My children and I are traveling much of the way across the country for a family wedding this weekend. We will be back early next week and will be facing a appointment at court almost right after. I'd really appreciate your prayers for God's protection for us, and for His will and our best good to come out of the Court hearing Tuesday, and the whole court process in general.

Thanks so much!

Blessings,

Mary

Father,I just pray tonight for Javagirl's father. I pray that the right medical decisions be made with regard to the treatment of this tumor. We praise you Lord, that his salvation is secure, and that he will soon come into your presence.

We pray also Lord in a special way for Mary, and her difficult situation. We praise you Father for the way you have blessed her life. Protect her and her family as they travel to the wedding. May your perfect will be manifest in this important court hearing on Tuesday. We pray in the name of Christ Jesus our Lord, Amen

My prayers are with you during thias time of great sadness with your dad. Didn't you say he has cancer? Has the doctor suggested hospice? Someday when the time comes I want you to know the hospice workers are wonderful. And, Mary, I'll be praying for safe tripping for you and a successful court time. My dad passed away three years ago this month. I still cry because I miss him so much. I think it is something I'll never just get over. I'm thankful that you could share your Christianity with your dad. Hang in there, somehow by the grace of God, you, your family and especially your dad will be o.k.

Back in June I came down with a case of whooping couph. I've long since recovered from the disease but it left my lungs weakened and my bronchae sensitized. At least that is the assessment of my doctor. All I know is that I continue to cough, and heaven forbid if I should start to giggle or laugh because that brings on a fit of coughing. I love to laugh, and want to be able to do so again, with abandon! Today I've started a through of prednizone in the hope that it will resolve the problem and normalize the tissues. Please pray that this will be so, and that the medication won't do me too much harm. I've taken prednizone in the past for other problems, and it has played havoc with my sleep and weight. I'd really rather not have to deal with those side-effects again. Thank you for your prayers.

A prayer request for me. I will be turning 65 Nov 7 of this year. Being SDA most of my life I did not plan well for my retirement. I do have some money for retirement, and thank God I am still strong enough to work, transfer patients and do all that is required in my job as an OT. So I need prayers that God will provide me with what I need monetarily as I have a house to pay for and I will be needing a new car. I have not lost any sleep over this as I know God will take care of me and supply whatever I need. He has done it in the past and will continue to care for me. I just want a lot of prayers in my behalf. Thanks for the prayers.

You have my prayers as well, Diana. I'm in a similar pickle. I won't have much more than SS when I reach retirement age. It doesn't worry me that much because I can't picture lasting on this planet that much longer.

Father in heaven, tonight I pray for Belva and Diana. Thank you for the work you have done in their lives, and for what they have meant to our FAF family. We pray for Belva's post whooping cough condition, and that you will heal her lungs, and keep her from the side effects of prednisone. We pray that you will take care of their financial needs as they reach retiremnt. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen

I'm glad for this group. Please pray for me that I can learn to think that I am saved. I want to be, I want to think that I am, but I've not thought so for so long being adventist. This is just a new way of living for me, in the spirit. I will pray for the financial well being of you both.

Thank you all for your prayers. We experienced a miracle overnight regarding my dad and his illness, a reprieve once again from a horrible ordeal. I have avoided details purposely, but thre is no question of God's involvement, and especially the timing! Funny, my mom even noticed that the people who were acting as "prayer warriors" in this last crisis were "non-adventists" that she knows from work. She cannot deny their sincerity. Of course, I have my own group of prayer warriors on this site, and friends from my bible study group.

Praying for you tomorrow especially Mary.

Susan, I miss my dad already so I understand somewhat. Sorry for the loss of your dad.

Dear Lynne, Jesus does not want you to live in fear and doubt. I'm borrowing these references from Stan (Riverfonz) - John 5, 6, 7 & 10 teach that it is not possible, after being born again, to then be lost. Ephesians 1 teaches that we are sealed for redemption, and John 5:24 is one of the clearest words of Jesus where He says "...whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life". If that life is eternal then how can a true child of God be lost? John 6:37 "All that the Father gives me will come to me...v39 "I will lose none of all that he has given me".

These are sound, solid promises from the lips of Jesus himself. Rejoice that your salvation is sure in Christ, and don't let all of that doubt you were steeped in in the Adventist church overcome you ever again.

Lynne, don't forget to praise God actively for saving you and making you His child (see Romans 8:15-17). He is faithful and consistent, and He will enver let you go.

I will praise God with much gratitude. I'm listening to Christian radio throughout the day. It is helping remove my natural unhealthy thoughts that consumed my mind for a long time.
