Lisa, praying for you. Also for Carol and Wayne, and for you Mary and Lori.

Isn't it an amazing privilege that God asks us to pray for each other? It's pretty overwhelming when I think about it...

Carol is doing better today, praise God. She has finally been moved from ICU, and is in a reg room. She was talking, more alert, memory better. She also mentioned being bored, and welcoming visitors. Anyone in the atlanta area, she is at Atlanta medical center. See post above for address. She will be in a long haul of rehab, still no real function in left leg or arm, still trouble with vision. Cards, letters, Praise music stuff would be appreciated. And if you are local, food! Horrible food there at the hospital.
Im out of town for a few days, driving to PA, (11 hours away) so please pray safety on my trip, and for my son while I am gone. My husband will come home for a few days to stay with him. Im praying they have good time together.

Hugs,
Lori

To ALL:
This is a copy of an email I sent to someone but I'd like to share it here as well.

*****, thanks for your prayers. If it was not for my faith in God life would be VERY difficult right now.

Our study group will be meeting 2 1/4 hours from now. Some of our small group have been fasting and all have been praying that God will be present in a real and palpable sense.

May the Holy Spirit descend and linger over every person there. I know the Holy Spirit is always present :-) but I guess:

I pray for MORE of Him, to take each person into a special place of joy and awareness of how much God loves them.

I pray that each person will know that it is HIM (GOD almighty) and not a church or denomination or the approval of friends which is important . We serve an awesome God and it is His glory that we stand in the presence of.

In Christ,

Richard

Thank you all for your prayers. My comments will be short tonight since it is late but let me tell this much.

We started at 3pm in the afternoon and were scheduled to go from 3-5pm. Cherry handed out notebooks for each "student" and the study notes for today. Only the notes for each day are included so they need to come back to see what is next. :-)

There were 26 people at the meeting including the pastor. Most of the time was an introduction by Cherry telling her background and personal journey to her current belief of the falsity of SDA theology. Then she moved on to why the study and what we would be covering. The areas to be covered include EGW, the Sabbath, Soul Sleep and the I J.

When the time came for questions there were only questions that seemed to be truly seeking God's Truth in Scripture. One in our group said the pastor told them that this was something that the church needed. He also said that since there were some that should be there who weren't Cherry might need to present it again.

We will be getting down to the "nitty gritty" and meat of the matter in two weeks at the next public meeting. I know of a few who could not make it today who said they will come next time.

After the meeting we went back to one of our homes and spent time in prayer and intercession. We were there from 6:30pm to after 10:30 this evening. It was a powerful time of prayer as we prayed for the church, for individuals, for issues in the church, and also each other.

We are deeply concerned about some of the disorder and lack of theological clarity within our church. It is strange that this very lack of clarity of theology may be what allowed us to have our meetings. (God works in mysterious way.) We all prayed and came before the Lord asking that truth and not error would be preached and lifted up before our members.

Almost none of the refreshments that were put out this eveing were eaten since we were totally involved in praying. Suddenly we realized 10:30pm had come. We are very encouraged and feel that God was moving on the hearts of different people.

In Christ,

Richard

I forgot last night to include another prayer request. (or two :-) )

When we came back to the house a young medical student came with us who is a classmate of my nephew at Loma Linda. We had sat together in the afternoon meeting. She has a personal ministry to introduce her classmates to a living vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ. She is a nonSDA and had been introduced to the power of the Holy Spirit in her life this past year. Last night she was going to just "hang" (her words) with classmates and share her heart with them as God lead her.

She asked for our prayers and we put her in the middle of our group and prayed for her. Please keep her in your prayers that she might have the words to break through the shell of pride and disinterest she finds with many. I added the names of the six students she has been witnessing to, to my personal prayer list.

Also keep my nephew in your prayers as he struggles with many personal issues. He loves God deeply but I sense he is struggling and weighed down. My prayer is that he might deepen His walk with God and totally lose Himself in God's presence to all outside pressures.

Well it is shower time to get ready for church. Thanks in advance for your prayers.

In Christ,

Richard

Gmatt and Diana thanks for your prayers.

God truely is leading. I know that there are forces arrayed against the meetings but I trust that God will lead us, direct us and strengthen us in all that we do. We are stepping out in faith and prayer.

In Christ,

Richard

Amen, God is faithful, and you are being prayed for here, too. Are any of the rest of you frustrated by the fact that the "falling away" that was "prophecied" by Ellen White is simply the awakening to Gospel Truth, and should be something that every one in every church should pray for, not rail against! Our God is an awesome God, and he reigns sovereignly over all of our efforts, for which I am so grateful.

What I'm trying to say is that it is tragic that the moving of the Holy Spirit in bring the real truth to the hearts of the people is not recognized as the miracle of faith that it is. God's precious few will know it for what it is, however.

Thanks for praying for my trip. All was a blessing. Please continue to pray for my family, My husband, my self, and my son. Please pray for Gods guidance, and strength. My husband is still gone, things at home have intensified. Please especially pray for my son.

God is faithful, very present to me. I am blessed in this storm, and grateful for His grace and provision.

Prayers for you all as well. Had lots of driving time to pray for you all!.

Lori, I'm glad to hear your trip was a blessing. Continuing to pray for you and your son...

Belva, I've often pondered the same thing. The great shaking that was "prophesied" is really people coming to know the true Gospel! That very reality was the point of some of my great attacks of guilt as I came out. What if I'm fulfilling prophecy, I would ask myself, and am abandoning the truth?

Well, I was sort-of fulfilling prophecy, but I wasn't abandoning truth. I was leaving the deception! Praise God for orchestrating and timing the entire event!

Hi everyone,

It's been a long time, but I am still around - and in need of prayer.

As you know, my Mom came to live with me last September. Things are rough, but we are okay. Please pray for the following:

*Please pray that my Mom has her back surgery soon, and that it goes well.

*Please pray that my Dad is released soon - he is being held longer than his sentence was.

*Please pray for financial help for my mother's fibrosis surgery. (I make too much to get assistance, and TOO little to pay for the surgery myself.)

*Please pray for my mental health - depression is near me EVERY morning.

*Please pray for my physical health - I have had an anxiety attack that struck my heart.

*Please pray for me, period. I am trying so hard to hold on, when all I really want to do is let go. I don't understand why my life has gotten so bad...but I am truly sorry for whatever I did to deserve this pressure.

I have resorted to old habits and criticism doesn't help...

I am also having an issue with a woman on my job. She "playfully" calls me ghetto - (NOT a nice word - whether you're black or not) and I don't like it. She stopped after a while, but then today it started again...and I don't know if I will be able to hold my tongue. I have anew boss who is not at all like my old one...and the adjustment is smarting me!!!

Do I sound frustrated? I am. Sound like I need a miracle AND a vacation? I do. I just dont know what else to say guys...I need prayer - a lot of it.

Thank you,

Tay

Dear Taybie, We are studying Hebrews 12 in women's Bible study tonight. It is an awesome chapter, and the first half is a discussion of the fact that God disciplines those He loves. Those who are not true sons (or duaghters) He does not discipline.

God is walking with you and is wanting to help ground you in truth and reality and to anchor your trust in Him.

Read Hebrews 12óI think you will find it encouraging.

Praying for you, Taybie...
