Sabra,

You are hilarious! It's nice to read funny postings because it breaks up a time that is so serious and concerning.

Semi-pentecostal" too cute!

Take care!

No joke, Tracey. They speak in tongues at her church and raise hands and even had a quadrapalegic (sp?) that was paralyzed for 20+ years healed and he is walking now. She said the preacher preached on jewelry and pork and said they have nothing to do with salvation. I hear they are in big trouble!

Lately though, she hasn't been going. ?? Wont tell me why but asked if there were any Sunday churches that didn't believe in the rapture. Said she could go on Sunday but not to a rapture teaching church, HA! Boy, we get some hangups, don't we? Told her most churches don't care what you believe, they just love to see you come.

Guess this is the prayer requests, so I'll hush! Still have all of the problems I've been having so don't stop praying for me and my husband situation! My daughter also, Ashlyn is doing horribly in school. Forged my name on some papers so I wouldn't find out. Just not turning in homework or being responsible at all. Oh, grounded for life or until I kill her!

For every mountain, for every trial, for this, I give You praise!!

Our church is participating in the 40 Days of Purpose campaign. We began with a "Kick-off" on Saturday.
We are a host home for a small group and will meet for six weeks begining tomorrow 9/21. We have invited neighbors to join us.We are new in the community.
We are reading/studying the book "Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren. Every week at our home we will watch a video, have discussion, prayer and fellowship.
Please pray for us:
1. God will show Himself in a powerful way.

2. Everyone needing to know Christ personally will open his heart to Christ as the gospel is presented.

3. God will give us godly confidence to lead out.

4. We will allow the Holy Spirit to guide and teach us through and through.

5. Our neighborhood will be a spiritually healthy community.

Thank you

Hi Bmorgan, good to see your name again!

I'll remember your new study group in my prayers. That's a good way to get to know people if you're new in the community... I've never had that much energy after moving, it seems.

What type of church group do you belong to now? (I notice you said they had the "kick-off" on Saturday...)

grace always,
cindy

Bmorgan, I have put your name in my prayer list that I keep next to my computer.
Sabra, I continue to pray for you and yours. Having a teenager is "fun", at times.
Just remember, God is in charge and is so very awesome.

Bmorgan, I too am involved with a church doing 40 Days together and our kickoff is this coming Saturday morning, actually all day Saturday. Is it possible we are a part of the same church community -- MPPC (Menlo Park Presbyterian Church)? I will certainly pray for the success of this study for you and for us, and if it is the same group, I hope to meet you soon.

Our kickoff is this evening with the simulcast scheduled for 10,000 plus churches. We had a great prayer meeting last Wednesday and over 82 home Bible study groups set up. It's very exciting to see so many people plugged into Bible studies.

I just found out today that a dear friend, who has been like a true sister to me, has pancreatic cancer with mets to the liver. She is only 45. My heart is aching. Please pray for God's leading in finding the right specialist for her, that she will sense a peace that surpasses all understanding during this process and that God will give me His words of comfort and wisdom in the love and friendship I share with her.

Thank you all.

Hey Guys,

Thank you so much for remembering to pray for our home group. I have been so busy and excited that I am only now checking in to report.

Cindy, our family attend Hill Country Bible Church in Austin/Cedar Park, Texas. It is a non-denominational conngregation with close to 4000 members. We have about 417 host home-groups with meeting during the week for the next six days.

About eleven people gave definite word they will attend. Only four ladies were able to attend the first meeting. It is awesome to God is Sovereign. He brings exactly the people He wants to be together.

After viewing the teaching video, an amazing thing happened. One lady,(non-church going) literally shouted,
"There is a reason I came here tonight. Somehow this all makes sense, and I want it."

What an opportunity we had to help her affirm her decision and become a Christ follower. We spent the rest of the time encouraging her and sharing scripture with her. WOW!

Guys, again, thank you for praying and please continue to pray for her and our group.

Dd, I am sorry about your friend and the sorrow you feel right now. God is Sovereign and Merciful.
I will be praying for her.

Bmorgan and Melissa, Belvalew, I am remembering all of you also.
I have started another study at church about bringing our dreams to God. Pray for me also.

My brother's wife is 5 weeks pregnant...She has had many miscarriages in the past and they really want a child. They are not telling anyone else in the family because they want to wait until they're more confident she'll carry to term, but I would asked for prayers for them. Also, she is now over 40, which makes her high risk even if she does carry. It is very emotional to be pregnant and yet fear what each day might bring.

Dear Melissa,

I have a beautiful three year old niece who was born to a mother who was 42. She was also the result of IVF after years of disappointment, miscarriages, and the fear that they would have to remain childless. You can depend on me to pray for the success of your brother's wife's pregnancy. It may be difficult, but I still believe that God, who loves children, will do what is necessary to bless. Give them my best and assure them that there are prayer warriors in their camp regarding this precious baby.

Praying Melissa.

Please remember our church in prayer this Sunday, Kelly Green is coming to preach and give his testimony and they say when he preaches the altar call is amazing. Our music pastor said the last time he heard him preach the altar call was 8 1/2 hours long! I have invited several lost people and still at least 4 say they will come. I'm also praying it will touch my husband as their backgrounds sound similar.

He has a site www.kellygreen.org if anyone is interested.

Dd,

I'll pray for your friend. I also have a recommendation. There is an all-natural nutritional supplement that can help cancer patients, as a complementary therapy. It's called RM-10, and it's made by Garden of Life. You can find out more info here. And no, I am not affiliated with them in any way. :-)

Jeremy
