Melissa, thank you for sharing your prayer request. I understand what you're feeling, even though my life's details are different from yours. I have struggled with great senses of loss, and I have figuratively had to throw my hands up and and ask Jesus to be all I need, to be my strength, to keep me faithful and trusting.

I will pray that you will experience the joy of surrendering the dreams and of knowing the hope of having Jesus unfold the future He has already planned for you to live. His gift is life that is MORE, not less, abundant.

With love,
Colleen

Melissa, I know about feeling blue, and then judging myself - "I shouldn't feel that way"! I don't think it's always the BIG things that get us down. The seemingly "small" stuff can ambush us easily! Nothing is too small to take to the Lord - not because it's wrong to grieve, but because He can help us refocus! I know the loss of letting go of one "life" and moving on to the next. Even when what I am going TO is good, I grieve what I am Leaving. It's OK, and normal!

I'll be praying for God to be with you and give you strength as you navigate all the stress and joy of your children's needs, as well as your own. I know He will hold you in His arms awhile, and then encourage you and walk with you as you move out in faith.

I just returned from College Place and my Uncle's Funeral. I had a good time visiting with all my relatives. I was able to share my Joy in the Lord and let them know I have left the SDA Church. Mostly, that was about all the conversation I could have at this time. But I was able to stay positive about our leaving and show that I still had a close (even closer) relationship this Jesus. And I could encourage them in the assurance of Salvation. My aunt even mentioned to others that we had found a good Church, a PRAYING Church, which impressed her greatly. It's a start anyway!

My Aunt was scheduled for surgery today for cancer, but it has been postponed for further tests. Now she wonders if that is God's way of telling her to not have this surgery. I told her we would pray for her to KNOW what she needs to do, and for her health as well.

Our Church Prayer Chain is already going out, and I ask for prayer from this group as well. She is so blinded by SDAism, that I know she has great doubts in her "worthiness" for healing. I hope this experience and my sharing of my new understanding of Salvation will lead her to a correct understanding and faith regarding Christ and our Salvation.

I am praying for her Christian walk as well as for physical healing. Her eternal life is the most important. I believe she is a Christian, but I want her to know that full joy now!

Thanks - tisha

Melissa,
Thanks for having the courage to share with us the feelings you have. I pray that the Lord will be with you in a special way during this difficult time, and that He will open the spiritual eyes of B as well.

Please pray for our little, black, Pomeranian named Bear. He has been sick for a couple weeks now from eating a pork rib. The doctor has been having a hard time figuring out what is wrong. Bear is getting a bunch of tests done today, so please pray that they can figure out what is going on so Bear can get better. Thanks.

That's too bad, Melinda. :-( I'm praying. I'll also add a prayer request for our sick kitten (about 11 weeks old), named Tiny. He hasn't been eating much since a couple days after his vaccinations, especially the last two days or so, and has gotten quite sick and can't handle food. So we're wondering if maybe it's a reaction to his vaccinations--we're taking him to the vet this morning. He was a feral (wild) kitten that we caught and tamed at about 8 weeks old.

Jeremy, was your Tiny vaccinated for feline leukemia? I've heard it said that cats must be tested for that condition prior to vaccination because if they have it already (his being ferrel is what raised a red flag for me) the vaccination will only make them sicker. I pray that is not the case for your tiny baby, and that he will soon be the bouncy little kitten he was born to be.

Belva, he was tested for it and they said he didn't have it, but maybe that one test result could have been wrong, I don't know. They said they think it would have affected him real bad right away though if it was the vaccination causing it.

Melinda,
Animals are like family members, so I will pray for your little one.

Jeremy,

We had a dog who was allergic to the chicken in the vaccination. But her reaction showed up in a couple hours so maybe that isn't your kitten's problem.

The vet said our dog has severe ulcers in the throat, stomach, and intenstines. We are waiting for the results of the biopsy. Thanks for everyone's prayers.

For Tiny and Bear, I add my prayers.
I agree with Diana, animals are like family members, and are such a great reminder of what a wonderful Creator we serve.

Tiny seems to be getting better. He's eating more and keeping the food down. Thanks for the prayers guys, I really appreciate it. Still praying for Bear, Melinda.

I second that statement of Diana's about our pets. We live in a small apartment with three cats (we have a commercial grade litter box) and they make all of our lives better. I've had pets that made better friends than some of the people who were in my life at the same time.

Glad to hear Tiny is improving. Do we have an update on Bear. Will continue to pray.

Hi all,

Lisa Boyl-Davis asked me to send this note about her sister who has been in an automobile accident. Please remember her in your prayers.

Greg

---
Dear Friends and Family,
June 22, 05

Our family has suffered a serious crisis Sunday evening. Beci, Lisa's
sister, had an auto accident with Spencer, her teenage son. Spencer is
fairing well. on the mend and out of ICU. no broken bones, bruising only,
thank God. Becky punctured one lung (which collapsed) and the other lung
was partially collapsed as she broke ribs on both sides. She also broke her
neck (C4). The bad news is that she has no ability to move the left side -
arm or leg at this time. The good news is that she has feeling on both
sides, she can move the right side well, she can move BOTH shoulders. She
has NO BRAIN DAMAGE AT ALL. And because it looks as if the broken bone in
the neck did not penetrate the spinal cord, but smashed and bruised it,
THERE IS A CHANCE SHE WILL HAVE FULL RECOVERY. The game now is tons of
prayers, time, and work. She was taken off the breathing apparatus and
removed a mountain of tubes this morning which allowed her to actually talk
a bit today. They actually sat her up part way and she even got to eat
something. The surgery on her neck looks to have been done carefully and by
a very competent neurosurgeon. Of course there are many mountains to climb
before we out of the hole on this one as Beci and Barry have 3 children and
Barry works full time as a pastor of three churches. Please, if you are a
praying person, lift Beci and her family up to God as often as you think of
her. If your church has a prayer chain, please put her on it. God is good.
He has a plan for Beci and Spencer. There is really no reason they survived
this crash as their was virtually nothing left of the vehicle.

We Send you a request for Prayers and Thoughts,

Lisa Boyl-Davis

Greg,

Thanks for passing that along. I will add Beci and Lisa to my prayer list as well. It sounds like a very close call with that C-4 injury.

Greg, I have put Beci on my prayer list and will pray for her every day. God was taking care of her and will continue to care for her.
Susan, You and your son and the court are on my prayer list also.
God is still in charge, no matter what is happening in our lives. Everything will be to his name and glory. He is so awesome.

Bear is doing better. He has a feeding tube in his stomach to bypass the esaphogus so that it will heal. It seems to be dong the trick. The blood work came back and they ruled out any cancer or other diseases. It seems to be all from damage from the bone. Now we just have to figure out how to pay for it.

Thanks for the prayers.

One more prayer request. I am leaving early tomorrow to travel to Florida. I am taking my 5 kids and my husband will meet me on friday. I am a little nervous without my husband to help with all the kids. My chemically imbalanced 9y/o had a big meltdown yesterday and threatened to kill me with a knife while I was sleeping. Please pray I can handle everything while I'm on the trip. I'm sorry to talk about my kids all the time.

Thanks
Melinda
