremely stressed out yesterday with all the running around town I had to do, but I'm alright now. I do kinda feel helpless, but I know Sara will be taken care of. We could certainly use your prayers.

Thanks a bunch,

Joel London

Night before last I went to e,mergency as I hadbeen having a really suvere pain right in my waist area on the left front of me. It turns out I have an intestional infection called diverticulitis. I am on two very strong antibiotics. Unfortunatelly antibiotics really mess with my emotionsand when I take antibiotics I will go into crying spells at the drop of a pin. From now on I am to eat nothing with seeds. That's too bad because I love poppy seed muffins and granola bars and all that sort of food. But, I certanily will comply with those instructions because I sure do not want this horrible illness ever again. The scan showed that a seed had lodged in a fold of skin in the intestine and turned into infection. Please, keep this in your prayersas I am very miserable as well as being very miserable for anyone else to bearound me. Thanks.
