Tisha,
I have put your Mom and you on my prayer list and will pray for both of you. Jesus will not let go of either of you. I agree with Colleen when she says to surrender your Mom to Him, so you can love her without that underlying panic that she will be manipulated away from Him....Nothing can thwart the Holy Spirit's work.
Praying for you also.

Tisha,
I am praying for your mom. I will second what Colleen and Diana said, and that God is sovereign over everything. An Angry sister, and not even the SDA church can change the marvelous sovereign work of God.

My minister is home from vacation and I had told all of you I had bought some books written by former SDAs to give to him and the church. I called and have an appointment to meet with him at 4:15 on September 13. I will be taking him "The Truth about SDA Truth", "Sabbath in Crisis", "Discovering the New Covenant", "Cultic Doctrine of SDAs" & "Seventh-day Adventists False Prophets". Please pray for me between now and Sept 13 that God will put the words He wants me to say in my mind and mouth. All I want to do is God's will.
Thanks for the prayers. After 9/13 I will let you know how it comes out.
I am so thankful for the awesome God we have.
Diana
ps: When I made the appointment today, the secretary told me that when the pastor counsels with a female, she is in the room also. I told her that was fine with me and that I was glad she would be there.

Excellent, Diana. I'll be praying for your talk with him (them). Actually, the more people who hear you talk about this, the better!

By the way, Susan2 from this forum sent me a letter and asked me to greet the forum for her. She and two (I believe) of her sons are in Hawaii, and she is asking for prayer for herself and her sons. She did not say whether her stay there would be long or short. They do need our continuing to intercede for them.

Another prayer request for a pet. My son has a cat named Fang. He is an alley cat raised on the streets of Richmond, VA. Fang is 11 human years old. My son called me today to tell me that the sore over Fang's right eye is cancerous. My son loves this cat and has him from a very young age. I had him for 5 years until I moved to NV and I sent him to my son who was in TX at the time.
I am a big believer in prayer and I also believe that God gives us things that can help when we are sick. So I told my son to put aloe vera ointment on the sore. It will not hurt it and maybe will help it get well. So please pray for my son and his cat, Fang. He is part of our family.
Thanks so much for your prayers.
Thank you God for caring about us and our animals.
You are truly awesome.

Diana, I thought I would share with you a miracle God did for my dog. When dutchess (our Rotweiller) was 2 years old she developed a very malignant type of cancer where the large and small bowel meet. The x-rays only showed that she had something in her belly so we opted for surgery. Two days after the surgery the pathology report came back from UF saying that she had the worst cancer posible and that no dog had survived and that she only had six months, tops, to live. I would not put her down, I brought her home and gave her aloe vera juice and Selenium pills and I prayed for my dog. At first she would take the aloe vera juice without any problems, after a few months she would not take it or the pills any more. Would you beleive that my precious Dutchess lived to be 11 years old? Maybe your son can try the aloe vera/ selenium combination. I hope fang gets better. I am putting him on my prayer list

When I talked to my son yesterday, all I heard was cancer, selective hearing I guess. Today I called him and he told me is was a skin cancer and his prognosis could be one week, one month, one year. For that I am thankful. My son said he would try the aloe vera.
Thanks for the prayers.

I know my problems are teensey-weensey compared to the big ones God has to deal with. I am still going to request prayer. Several years ago I met a man who was such a gentleman. He was very well behaved and seemed very decent. We got married. We went to the base and I got a military i.d. as he was a 20 year Army veteran. Several months ago the Department of Defense called me and told me my husband has numerous wives listed with the military and i am not entilted to my i.d., etc. I can deal with all the paperwork, etc. I think I can get a free annulment from the military legal services. I do want prayer for my peace of heart. I am having a hard time emotionally with this. I just keep emotionally pounding myself about letting myself get so taken advantage of. Please pray that the harshness or the immediate slap in the face will fade into a memory of times past. Fortunatelly my children have been wonderful to me through this by telling me that he had us all fooled and they love and care about me no matter what, etc. I went to the minister who married us and he thinks I should get the annullment going as soon as possible and get it over with. Thanks for your concern and your prayers.

