Thomas,

You stated this in part:

"Through all the frightening times and the painful times He has never failed to give me an opportunity to share Him with others. Maybe coming from a "Wreck" like me, the sweetness of he Gospel will have more meaning and more reality for someone hearing it for the first time, while giving me medical assistance. If that is my only function left in life, then I thank Jesus for the opportunity. It's worth the pain."

You know, I can relate to that! Isn't it amazing what God does do?

Seems like for me too, that with my disability, it has people thinking the same thing about me...sort of in the lines of "well, if God can use someone like THAT, then maybe He'll use me too."

Or they just come out and start praising God and these will be people who are just learning about Him but upon looking at me, there they are Giving Shouts of Praise to God! Amazing to me.

So, yes, it's worth the pain. Although I have to admit, I do not always think like that when the pain is especially intense!! No, no,,,,,I'm quite, as Jerry said above, IMPATIENT and CRANKY!! :)

True story about me.

Thank you for letting me know you are out there Thomas. May God Himself Shine His Face Upon You!

your sister in Christ Jesus.

Denise, the real pain ::grin::

My prayers are going up for you my brother.

Dear Jerry,

You?? Impatient?? Nah....can't be..not you Jerry!?!?.. Funny what even the little things do to us if they are persistant enough, huh?

The secret to my spirits being up is God giving me folks like you! We have such a grand HOPE! Just think, I'll get to meet you! :)

Thank you for your kind words.

Blessings and Peace to your household Jerry.

your sister in Christ Jesus,

denise....the old cranky hag sometimes! :)

I have a prayer praise. My 18 year old son arrived safely home yesterday after being in Italy for seven months and five days. He's grown. He's healthy and he's totally estatic about being back on U.S. soil once again. He keeps running around saying, "Oh, there's no place like home."

Praise God for your son's homecoming.

Imagine how much more joyous our Father in Heaven is when we come home to Him.

I will share a very personal and private story with you all here. The events happened right out in public thopugh. Yesterday morning I went to the supermarket to get some groceries. There was an adorable little boy with one of those little kid shopping carts putting his families groceries in the cart. Up and down the isles he would go with hisdaddy trailing behind. Every so often the little boy would stop at some food item and say, ¨Daddy do we need this¨? and usually his daddy would tell him they didn´t need that item and to put it back but once in awhile, like when the child stopped at the cookies and asked, ¨Daddy, do we need some of these?¨hisdaddy said that they needed cookies and to put the cookies in his cart. After watching them for some time I finilly said to the daddy, ¨You sure are a lucky man to have such a great helper.¨The little boy came right up to me and said, ¨My daddy and me have to stick together now and be helpers for each othert because my mamma died and we only have each other now¨ I said, ¨When did your mamma die¨? and the daddy said, ¨Several weeks ago¨. I asked the little boy how old he is and hesaid, ¨five¨. I became overcome with emotion, right there in the big store and I went to the little boy and I put my arms around him and I just started cring my eyes out on this little five year old shoulder. I kept saying, Ï´m sorry, I´m so sorry to hear that your mommy died. I´ll bet you sure do miss her. My daddy died several months ago and I miss him so much¨: I told the little boy, ¨Weather you are five or fifty when your parent dies and you love your parent so much then it isso hartd.¨I told him that him and his daddy are so blessed to have each other. His daddy thanked me for sharing my sorrow and greif with them and we all went our seperate ways. The daddy looked around the sameage as my son, who has a five year old little girl. For some reason, the daddy and the little boy have been in my heart. Please, keep them in your prayers. I live in a small, not a large urban community. If it is God´s will that the little boy have a ¨grandma¨ in this area to dote on him and spoil him then please pray that The Lord will work a miracle that I cam run into tjis little boy and his daddy again. It that is not God´s will, then, cool, but may the Lord bless and keep that daddy and his little boy. Thank-you.

Susan, that is so sad. Don't you just think the Holy Spirit prompted you to talk to them? Will pray for them and you.

The last thread about posting is apparently still not working correcting. I get "authentication error" when I key my message on that thread.

