I have been asking about the disk issue. Unfortunately, when you say numbness in the arm, the only focus seems to be cardiac. The pcp I went to on Monday has ordered a copy of all tests they have done and said if they had not checked my spine, he would order it. At this point, it feels like my muscles have just lost their programming. They are very stiff and every move is awkward. I am getting around okay and have only fallen a couple of times. I am getting a walker today, not an exciting thing at 41. Mostly, I'm sore and stiff, not really so numb. I think it has to be something disk related, but it's hard to get them out of their normal thought process. The doc on Monday was much more open since he knew the mri showed no stroke. By evening, my muscles are just screaming as I'm trying to keep them doing what they would normally do.

I have rehab eval set up for Monday. another doc appointment tomorrow and sometime back with the neurologist. I'm in the KC area, Diana. I'm just hoping I don't have to do major surgery. But I'll do what it takes to get my life back.

I am a little concerned B might use this opportunity to take Jonathan, but he has been pretty good to me, so I can't complain really. But it does feel I've had to take a huge step backward in that respect.

Sometimes I just wonder why.... but when you know God is whispering to others about you, there is a little peace it will be alright.

Kansas...close to the same thing. I'm doing better today. Since I've been forcing myself to type, my fingers are getting stronger, but I still can't take the tray off the high chair. My legs are stronger as well, and I can go up and down several stairs without assistance. My legs feel like I've run a marathon...but forgot to train. Very sore. I have another doc appointment this afternoon and hope to get all the test results. But at least I'm improving. I even drove myself to work today and can get around pretty good with this walker I borrowed.

Melissa, Praise God! I continue to pray for you. I surely hope you get someone to seriously examine your spine/disks--what you describe certainly sounds nerological to my completely layperson's mind!

went to the doc yesterday, every single test they've done has come back normal or negative...depending upon the test. Sooooo, they're kindof guessing a virus. I guess that's good, no major surgery needed, but kindof weird at the same time. I was able to carry Jonathan for a brief distance yesterday, which was very exciting. I took him to day care this morning, too. So, I'm thinking I'm on my way back. Seems it might take a month or so to rehab, but that's better than what it was looking like at first. Thanks for all your prayers.

Melissa,

That is just so strange that they don't know for sure. So glad you're better though!

I'm still praying too.

Urgent prayer request please!!!!

My best friend in all the world, she and her husband both age 43, have been married two years, would love to have children, but so far nothing. She and her husband are not wealthy, live in a small town in Kentucky, and are very sincere, committed on-fire Christians.

My co-worker's daughter's best friend just announced she's pregnant and due in two weeks! She's 17 and has actually hidden it from her family & friends. She's obviously not had medical care, has smoked through the pregnancy, and there are other issues.

Within just the past few hours all of this has transpired, and my best friend in KY is planning to call the mother of the 17 year old today. (Oh, BTW, the 17 year just had a baby a little over a year ago which she also gave up for adoption.)

Please pray.....we're all nervous wrecks right now. It's all happening so fast, but if it's God-ordained, I know it will happen. If it's not, then it won't! It's just that simple. But please pray for His will, and for peace for my best friend & her husband. It's happening so fast, and they're trying hard not to get their hopes up.....and so on. There are many obstacles. But this IS a couple that will love this child no matter what (medical condition, etc.) and the child would be raised in a loving, nurturing strong Christian home.

Thank you all so much. My friend & her husband are "May and David."

Love you all, Carol2

My goodness! What a day! Just learned on the news that four of the top guys with the Georgia-Cumberland Conference of SDAs were killed today in a plane wreck.

They are Dave Cress, Jim Frost, Clay Farwell, and I cannot remember the fourth because I wasn't familiar with his name.

It's a shock and devastating, as I worked for the largest SDA church in the Atlanta area, 2nd largest in Georgia-Cumberland conference for a lot of years, and knew two of these guys very well.

Please keep their families in your prayers. Carol2

Wow, Carol--what a shock! I'm praying that the families will experience God's peace and come to know Him fully.

Jamie Arnell (sp?) I think is the name of the fourth victim, apparently a young man. Just in case any of you formers know him.

Carol, praying for May and David.

I heard on the news today that a plane went down in Collegedale, didn't know who it was. I knew Dave Cress from FL. How awful, just before Christmas.

Praying for the families.

I am requesting prayers for my son. His ex-girlfriend is taking him to court to stop his visitation of my granddaughter terminated. My son in not perfect in any way, shape or form but he loves his little girl and I miss her so much. I feel that she needs both parents in her life and she also needs us (my husband and me). They are going to court Th morning. I just want God to do what is best for the baby. Thanks all for praying for us.

Jeanette, You and your son are in my prayers and in my prayer book.
I have a request also. My son will be transferred from Abilene to Little Rock, Arkansas the end of February. He and his wife need a church to attend. He is in Little Rock at this time. One with a program for their 18 month old son is what they are looking for as well as for themselves. They so want a good Bible believing, grace filled church. Please pray for them. My son has not had his name taken off the SDA church books, yet, but I know one day he will. He just does not like lots of what they preach and does not believe the SDA beliefs. He does not like EGW and does not believe in her. Thank God for that.
Does any on the FAF live in the Little Rock, Arkansas area????
Thanks for your prayers.
Diana
