Carol, I will pray that you will find freedom from the spirit of Adventism and that you will experience the Holy Spirit taking its place in your heart. When Richard prayed for our family that God would remove the spirit of Adventism from our hearts and put the Holy Spirit where it had been, all our emotional/theological ties, doubts, and heart tugs ceased.

I am thankful that I grew up Adventist and that I knew its secrets well. God is redeeming that heritage in my life; I feel that I understand salvation and grace in a more astonishing and powerful way than I would have if I had not grown up so purposefully under the law.

Praise Jesus for setting us free!

Carol,

Keeo your eyes on Jesus
Look full in His wonderful face
And the (former) things of this earth will grow
strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace!

We used to sing hymns like that but they never meant as much as they do now, when we really CAN look at His glory and grace!

In His Grip, always!

Thanks Colleen, Thomas and everyone for your prayers! I had an incredible weekend, between the "Freedom Encounter" Friday nite & Saturday, then church on Sunday. I really feel the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in my life right now, as well as at my church.

It was funny though, at the "Freedom Encounter" seminar, the Lord opened my eyes to a couple of areas in my life I need to deal with, and I almost felt like the reason I thought I was going there wasn't the real reason at all! Funny how He works sometimes.

It was a great blessing, and thanks again for the prayers.

Love, Carol

Been praying for ya Carol, since we chatted, sorry I didn't see this before now. Sometimes I click "last day" and miss stuff.

I'm glad the weekend was good. I'm really missing Central Baptist, boo hoo, I'm thinking of going down there this weekend just to go to church! They are having a revival and I am missing it. Was I supposed to move? How could I stay? I'm so mixed up! Pray for me too, that I didn't go back to Egypt or something, I feel no direction! No Word! God seems to have taken a sabatical from me!

Silence is hard, but that doesn't mean he's forgotten you. I know when I was going through my latest struggles, and God was so silent. When he finally started talking, I realized he was putting other things in place to meet me where I was when I was finally ready. But I say it again. Silence is hard...the mind can make up all kinds of fanciful stories.

I am in the process of going into business for myself. God has been leading me and I know He will continue to lead me. It is something He has put in my mind a long time ago and I did not have the courage to follow through until recently, when I go fired from a job. I have a good paying part time job now and time to work on getting this business started. I do not know you folks but I do know you will pray for me. That is one thing I miss about not going to the sda church. We prayed for each other and let the others know when God answered the prayers. I miss that part.
Oh, please pray for my son who is in the Air Force.
Government bureaucracy screwed up his pass port. Some one thinks he has a Canadian passport (he was born in Montreal, Quebec), but he was registered as a USA citizen and has only had a passport from the USA. He never had a Canadian passport. He has lost his security clearance because of this mixup. He has also been overseas 4 times in the past two years before the government said anything to him about the passport mixup. The good thing about this is that he has been able to stay home to be with his little boy who will be a year old on June 7. My son hates to be gone from home and miss the milestones his son makes.
I will also add all of you to my prayer list and I will let you know when God answers my prayers.

My dad had lymphoma almost 9 years ago and it has come back in the last few months. He's on some experimental drugs and is really having a hard time. He doesn't have the positive attitude I saw last time, so that concerns me. It is very stressful for my step-mom who's first husband died from lymphoma as well. I would appreciate them being remembered.

Thanks.

Melissa,
I just said a prayer for you, your father and his wife and for the rest of the family. I do not know what God has in mind, but stay close to Him. God is with you always as it says in Matthew 28:19,20.
I thank all of your for your prayers for my son and for my business. When the prayers are answered I will let all of you know.
God is awesome,
Diana

Hi folks! Just a quick request for prayer. My 4 year old jumped off a picnic table as part of a game yesterday: in his words "Molly (his 6 year old sister) had a good idea. Lets twirl on the picnic table and then jump off and twirl. It wasn't a very good idea!"

He hurt his right forearm in the landing. Right now it looks ever so slightly bowed. We're not sure if that's because of the swelling or if it actually has a slight fracture. We have put ice on it, and wrapped it.

He is playing happily today, and using both hands, but not with as much vigor as he usually has. If it isn't better by tomorrow morning we'll be making a Dr. visit to get it X-rayed. (This was my MD mom's advice. I wish she was closer. She lives on the other side of the country!

Mary, I'll pray for him. Roy, our older son, had a greenstick fracture when he was about two. They heal quickly!

Just an update on my dad. They switched his meds shortly after my last post and he has been handling that one much better. I haven't heard results of recent scans, but just that his disposition is better helps tremendously. He was even able to go with me to scout camp for parents day ... a big deal for my son as he is the 4th generation of our family to go to that particular scout camp. Thanks to everyone who has been remembering him.

Update on my son's arm. It is broken. The inner forearm bone (radius) is completely snapped. The doctor moved it closer to it's proper place today and put on a temporary cast. My little one only groaned a little and made faces while it was being set. Now all it has to do is heal! (and possibly get a full cast in about a week.)

God provided a very kind and thoughtful medical facility for us, and worked out payment for us too!

I'm really thankful! Thank you for your prayers too!

I need more prayers. I am in the process of opening a business but while I am in the process I need money coming in to pay my bills. I applied for a full time job yesterday. In the meantime I am still working doing my home health, but my patient caseload has gone way down and I have not worked for two days. Prior to that I had only 1-2 patients per day. So please pray, that if it is God's will I get this full time job.
I know God is awesome and He will do what is best for me.

Praying for you Diana. Finally made it back on line, all moved, well, sort-of, you know how that is. I'm here anyways, even if I can't find my head!

May the Lord bless your business in a big way! I know He will supply all of your needs according to His riches and Glory! :-)

Another prayer request for my niece Kim. I told you folks that she thinks she can talk to her dead mother. Well, she wrote to me a couple weeks ago about a series of books, called the Left Behind series, I think. She did not see how a God of love can be in heaven with those he took to heaven and watch their loved ones suffer. I wrote back, that I would like to tell her about it, but she had asked me not to send her any Chistian literature, so I respected her wishes. Guess what she wrote back!!! Give it your best shot auntie. So I have been praying and composing a letter to her. I want to say what God Wants me to say and not my own words. SO PLEASE, EVERY ONE, PRAY FOR ME AS I WRITE TO KIM.
I am crying as I write this. God loves her as much as he does each of us. I need lots of help from Him right now as I write this letter to her. She asked me to give it my best shot and I
really need God's help. She has never asked anything like that before. In fact I was very surprised when she did ask.
Thanks all of you for your prayers. I know God is with me as I write as He has brought verses to my mind.
He is awesome and He will prevail with Kim.

Praying for your niece, Diana. Looks like you got an open door! Claim James 1:5-8 and God will give you the wisdom you need and the words to say.
