God does answer prayer! Praise Him! I'm so happy for you Nowisee!

Francie, I was just a few minutes ago thinking about and praying for Debbie. - Just saw your post and hope - and pray that her healing is complete and permanent.

Thank you for your continued prayers.
Debbie's has a new neurologist and has cut down on her migraine medications and changed her to a couple of new ones. Wants her to try these a while and see what happens,, Dr. thinks her seisures that day may have been brought on by a reaction to the medications she was taking before (they had her on 5 different ones).
She had the consultation with the doctor that does the botox injections and he thinks it would help her, but for right now her neurologist thinks she should wait and see if the new meds will control it. so far so good.
Personally I still think the botox would be good to do so she could get completely off all medications...

I haven't posted for a while, but something happened yesterday which I would like to share as an answer to some rather long-term prayer.

Some of you may remember I used to teach systematic theology in the Pentecostal Theological College in Budapest, and I was rather concerned that they had an Adventist teaching church history, they used Adventist materials for ethics, and had Adventist external examiners, and this did not seem to raise any questions. Apart from confusing some of the students... I was able to influence some individuals, but had no say in the college policy overall.

Anyway, due to various organisational changes, I have not been involved for a couple of years, but I have recently been invited to sit on a committee to provide external input and "monitoring" of the subjects taught in the theology department. The first meeting was yesterday.

One of the subjects presented was apologetics, taught by a new member of staff I do not know very well. The course only provides a brief overview, but he has one section entitled, "Religious movements derived from Christianity" which deals with Adventism as well as the Mormons and JWs. He made the comment, "My conviction has always been that Adventism is not Christian".

There are now no Adventists teaching at the college and the comment was made that a student who had an Adventist as "consultant" for his dissertation got a lower grade than he deserved due to various misunderstandings.

The point is, Adventist input seems to have been discontinued and Adventism is now classified as a Pseudo-Christian movement. Thinking about it, this represents a major change in attitude, and a very positive step forward. Students graduating from the college will now have a correct view of SDAs!

So, thank you all who prayed about these things. It may have been long ago, but God has been working!

Adrian,

Praise God...remember God's timing is always perfect. Just moments ago, I learned the meaning of the word 'epiphany'. Then, I opened the forum and clicked on your post because it is the only new one so far this morning. And, was amazed that you had an epiphany after much prayer and waiting upon the Lord...the manifestation of God working in the affairs of mankind.

God is awesome,

Fearless Phil

My brother, Doug, who has started Chemo for the 3rd time is seeing some improvement. His red and white blood counts are higher, as are the platelets. As a result, he is now able to use a regular toothbrush. Previously, he had to use one with a little sponge on it, because if his gums started to bleed they wouldn't stop on their own. He hated it! Didn't give a real good "clean" feeling.

There's a person at work who's been going through some severe personal problems. Suffice it to say that it was seriously threatening her job (she was down to her "last chance" at work) and the problems had taken away her home. I had no idea what was going on, until a few days back when I asked her what was wrong. She told me and I told her that I would pray for her. Yesterday, I told her that I was still praying for her. She stopped and said something like: "your prayers are working!" She went on to say that she now has a place to live and glowingly went on about how well things are going for her!

I don't think she's a Christian, so please pray that things continue to go well, but mainly pray for her salvation, okay? Thanks! :-)

"Shall he that made the eare,
Not heare?"

That is wonderful news! Praise God!

Praying the Spirit may continue to entreat your friend's heart as you minister to her.

A few days ago, the man who committed elder abuse fraud against my 88 y.o. parents agreed to settle out of court. The $ will pay maybe 3/4ths of the legal fees my Dad incurred. My parents will not lose their home! We didn't have to go get bashed in court! God is so good! It was very stressful, but many people prayed and I'm learning, slowly but surely that God really is in control and hears us in our distress.

I thank every one of you that prayed for this situation!!!!!!

I am learning that I can trust God. (Even if the outcome is different than what I want!)

That's wonderful!!! :-) Praise the Lord! :-) (Actually, I think the person who did that should pay all the legal fees incured by his actions!)

Praise God, I got into Texas Tech's PA School!

Sure, it's a long ways away from the Houston area, but I don't care. Tensions are rising at home and I think getting away would be good. I still have an interview at UTMB, but at least I got in somewhere. I'm even thinking about just going to Texas Tech so I can leave sooner (I could live at home and go to UTMB).

It appears that God made the choice for me. I was rejected from the PA school right down the road from me, so now I have to go out of town. I'm thinking it's for the best that things panned out this way.

Again, thanks for your prayers, guys.

Wow, I have to admit I asked for prayer for both my sons, but haven't looked in the "answer to prayer" section for a good long time...I feel neglectful about that...but I have to thank anyone who prayed for my youngest, unbelieving son...(he & his wife have been looking for a little house up in Oregon, but have lost out on every one they've bid on & I asked if we could pray for him, as a witness to the love & reality of God...)

Anyway, I got the news recently that they found a 60's home that had been well taken care of, put a bid in & had the inspection & they are in escrow right now! It's a good size (they've been in a tiny apt. for several years) & is reasonably priced.

Thank you for your faithfulness in praying for someone you don't even know. I know God can bring him to Himself & I will never give up praying for their salvation.

Thank you! And thank You, God!