I wanted to ask if the key work search was operational now. It has been down for months.

I have a prayer praise. I got hired for a job last week. It´s a temporary position and will end August 31 but at least it´s a job for now. In the meantime while I´m doing this job I will be putting in applications for employment for when this job ends.

Thanks to those who prayed for our missions team in Mexico. They came home this afternoon. Altogether there were around 500, mostly teens, from around the US who went on the trip. Among other things, they report that in one town a 12 year old boy who had a congenital back problem was healed, also an adult deaf mute is now hearing and speaking! Praise God.

My son tells me that the picture that sticks in his mind was the day they were doing an outreach in a city park where they were telling Bible stories to kids. He had picked up a small girl and held her so she could see the storyteller. He was deeply moved watching her face as she listened so intently to the story, then his heart was melted as he heard her singing the newly learned song about Jesus.

And here's a fascinating story for you. Before they headed out to do missions work, the teens had a time of praying for each other. One of the boys from our church was surprised when, while praying for another boy, he suddenly felt that God had a message for this kid. He felt like the Lord wanted him to remember this urgent message: "catch the child!" I guess both the boys thought that was rather strange.

Well a couple of days later, the boy to whom the message was given was in town doing an outreach. He noticed 3 children playing in a parked car across the street. They were shoving each other back and forth. Something about the sight made him uneasy, maybe it was that one of the doors was open. Anyway, he shouted to the kids to stop, then when they seemed to ignore him, he hurried across the street. He arrived at the open door just in time to catch the smallest child as she was falling head first out the door. God is really good at His job.

Hello Everyone!

I just wanted to offer a quick praise and thanksgiving to the Lord for bringing me and my family safely back home to North Carolina. (We've just finished a complicated and protracted move from CA to NC...)

After two months without them (I came ahead by myself to start my new job...), I am so grateful to be back together as a FAMILY again!!

We had an exhausting journey (I've driven across the entire width of the country three times now in the past two months!), but it was largely uneventful and we are all safe. I am most grateful for that! And now, we are in an area that we all think we are going to LOVE, and I am blessed to be back in a job that I really like. We are truly enjoying those "Showers of Blessing" just now!!

Just want to say a "Thank You" to Jesus!

Hi, Dennis!

Praise God that you are safe and reunited with each other! How cool is it that even though you've moved across the continent, you can still be part of all of us?!

Enjoy your holiday season!

Thanks to all of you who have prayed for my mom. The stroke was on the left side of her brain and the communication center has been affected. She is unable to speak or write. Today she managed to make a sound on her own effort, and has made a couple more with the prompting of a speech therapist. It is clear that she understands most everything we say, and is attempting to draw pictures and gesture some to try to communicate with us. Things could be far far worse, and we are deeply grateful.

Hopefully in the next couple days she will be moved to rehab. Please keep her in your prayers. So far her attitude has been remarkably good. Please keep praying, particularly for excellent speech and occupational therapists. Thanks so much for your prayers.

I just want to thank you all for your prayers. My surgery went amazingly well. I was able to sit up the same day of the surgery and walk the following morning without getting dizzy or light headed. I am so thankful to God for being with me. He is so AWESOME. I am recuperating slowly and trying to regain some weight. I hope I can reach 100 lbs. before I go back to work. Don't want my students staring at a scarecrow. Ha! ha!.
Again thank you so much for your prayers.

Jeannette, thank you for updating us. I've been continuing to pray foryou. When do you go back to work? What do you teach? (You know how we teachers are--it's kind-of like solders sharing their foxhole stories together!)

Hi Colleen
I teach chemistry, I have mosty Juniors and Senior. This year a have the most wonderful kids, can't wait to get back. I plan to go back on the 26th provided everything continues to improve. I feel bad for my students, chemistry is not an easy subject and is fun when you can do labs. They have two subs (they alternate days) and neither one has a science background and don't dare to do labs. I really appreciate that they are holding down the fort for me, but I can't wait to get back.
Thanks for your prayers
Jeannette
