Carol came to chuch today! I was blessed to have her there, and just so grateful to God for sparing her life! She is in her wheelchair, and is taking steps with a walker at her rehab center.

Im thankful to you all for prayers on her behalf--and certainly she and Wayne are grateful, and have been carried many times by your faithful prayers. Im planning on reading some of the forum posts to her this week at her request. Please continue in prayers for her complete healing, and for patience and endurance and abundant hope as she continues with her painfully slow rehab process.

Praise God!

Sylvia's surgeon just reported to me, moments ago, that her skin transplant surgery went well. She is now recovering from her general anesthesia while I am typing this. She will be ready to go home in about 90 minutes. Hopefully, this procedure will solve some complications resulting from type 2 diabetes. Indeed, we serve a prayer-answering God!

Dear Friends,
Lori has been reading all of your posts to me, and I just want you to know how much I appreciate all of your love, letters, emails, and cards, and especially your prayers. I am very touched.

Diana, the therapy is going very well, and yes, I do wish you were my OT. They are working me very hard every day, and I come home exhausted.

MC: Thank you for the picture, your children are beautiful, i really have appreciated the letters you have sent.

As an update, I am not yet walking, but they do anticipate I will walk again. I have feeling in my left leg, and can walk with a walker and some assistance.

I thought I would be back to work by the end of this month, but I cant see that happening. Hopefully in another three months or so I will be able to return to my job.

Dennis, Glad to here the good news re your wife. You are both in my prayers.

As a dear friend always says, "God is awesome".
I love you all,
Carol

A thank you to God. Just about a month ago I was diagnosed as pre diabetic. I was angry at God because I knew I had gained weight and asked His help to loose it. I knew I had to exercise and my quads would get tired quickly because of other things that had gone on in my life, I could not exercise regularly. Just before I fell and got a hair line fracture on my right knee in Dec 2005, I was getting into a good exercise routine and then my knee happened. Since then, I have been trying to exercise and my quads were giving me trouble by getting tired really fast. Well, this past weekend I was in Phoenix visiting a girl friend from VA. She gets up early every day to exercise her dog and I went with her. Friday afternoon, I exercises for 1/2 hour in the pool. Sat and Sun morning I got up with her and walked the dog. Saturday I walked 1/2 hour and Sunday I walked 3/4 of an hour and Sil told me I walked 3 & 1/2 miles. I did not exercise again until this morning. I have some DVDs with instruction on doing latin dancing moves. Up until last week, I could only do 20 mins. Today I did 45 minutes. I will try this every day or every other day, depending on how my legs feel. Right now there is no soreness or tiredness. So, I thank God. Please pray that I can continue to exercise as I need to get my weight down and get my blood sugar down also. I do have adult onset diabetes in my family.
I just wanted to share with you what God has done for me.
He is so awesome and I am so thankful.

Diana, praise God for helping you find a way to begin exercising without hurting yourself! I've been praying for you re: this diabetes situation...He is faithful.
