Update on my earlier prayer request for a dear SDA friend who has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She is scheduled for surgery on Tuesday morning. A friend told me that the extensive tests found that the cancer has spread to her liver and other organs. From a human medical point of view, the situation looks bleak. But we serve the Great Healer.

Please keep my friend in your prayers, that she will know the peace of Christ, whatever is to be.

Bob, I have written this request in my prayer book so I can pray for her every day.

Bob,
I have been wondering about your friend. I have a friend, also, who is battling cancer (pancreatic). The more chemo she endures the more bleak the tumor size becomes. It is difficult to know what to say to my dear friend. I don't know if you experience this in your situation. I have been praying for God to enable me with the right words at the right time for where He knows my friend's needs to be. I will add that same prayer for you when I am praying for your friend. I would also like for my FAF friends to remember my friend along with Bob's friend in your prayers.

Diana,

Praying for your brother's step-son, for complete healing and no long term effects.

Bob, praying for healing for your friend.

Please pray for salvation for my step-daughter. She is 20 and has just started working with me at the Dentist office and she is doing very well, starts assisting school on the 22nd, but she is not saved.

I have invited her to opening night of "The Book" at our church. She said she would come, it is this Friday night. We will be presenting the Passion. I wish all of you could see it. My daughters are in the play and so excited about it. Satan has already been messing with the cast and crew. Agree with me for protection and good health for all the people involved.

This is a wonderful witnessing drama. This is our last chapter of The Book forever as we will be starting something fresh in the New Building.

Thank you,
Sabra

Sabra,
I have put the people/play you requested in my prayer list.
God is in charge no matter what happens in our lives and all things will turn out for His honor and glory.
God is awesome.

I'm praying now for Maverick, for your friends, Bob and Dd, and for your step-daughter and the cast/crew of the Passion play, Sabra--and I'm still praying for your husband.

God is faithful.

My real estate agent emailed this afternoon that another agent had called to say they were preparing a contract on my old house which has been for sale since November. I would really like to get that puppy sold and have prayed for the right people to love my old house as much as I did in an earlier day...and be good neighbors to the wonderful neighbors I had there. It's a strange sad feeling because I did love that house so much until it was just clear God had other plans for us. Until all the ink is dry, I'm not spending the money, but I'm ready to be done with multiple mortgages.... :-)

Praying for you Melissa. It is weird how we get attached to things like that. When I moved back to Chattanooga I was so happy to move but sad about my house!

I kept telling myself, whoever leaves houses and mothers and fathers for His name sake etc will get 100 fold return!

My prayers are always in my heart for each of your needs and concerns. Once again I am requesating your prayers. I guess this time mostly for my patience and emotional well-being. Around the corner of my driveway is the phone companies main breaker box. Our local phone company is SBC. On the side of the SBC truck in big huge blue letters it says SBC. My 19 year old paranoid schitzpherenic son insists SBC stands for 'Spy Battalian Crew' and he now has every window in my house covered with dark blankets. We tell him all the time, numerous times per day that he's crazy and no one is watching us. But, he just wants to make sure that no one can watch us. Well, that eliminates the sunshine coming into the house. Aaaaagh!

I'd like to ask prayer for my brother-in-law & his wife. I did not remember the details of Cy's situation until I just re-read some posts. My sister-in-law, Kelley, is pregnant with their 3rd child. Her older children are 10 and 12, and they've wanted another child for a long time now. Her situation seems to sound extremely similar to that of Cy and his wife.

Kelley went in for a routine sonogram about a week ago, with her kids, husband, and mother, and same thing, an "uh-oh" by the sonographer and off she went for the doctor. Apparently there are about three major things wrong with the baby. I don't know all the details, but Turners Syndrome has been mentioned, hydrops, and massive amounts of fluid in the lungs and head (from what I'm learning about hydrops, this might be the same thing??) Forgive my ignorance, but the doctors give this baby no chance of living. Kelley is 22 weeks along right now and they are of course heartbroken.

The baby is still alive as of today, but they are checking her frequently, and all expectations are that the baby will die at any time.

Please remember them in prayer.

And Cy, thanks for sharing your story.

Susan, I am praying for you. My daughter also "sees" things, but it's more like monsters following her and wanting to kill her. It know it is hard to live day in and day out with someone with a brain disorder, but God will give you the grace to handle it. It's a spiritual battle, as well, and God is mighty in battle!

I think you mentioned your son is taking Zyprexa. My kids use that PRN. Have you heard about Abilify? You might want to research it.

Carol, my heart just breaks for the expectant parents as well as their older children. It is such a sad thing to have to go through. Melinda, my son takes Zyprexa, Clonidine, Serequal and Welbrutin. The combination seems to do real good. What is Abilify?

Susan,
My prayers are certainly with you and your family. Mental illness can be just as hard to deal with as a physical ailment if for no other reason than because it's something the person AND the family have to live with EVERY day. I was intimately acquainted with it during most of my childhood.

I can identify a little with your story. When I was in Academy and College, my Dad used to call me up, frequently, in the middle of either alcohol or crystal meth induced hallucinations claiming things like the feds were hiding in the trees outside the house because Larry Flynt had a contract out on him and he paid them off to whack him, or knives were flying out of the walls at him, etc. I know it doesn't compare with the daily occurances you must be dealing with but I can definitely empathize with you.

Carol_2 and Melinda, I have written your prayer requests in my book and will remember them every day. As always Susan, I remember you and your boys every day also.
I have a request. My niece in law, my youngest nephew's wife, was raised Mormon. My nephew was not raised SDA, thank God. Anyway, my niece reads her Bible every night. She told me a year ago she had never read the Bible and she wanted to know what it said. They are not raising their children Mormon, another Thank You God, and they do not go to the Mormon church. So please pray for my niece as she reads the Bible that she will learn the Truth. I have told her I am no longer SDA and have told her if she has any questions she can ask me. So far she has not. So, Thank you for your prayers.

Susan, Abilify is an antipsychotic drug used for the treatment of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Two of my kids take it for bipolar and my oldest is taking it for Tourettes because it hides the tics.

I'm praying for you!
