HEllO FAF,

I have a new prayer request. My mother is being served eviction papers this week. THe realtor has called and threatened her ans though she says she believes God will come through, her body is reacting adversely. She is unable to eat and has begun to pack up her belongings. SHe is struggling hard to hold onto her faith, yet my youngest brother is a walking time bomb. I think it is mainly guilt, seeing that he has had money to help but has chosen to do otherwise with his money. He really needs prayer. Deeply. I am not requesting this for my mother as much as I am for my brother. He is acting very angry and cruelly. He is slamming doors and is reacting very negatively towards everyone. (Much like my dad did when he was afraid) I am believing that the Lord will not only show up and help them, but He will prove to my brother that He is God. Now, normally, I would be home and would have given my last dime to help. But, alas, the Lord has moved me away from my family and the little I can send them is not nearly enough to cover the daamges accrued. My body is responding like it has in the past when my father would smoke an entire check up and I was left to help my family. I have been shaking and crying off and on. I have seen the mighty hand of the Lord and I know what He can do!! Nothing is too hard for Him!!!

But, we need prayer. Please help me persistently pursue the Lord in this matter. I don't know what else to do but pray.

Oh Father in Heaven!

Bring Taybie's brother to surrender to you! Let your glory be seen in her whole family, and give them your peace. Carry them THRU their troubles. Help them to see that you are God Alone, and that you are FOR them, not against!

Bless them with the blessings of heaven that come thru Jesus!

In Jesus' name,

Mary

Taybie,
I will pray for your Mom and brother.
Father in Heaven, You are the Alpha and Omega, the I AM and know the end and the beginning. Please be with Taybie's Mom and Brother. Send the Holy Spirit to each one and teach them. You know what each of them need at this time and I know that what ever happens will be to your name's honor and Glory. Thank you God for hearing our prayers.
You are awesome.

Oh Taybie,

You, your brother and your mother are in my prayers. Sometimes when I am upset and scared and it seems that my prayers just aren't adequate to calm myself, I have to mentally picture Christ with his arms around me and my head on his chest. He smells like a fresh scent candle by the way. I pray that He will encircle you at this time and hold you so long as you need Him to.

I am watching Fox News and Hurricane Rita is about to touch down in Galvastan. Let's keep the folks over there in our prayers, expecially my friends son who is stationed with the Coast guard in Galvastan.

Rita is expected to hit landfall Friday night/Saturday morning as a Category 5 or strong 4.

This is the biggest hurricane to hit the Texas coast ever. It will be as strong or stronger than Katrina.

I am sitting 300 miles inland from the coast but on the possible track of the storm after it makes landfall. It might still be hurricane strength (75 mph or higher) when it gets here. We are not being asked to evacuate, but people near the coast are getting out now.

I have relatives within 15 miles and 30 miles of the coast. They are leaving today.

We already have many Katrina survivors here, but the shelters have been emptying out fairly completely by now so that we (San Antonio) can accomodate many others.

If you know anyone who lives within 50 miles of the Texas coast, pray for them, call them and make sure they GET OUT NOW!!!

My friends son who is in the Coast Guard is stationed in Galvaston. His speciality with the military is search and rescue so I think it is likly that he'll be working real hard from now on for awhile. He probably won't be allowed to leave. I'd like to suggest that we all pray for the rescue workers. Bless their hearts, they sure do work hard. Several years ago my children lost everything they owned to a big tital wave (That's kind of redundant. There are no small tital waves. The term 'tital wave' by itself implies really big.) Anyway, they ended up in a Red Cross shelter and they still frequently mention how wonderful the emergency workers are.

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST!

Please join me in praying for the pastor/father Randy, and his prodigal, depressed, angry daughter, Kari today, Thursday, Sep 22 at 4:00 Pacific Time. Randy will attempt to counsel his only daughter who lives in St. Louis via a tele-conference call.

Randy is the pastor of the local Covenant Presbyterial Church. He is an EXCELLENT exegetical teacher, a humble man of God. He is
terribly burdened and pained over this daughter's present crisis situation.

Thank you all,

Jess

Our Father in Heaven, please be with the dear pastor Randy Martin, and touch his daughter Kari in a special way, in Jesus name we pray.

Jess, thanks again for sending me a tape of Pastor Randy's sermon. He is a great teacher. May God's grace touch him in a special way today.

Dear Friends, I'm not sure where to start. Some of you may remember what I've shared in the past about my daughter and I request your prayers again. Annie (my daughter) was born addicted at birth, at the age of four we adopted her. She was abused in different ways and has some learning disabilities. (critical thinking skills - sees everything in very black and white and no gradations)

About four months ago she went into an inpatient treatment center for two monthes and did well when she first came out but has slowly slipped back to the same friends and behavior.

I love her so much and i feel so pained and helpless seeing it happen. She is 19 now and I know the only thing that will give her lasting freedom is a relationship with her Savior Jesus Christ. She resists this because she wants "control" even though her behavior shows how much out of control she is, no matter what she thinks.

Two days ago she left with the car and I know she was using. She missed work yesterday where she is on probation.

My prayer is that God will break through to her and also that I might have wisdom of how to deal with what is happening. I know that tough love is needed but I pray it is tough love and not tough anger. Most of the time my faith allows me to turn it over to God but sometimes it can feel overwhelming.

We serve a loving and compasionate God and I want to remember and dwell in that always.

In Christ,

richard
