Tisha, that is an inspiring report! I am confident that when we get to Heaven, we will learn of countless times when delays and disappointments that we complained about here were caused by our Lord for the protection of ourselves and others. "In EVERYTHING give thanks."

Just wanted to share with you all how awesome and faithful our God is.
As a teacher I don't get paid for the summer. In years past the money set aside for the summer has been just enough so I haven't had the need to teach summer school, and besides they never have enough students to offer chemistry, you have to have at least 25 students. The last day of school I sense the need to let the summer school adm. know that if they had a need for a teacher I would be willing to teach. They were very happy and I am teaching 6 students. God knew I needed the job but he also knew I needed the time to recoup for next school year.
The second answer to prayers is that my sons case went to trial and he was found not guilty of hitting his exgirlfriend and they were able to see that she was the batterer, as a consecuence of he winning the case she has not let us see the baby for six weeks.
The third answer to prayer is that the baby's mom's heart is softening and she wrote to let us know that we can make arrangements to see my precious little grandaughter every other weekend.
I am so awed at how wonderful our God is

Praise the Lord that he is faithful. I'm so happy for you that your son has won his case AND that you can see your precious granddaughter. That's a double blessing. Prayers will continue for you and your son that you will continue to be able to provide a family for your granddaughter as she grows up.

Jeanette,
Praise God for supplying your needs for money and for the opportunity to see your grandchild and that your son was found not guilty. You and your family are in my prayers. Isn't God awesome?

Jeanette, What a blessing God has poured out on you! I'm so thankful that you will be able to see your little Granddaughter regularly. As a Grandma, I know just how hard it would be to be separated from my Granddaughter! I will continue to pray for your family.

I am thankful that my old house is finally sold and the deal closed. It was very stressful to have all that debt hanging over me. It was a very complex, and "unfun" process, but it's done.

Thanks for those who prayed.

Colleen made it through her surgery in fine form today, though Dr. Yu said that she gave away all the family secrets while under sedation!

She has almost no pain, and will most likely be back online sometime Wednesday.

Thank you to those who prayed for her today.

Richard,

Praise God that it turned out well and let her know that she is still in our prayers.

Yes, thank you for the update Richard. I'm so glad that she came thru it well! Hopefully whatever they worked on is no FIXED and won't need to be gone in for ever again.

Praise God that Colleen is in good shape now, with relatively no pain. My prayer is that it remains that way. Don't be afraid to take whatever the doctor has given for pain, because people heal better/faster when their pain is under control. Colleen, we love you, and are looking forward to seeing your smiling face pop up on the left again real soon.

Thank you!

I had a menisectomy--the medial meniscus in the right knee was torn, and there was severe chondralmacia on the weight-bearing aspect of the femur, for you PTs and other medical folks!

Today there's lots of swelling, so walking is hard because of that, but I have this great pump device that pumps ice water around the knee--so I'm going to go now and put my leg up and turn on the pump!

Thanks for your prayers.

Colleen,
I am so thankful God got you through this. I think it is so awesome that He is concerned about every aspect of our lives.
Get well fast and to what the doc says.

Better than I might have expected. Extension is good; bending is hard because of the swelling in and above the knee (I'm not sure why it's so swollen there!)

Very little actual pain today--I can walk without a limp if I don't go too fast!

I'm quite sure the doc will order PT next week when I see him.

The edema in your quads is normal post knee sx. You will likely experience some quadricep weakness secondary to the edema. That's normal too. Keeping up with your home exercise program will make a big difference though.
