Melinda,
You, your children and your trip are on my prayer list.
God, be with Melinda as she travels. Be close to the 9 y/o and let your peace fill this child. You know best how to do all this, so I will not try to instruct you. Thank you for caring for them.
You are awesome.

Melinda, you do not talk about your kids too much! They are the "work" God has given you to do right now.

Father, please be with Melinda as she travels. Please send your Spirit to give her wisdom, calmness, and discernment, and please calm the 9y/o. Please be stronger and more real to him than the imbalance, and please keep all the kids coopoerative. Thank you that you are already in the future, and that this trip is in Your hands!

Thank you for teaching us to love You!

Can you talk about your kids too much?? I didn't know it if you could! :-)

Melinda:
I pray for you and for all your children.
Father, I pray that Melinda's 9 year old will be touched by You in the way that glorifies You the most. I pray for Melinda's and the children's physical safety. Give Melinda an extra measure of your Power and Strength. Help the children to not push their boundaries. Help the trip to go fast! Thank You Jesus, for Melinda and her husband who have taken these precious children into their home and made them their own. In Your Name: Amen.

Melinda, I will pray for you and your kids. As others have said, you can't talk about them too much. We all love our kids, and we all hurt when our kids hurt. I know the fear (to a greater or lesser degree) of your 9 year old. My daughter can be so violent, fortunately, being retarded keeps her actions more limited to throwing objects, but I understand the type of heartache you deal with, even if it's different in shape and form. Please let us have the privilege to pray for you.

Please pray that I will VERY SOON find the RIGHT person to hire in an adminsitrative assistant position. I am overwhelmed with work, and need more time to be a mother and wife, and to pursue spiritual matters. THe last several candidates have fallen through. I have an offer out to someone now and am waiting for a response. I have been looking for months! I am a self-employed business owner, my business is growing dramatically, and I only want to work part-time. Surely someone out there needs the money and position! I know I need help. THank you

I have a prayer request.

I am in a state of turmoil and distress about my aging mother. She needs care 24/7. My Daughter and Son-in-law and their baby live with her and take care of her evenings, all night, and some weekends. We pay a caregiver during the day and we all take turns taking care of her on the weekend. I sleep there sometimes so they can get away.

We all love Mom (Grandma, Great-grandma) very much and even though it is stressful we want to do it.

Apparently, a neighbor took her and her caregiver out to lunch and during the conversation my Mom said that we don't take very good care of her! She has demantia and accuses us of stealing from her, hiding things, etc. We try to understand that she doesn't aways know what she is saying.

This neighbor called Adult Protective Services on us, telling them that we are mistreating her! My daughter is so angry and hurt, and I am furious! My daughter says she wants to just move out and let Mom figure out how to take care of herself - which isn't possible even though we all wish it was.

So, now I am trying to find an Adult Family Home or some other place that will take her. I have to sell her house, deal with all her belongings, all the while working full-time as well. I have used up all my sick leave and vacation time just caring for her up to now.

Also, my health has not been good, and I am going to be having a battery of tests in the next couple of months to try to find out just what is wrong with me. I have Fibromyalgia, CFS, and Diabetes. I'm in a lot of pain and I tire easily. The stress makes it hard to control my Diabetes. Now it seems like I have even more going on and I'm scared that I won't be able to take care of myself let alone my mom.

I am ready to collapse. I have a lot of decisions to make. I am in such a muddle right now that I cannot even decide where to start!
And I'm scared - that I won't be able to handle it, that my Mom will die due to the stress of the change, that my Daughter and her family will have to move far away where I won't be near my Grandbaby. I really do want to bury my head in the sand and pretend this isn't happening!

Please pray for me, and for all my family as we deal with all of this. I know God can give me strength.

I understand the stress being a caregiver. It can be a daunting task. I commend and empathize with your daughter and you.

God's blessing on you all. I am praying for you.

Praying for you Tisha. It is not an easy situation you and the family are in. Mom's are so precious and it is difficult to see them with dementia.
I HAVE HAD CFS and no longer have it. Ask Colleen for my e-mail address and I can tell you what happened to me. God took care of me there also.

Tisha:
I am also familiar with long-term care and understand many of the complexities associated with it. I am so very sorry for your sadness. Dementia, in any form, can be devastating. My youngest brother has a brain injury and since his car accident, has hit us a few times and yelled curses at us. It's so difficult even though you know that 'they' wouldn't EVER do that. Even though his problem is not dementia, the results are much the same.
I am praying for you!

My request seems so trivial compared to the depth of others on here. I am reluctant to write, but the Lord is leading.

Please pray for us as we are putting our house on the market on Friday. As I'm sure you know, this is a stressful time. I also need prayers to focus on my children and not put them off when they need attention...the same for my husband!

Dear Patria, your request is not trivial, and I will gladly include you in my prayers.

Tisha, I remember my mother in the throes of dimentia, and it was exhausting. She would start searching for something she had when she was a girl, but it had long since disappeared from her life. That didn't stop her from completely tearing up a room while searching. She had to be calmed down, and then all of the room had to be set right again. Then it would happen all over again.

My prayers for both of you. Dear God, we ask that you bless these precious women. Give them strength, first to look to their own needs that have probably been ignored for a while, then the strength and energy to be the strong mothers/daughters/wives that you would have them be. We know that there is nothing too little to bring to you, that your love was manifest in the little things, such as making certain there was enough wine to keep a party going, and bringing the disenfranchised, such as the tax collectors, close to the kingdom of God. Warm these lovely ladies' hearts with the knowledge that they are greatly loved and cared for by you.

Thank you for being the awesome God that you are, who is manifest in the details of our lives. Amen.

Dear Father, please be with Tisha. Please give her Your strength and healing and wisdom and discernment. Please keep her heart at peace, and help her to feel Your presence. Help her to be able to surrender her mom and her circumstance to You and to walk throught the doors You will open for her.

Please also keep Patria and her family in the center of Your will and your calm. Help her to love her children for You even in all of this stress, and help them to be able to be helpful and calm also. Please provide the right buyer, and thank You that You are in charge of this sale.

Thank you that You are sovereign over us all. Please keep us surrendered to You and honoring You.

In Jesus' name,
Amen

My mom has had various physical symptoms (possibly serious) which have gotten worse the last couple days or so. Please pray that she will be able to get a correct diagnosis and effective treatment, or for healing if it's God's will.

Thanks for your prayers.

Jeremy,
What a lucky mom she is to have you for a son! My prayers are with her, her physicians, those who love and support her and for you, too, as you give her encouragement and unconditional love.

Jeremy,
Your mother is on my prayer list and will be remembered in prayer. So will you, her physicians and nurses that what ever is happening to her will be found out and taken care of.