Please, keep this in your prayers. I have been at the military base nearly all day trying to get some help ans assistance about my marrital proble,. No one here will give me an answer or even any help or assistance. All anyone here in any official capassity will tell me is that they are not allowed to give me any information. I get all frustrated and start crying and tell them, "You mean you can't even give me any information about me?" Finily one man looked up my social security # on his computer and told me the military has no record of me ever being a military dependent. I showed him my dependent i.d. card, a copy of mu husbands (?) i.d. card, a certified copy of my marriage license and a copy of my power of attorney from my maybe husband and he told me those are all worthless documents according to the military regulations. I have no idea who to turn to with this issue or even where to start. It seems to me if the military issued me an i.d. then they should have a record of it. I also think if I was issued the i.d. by the Department of Defense and I shouldn't have been then the Department of Defense should take care of the annulment for me. I got so frustrated with the man at the military legal services that I started shaking and crying. How dare he tell me that he is not allowed to give me any information! I am only asking for information concerning myself, that's all. I guess I'll get it off my chest tonight by writing a letter to Rumsfeld, isn't he the military top dog? Please, pray. I'm a basket case. Diana, I'll call you on the phone later so you can pray about this with me. Thanks.

Susan,
Call or write you state senator/representative with copies of your documents and solicit their help.
Call me anytime you want. I have a bunch of minutes that roll over every month so call me, give me a number to call you back, so you will not be using your money. That way I can use my roll over minutes, OK????
In the Meantime I am praying for you.
Father in Heaven, you are the I AM, the Alpha and Omega, you know the end from the beginning and you know how many hairs are on our heads. Please be with Susan right this minute. You know the situation she is in and you know all about her military ID card. Help her over this hurdle and care for her. You love her Lord and have brought her to you. You do not promise to shield us from problems, but you will help us through the problems. So hold Susan now in your awesome arms and hands and may she know your presence.
Thank you God. You are truly awesome.
Diana
ps: Could your husband have told the military not to honor your ID card? That is one possibility.

I will pray that you will find the right person to help you with this and that God will make truth to be known.

Susan, what a painful experience. I'm so sorry for the trauma inflicted upon your family and your heart in this situation. It is a witness to me that you seek God in this matter, rather than curse or blame Him.

"Con" men, or people, continue what they do because they are good at it! You obviously were not the first person taken in by this scam. Con people generally look, sound and act credible. Why else would people trust them. Just consider the many scams that educated and generally wise people fall for in areas of the heart, the pocketbook, and yes, of course, religion (sigh).
Please do not take on the shame that belongs to this man. It is HIS behavior that is shameful.

Father God, please fill Susan with your peace. Please wrap your arms of love around her, and hold her close. May she be aware of your presence and guidance in this situation. May her dependence on You grow stronger thru this situation as You truly are the only one who is completely Faithful. I praise you for your faithfulness to us, and that we can count on You when others fail us.
Thank you Lord Jesus.

A prayer request for myself and my colleagues at work. Every year the hospital business gets slow and there are less patients to treat. Well, this has happened where I work and my work week is reduced to 4 days/week. I do not know how long this will last, but I ask that prayers be said that I have enough money to pay my bills and that all my colleagues have the same. I know God lets things happen, so His name will be glorified and that is what I want to happen. That God be honored and glorified.
He is such an awesome God.

Thank-you all so mmuch or the prayers and the concern. i sure am looking forward to our gthering in LV in February. i for sure will be there. I am looking forward to meeting each of you that i possibly can. Diana, I hope your sons pet is doing better. Please, don't take shin cancer lightly. My dad died from skin cancer. It can be a horrendous ordeal to go through. It's lovely over here. however, I am getting homesick. I keep wantng to call you Diana and then I remember the time diffrence and it would be too late because it is three hours earlier here than over there. We have had a few setbacks but for the most part things are going great. We have not missed a weeklky church service since we got here. I want to get my sons in the routine of getting to church each week before I go home. It seems to be working. Thanks, once again for your prayers and your concern and advice. i always need alot of all of those. Aloha.

Is the gathering mentioned in the last Proclamation!? Redlands! Oh well, I'll come to Redlands but I was hoping for a more action packed location. Will you be able to get a group discount at lodging? Well all the details be in forthcoming Proclamations!?

Susan, you said, "I was hoping for a more action packed location" ??

Well there are the following:

Jazz n' Java at the old train station.
Collection of bird eggs at the San Bernardino County Museum
Mentone Beach (a rocky beach on a dry river)

We are full of fun places and things to do. :-)

Richard

PS: for those not used to me the comments were made with tongue firmly in cheek ! !
