Im forwarding an update re Carol from her husband Wayne. Ill try to get an address today. I love that she is at "Shepherd's" rehab. :-). (And whoever sent the toffee cashews, well I confess, I was fighting Carol for them).
Lori

I have met her team of therapists, Physical, Occupational and Speech. They seem really nice, but not at all what I expected. I guess I expected them to be more like drill sergeants. Her first day of therapy was Wed. and she
did really well. She has a good attitude and by her estimate, is much better off physically than most of the people there. They tell her she will do very well and should expect to be there a month. She pushed herself around with
her good leg, in her wheel chair, most of the day Wed. to get to her planned
events. It really tires her out! They told us earlier that most everyone
sleeps well at Shepherd's. Now I see why.

Please continue to include us in your prayers for healing and also for Jesus to have his way in our family. I believe I was promised that God would
do some mighty works through this in each of our lives and my hope is for that to happen as He wills. Thanks for all the prayer, cards. letters,
flowers and email. We really do appreciate all the incredible kindness show by so
many people. Don't know where we go next but it really doesn't matter as long as the Lord is driving the bus!

Wayne

My son is in jail-again. Please pray that this is the time he really learns to abide by societys rules because he is facing some very serious charges and most likly will be incarcerated at least a year. He needs a serious attitude change or he'll be incarcerated again when he gets out, or he needs to become a hermit. thanks for the prayers. BTW, he just got out of jail six days before going back in plus in the middle of those six days out he spent the night in a Mexican pattywagon but fortunatelly he was able to pay off the Mexican cops and he ran back into the United States, only to end up in jail again three days later. Please ask for Gods mercy on my sons soul and for a "heart transplant". Thank-you.

Susan, God can work wonders in a desperate heart, with no where to turn, but to HIM. That is my prayer for your sons, and for peace for you.

Praying Melissa for your mother, and for your family, and your Ex.

Praying as always Richard, for you, Annie, and your group.

Shontay, come to Atlanta on June 17 and hang out with us. We can cover you in healing prayer and the vacation part as well! Praying already of course...

Diana, the first smile I saw on Carols face a few days after surgery, was when I read your emailed prayer to her. Didnt even know if she was comprehending, until I got to the end of your email, and read "God is Awesome!" Big smile and obvious recognition with that phrase!

Hugs all,
Lori

Hello,

I have not made very many posts and I have never posted in the prayer section, but it looks like many read and pray. I am asking for your prayers for my family.

I am employed in the denomination right now and have basically studied my way out, but I am not out yet. This site has been part of that process and I am thankful for it.

I have been praying for many months that God would provide a way out of at least the employment in the denomination. No doors seemed to open up, only doors that would keep us in bondage. But recently one has opened that we have decided to go through. Right now it looks like so much more than we asked for financially, but we're not counting chickens yet. We (my family) are committed to leaving and have made it our top priority, even if finances don't turn out to be as good as they seem to be. God has opened the door and we are walking into the unknown, but we're doing it by faith in Jesus and the prompting of the Holy Spirit.

We are just beginning to realize how much will change in our lives. Virtually everything! But we see it as "worth the cost" and we have peace with God. We will be moving, changing careers, losing friends, pulling up the only roots we've ever known, looking for a new church, etc., and the list goes on.

Please pray for Freeindeed and family as we make this transition. I didn't see it happening this fast, but here it is. Please pray that we can maintain our integrity and that Jesus will be lifted up and glorified by our words and actions over the next few weeks and beyond, even when we eventually request that our names be removed from the "Book of Adventism".

We are both excited and apprehensive. But most of all, we just feel free.

Thank you in advance.

Freeindeed

God bless you abundantly, Freeindeed.

I'm praying for you and your family. You will definitely be rewarded for your faithfulness to the Lord Jesus and His Gospel.

quote:

"Peter began to say to Him, 'Behold, we have left everything and followed You.'
29Jesus said, 'Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or farms, for My sake and for the gospel's sake,
30but that he will receive a hundred times as much now in the present age, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and farms, along with persecutions; and in the age to come, eternal life." (Mark 10:28-30 NASB.)

Freeindeed,
Praise God for all the changes He is making in your life and especially in getting new employment.
When I left VA for NV, I felt like I was on a supersonic jet, things moved so fast. All I had to do was sit back and enjoy letting God take over.
God will take care of you and as Jeremy quoted he will provide family-extended-for you.
Father in Heaven, You are the I AM and I know you have this family in you awesome hands at this time. Provide their every need and help them as they adjust to their new circumstances. Fill them with the Holy Spirit and with your peace.
Thank you God. You are always awesome.

Freeindeed,

I will be praying for you as you follow God's leading in your lives. You will find a certain peace of mind that accompanies following your convictions. You will feel a strength that comes from finally realizing you are free from bondage.
Praise God that you can be of one mind and do this together.
I look forward to hearing your story. I believe I suggested earlier that your witness for truth , honesty, and integrity will take a major leap with this decision. Even those who don't, or will not understand your journey will have to recognize the strength it takes to make this decision. You will find that many others are also questioning their beliefs in Adventist doctrine. The credibility you have built up over the years will not be lost as Christ will now use you in a new way.

Prayers for the Freeindeed family and also all those who will be challenged by your decision.

Please be patient with your loved ones as it will take time for them to even want to understand.

Please feel free to share your burdens here, as a burden shared often times feels lighter.

Freeindeed, thanks for asking us to pray for you. I will also be praying for you and your family. God absolutely redeems everything we lose for His sake. Your freedom and excitement right now are confirmations that you are following Him asHe leads you out.

I've been asked how to know if the peace and aliveness and freedom one feels when following Jesus out is not merely our minds feeling relief after making a decisionóor worse, a deception from Satan to keep us outside the safety of the "church".

The answer is that God does not trick us; if a father would not give his son a stone when he asked for an egg, how much more would God give His people the Holy Spirit if they ask for Him? Your peace and freedom are part of the new life and new heart He has given you. I'm so delighted for you and your family! Praise God!

Praying,
Colleen

Freeindeed!

Indeed, you really ARE free! You cannot outgive God! You are giving up much for Him but the blessings you receive back will far outweigh all the costs to you and your family! I am looking forward to the future when you list out for us ALL the riches you have! I know I could just fill up pages telling you how rich my family and I (and our journey out of Adventism looked financially suicidal, too!)!! :-)

"He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being WILL FLOW rivers of living water.'" (John 7:38)

Praying for you, my Free friend, indeed!

Thank you all for your encouragement and prayers. We rest completely in God's grace and know that he's just asking us to trust him, that he knows what he's doing. Since he is the beginning and the end (he doesn't just know it, he is it) we will trust him.

Thanks again.

There is a Revelation Seminar coming to the Chattanooga Convention Center. They are sending out mailers that say it is by "Hope Ministries" yep. They also have commercials.

Please pray against it.
