Good news. The CAT scan showed no evidence of a stroke. Carol "perked up" late last night.

Give Carol my best, and assure her that I say a prayer for her every time I think of her throughout the day. She is a special lady, and I'm so glad to hear that there was no disabling event after her surgery. He will bear her up with wings, that she may soar like eagles.

Wonderful news Lori!!

Carol, hang in there! God has not done this for harm, but to bring many sons (and daughters) to Himself. For His righteousness sake, and for His Glory!

I've often come here for prayer for my family, and again I would appreciate prayer for us, but tonight I'd like to ask people to pray for the people who make this site possible.

For Former Adventist Forum, for Life Assurance Ministries, for for the other Outreach ministries who are making it much easier to find the information that helps us process what has happened to us, and even more so to share the freedom of the gospel.

Let's thank God for them, and also ask God to strengthen and encourage each person connected with these ministries. To give them wisdom, guidance, faith, courage, love, hope, and a clear view of Himself. May He bless their work, and may He be glorified!

Blessings,

Mary

Amen, Mary!

I also would throw in my mother who has had a mass discovered on her pancreas. She lives in a very small town and is coming to KU Med center here in town to have it evaluated. After the sonogram in her little community, they thought it was a cyst, but they can't rule out a tumor until a biopsy. She is driving up tomorrow and is planning on being here at least a month. My brother's wife is also expecting their first in about 10 days, so there is lots of stuff going on. They may induce the labor early to make sure the delivery is done before my mother has to have anything too risky as she's concerned she may not get to see the baby otherwise. Some of that is just fear, I'm sure, but you'd hate to ignore it at the same time.

Life sure gets busy at times.....We have lots to pray for.

Melissa, Your Mom is being put on my prayer list and I will remember her every day.
Mary, A BIG AMEN to your request. FAF and all the other websites do get our prayers and will continue to get mine.
Having lots to pray for keeps our minds on God. He is always Awesome.

Thank you for the prayers. God is so faithful; we always need Himóand He always walks with us. Your prayers are gifts for which we thank God.

Melissa, praying for your familyóand for you. God will hold your heart and keep your mind rooted in reality. I can imagine how conflicting and overwhelming all this must seem...

My father in law Bud is 85 years old and a stroke victim. He has always loved the lord and I'm sure he still has quiet time with Him in his own way. Please pray for peace for him and my mother in law who is a constant care-giver. And, my point in being in the forum in the first place, my daughter D. And this forum is sent to me by God and I pray for continued blessings for the work it does. CW

Mary, I will pray for you. Just wondering if you would all pray for us as we are visiting family in the WW area, SDA family. I want God's love and peace to flow out of me even dispite my own self and the craziness of traveling with kids, physical exhaustion, family dynamics, etc... Thank you for your prayers.

Praying for you Colleen and Richard.
Praying Melissa, CW, Mary, Lisa. And all other requests here, even the unspoken ones!

Please continue to keep Carol in your prayers. She is still in intensive care, one week now. This is longer than originally thought. Today she was quite agitated and anxious. Lots of ups and downs, and the family is feeling the toll. Please especially pray for Wayne when you read this. He has had over two weeks of an intense situation, watching Carol suffer. She will face quite a bit of rehab, due to partial paralysis in her left arm and leg. THe surgeon did see some slight movement in her left arm today. Her daughter Mary, had to leave to go back to college today. It was tough on all. Please continue to pray for Mary and the other kids as well.

Lori
