Carol -
I am praying for God's peace that passes your understanding as you travel through this ordeal. May you see His goodness and feel His presence. I am also praying that He will heal you completely and that He will be glorified in your life so all who come into contact with you will be blessed by God through you.

Lori - I am also praying for you as you lift Carol up in the love and mercy of Jesus through all of this. He brought you and Carol into each other's lives for this very time. May you both see Him in the friendship He has provided for you.

"And God is able to make ALL grace abound to you, so that ALWAYS having ALL sufficiency in EVERYTHING, you may have an ABUNDANCE...as it is written, 'He scattered abroad, He gave to the poor, HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS ENDURES FOREVER.'" 2 Cor. 9:8,9

We can't out give God.

He will supply all your needs as you both hold on to Him!

Denise

Thanks all for faithfulness in praying for Carol. Latest tests suggest that perhaps there is bleeding in the brain, with blood pooling, causing pressure. They are unclear. Originally what they saw as a tumor, the size of a large cherry on top of the brain, now appears to look like something within the brain, perhaps a tumor, but probably not. The surgeon said this was better news than what originally was believed. We are praising God for this news.

It was a horrendously long day of waiting, Carol remains in pain, despite many different pain coctails. She is vomiting, which brings on more pain. CAT scan/angiogram scheduled for tomorrow, possible surgery to follow.

Please pray for husband Wayne and family and children as well. Please pray for the pain and vomiting to stop. Please pray re the many decisions regarding Surgeons and hospitals. Please pray for the Nurses to be attentive to her needs. Response time seems agonizingly slow.

Carol is amazing in her faith. Her comlete trust in Gods sovereign plan is inspiring.

Denise,
Carol and I have known each other 13 years. We have shared tough times before-- When both were striving to earn and keep salvation, when one was, and one wasnt, and now with both free, and resting in Jesus.
There is no comparison to the bond, the joy, the peace, and the praise. I could weep right now thinking of it, so I will quit!

Father in Heaven, please send Your healing to Carol. As she goes through this ordeal help her to feel Your presence in an undeniable way at every moment and trial. Please guide and direct her thoughts and the decisions that must be made for treatment. Impress your wisdom and caring upon the doctors and nurses who will be seeing to her needs. May they also have Your ears, eyes, hands, and gentle character. Surround her family with love and strength and care for their needs too. Thank You for hearing each prayer that is lifted up to You on Carol's behalf. We trust in You alone. In Jesus name, Amen.

Dear Carol, I continue to pray for your pain and the wisdom of the doctors as they determine the course of treatment for the cause of it. I continue to pray this will be a short-lived event in your life and that you will be completely healed without any adverse long-term affects. It does appear that the pain has been a blessing to alert you of something greater than originally anticipated and for that we can be thankful. I pray that you find comfort and that peace that passes all understanding as you face this challenge.

Thank you, Lori, for updating us on her condition and for passing along our love and concern as well.

Carol, praise God for this news. I continue to pray for you and your husband also, and for your complete healing and for God to be glorified as a result of this.

Lori, how wonderful that God put you and Carol in each other's lives long enough ago that you share a history that bonds you. Thank you for carrying messages back and forth between her and us. Praying for you, too!

The nurses has really responded to your prayers! One is from Ghana, and our church supports missionaries there, so was a nice connection to find. THey are going the extra mile. Thanks especially to you health care professionals. God uses you. Ive been filling out care cards for those who have been so caring.

My adventist friends have been awesome also, even tho most know I have left. Picking up my son, taking him to and from school, helping with homework etc, so that I can sit with Carol and Wayne. Im off to the hospital with your prayers!

Lori and Carol,
Almost 20 years ago God brought a special friend into my life - Colleen Moore Tinker. She was really just a sweet aquaintance as she was a dear friend of my future sister-in-law. She arranged and played all the music at my wedding and then we slipped from each other's lives.

Fast forward to around 2001 when I received my first Proclamation and to my surprise who's name was on the editorial staff...? My "old" friend, Colleen. Though God did not directly bring Colleen into my life until 2003, when I really began the actual transition from Adventism, I KNOW without any doubt that He placed Colleen in my life "for such a time as this"!

Your friendship with each other is no accident. Our All-Knowing, All-Seeing, Soveriegn God Almighty knew where, when and what your needs were going to be. I believe our friendships fall into the promise God gives in 1 Cor. 10:13, where we are told we will never have to endure more than we can handle (the Denise paraphrase version :-)).

I am praising God for His goodness in providing His grace to you both through each other. Carol, I continue to hold you up in prayer for God's healing, comfort, and peace.

Singing His praises along with you both,
Denise

Thank you, Denise. I thought of you, too, when I commented last night on Carol and Lori's friendship. God is so faithful! I thank Him for you, Denise.

Lori, what a blessing all those acquaintances and friends are to you! I was thinking this morning about the time you are spending sitting at the hospital and what a comfort that is to Carol and Wayne. Praise God for His provision even when we are overwhlemed.

Tests scheduled through Friday at this point. Gods timing is perfect. Carol is praying for a great harvest, regardless of outcome. Please pray for her friends, family, and the precious children she teaches and mentors faithfully at church. That is her desire.

We are making a bulletin board, and will attach the "prayers of the saints, arising like a sweet aroma to the throne of Grace". Thanks for all your emailed prayers.

Please pray for my family as well.

Praying here, Lori, as well.

"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9).

God is faithful.
