Thanks Colleen, Diana, Bb, and Leigh for your prayers!!!! It is awesome knowing others can "lift me up" in their prayers, I have you guys, family and friends that care so it is nice knowing I don't have to go it alone. I had my surgery Monday; right now I am still very sore and it's been hard to eat normal food (I can drink ok and eat soup but anything else just seems to get stuck in my throat and it hurts all the way down to my stomach - the doctor said it is mainly because of the intubation). The surgeon found lots of adhesions/scar tissue in several areas of my abdomen/pelvic areas; the area where the hernia was is incredibly sore and I look the way I used to when I was pregnant. He also found cysts in one of my ovaries and believes those plus the adhesions have something to do with my ongoing pain; he also said, my abdominal tissue/lining seems very weak which makes me prone to hernias, twisted colon, gastritis, etc (all those have been diagnosed). In any case, this is day 4 and I have medication through tomorrow so hopefully I won't need any more. Again, I thank you all for your prayers.

Bb I pray you will get some resolution to your medical concerns; as I said, I don't want to spend any more time, energy, nor money trying to figure out the cause of my pain, so this better work this time. Keep me posted on your journey.

May God bless all of you who have prayer requests and may He grant you peace, hope, patience, and the hoped for healing for yourselves, loved ones and friends.

Hi everyone!
God is wonderful. I have had good test results. First week I had to wait for the x-ray then the next week the CT scan, and then another week for the blood work!! AAAggghhhh. I have never been good at waiting. My mind just ruminates over and over the worst. I have been reading about anxiety and am praying to not do this to myself but to trust in the Lord!

All tests came back good. The blood work had a slight elevation and I went to check my ovaries and there was a small cyst, non-cancerous looking that we are going to watch. Praise the Lord.

I still had some symptoms so I showed up at my doctors and told him my fears. I prayed, "Please Lord, let him reassure me this time if it is your will that I am fine!" So the Lord answered this prayer and after 3 to 4 weeks of paralyzing fear I have a peace. But did God ever get my attention!!!!

I am so thankful for all of this right now, because I have found out that I can actually pray and it feels like I am truly communicating with my Saviour! I think my adventist roots made me struggle with my prayer life. I did have Him reveal to me my dishonesty (thus the confession with my mother) and feel renewed in Christ!!!

I truly believe that being put through the fire does refine us and keep us close to Him!

I do have another test for a weird red spot on my face, but am trusting God to work this out!

I don't like being over 40! Too many things to take care of!!! :{

Olga, am glad you are out of the surgery. I pray that God will continue to heal you!

Thank you everyone for the prayers!

I have another prayer request. One of my patient's is a man from Mexico. He was under his truck at the side of the freeway fixing it, when another vehicle hit his truck from behind. His truck came down on him. He had a broken left shoulder and a fractured right leg and some broken ribs. His wife came from Mexico to be with him. About a week ago, when I went in to do therapy with him, his wife showed me a Bible in Spanish. He speaks Spanish and a little English. She speaks only Spanish. She said she is Catholic and this was not a Catholic Bible and asked if it was okay. I told her they were almost the same. I do not remember the differences and I told her, if she wanted to read it, to begin with John, as that book tells us how much God loves us.
Today is their 25th wedding anniversary, so I took them a cake to celebrate it. I do not work Saturdays, so this was just a friend visiting. The wife had mentioned that she would like to go to Mass, but was afraid to walk to the nearby Catholic church. So I offered to take her. On the way out to my car she unburdened herself by telling me her husband has a girl friend with whom he has been living for the past 2 years and that she was with him when the accident happened. The girl friend told the people at the hospital that she was his wife. The husband has told his wife that when he gets well, he wants to go back to this girl friend.
They have no family here in the US, so the wife is here alone.
So, I am asking all of you to pray for this lady. This couple are in their 40s and the girl friend in about 28.
I took her to the local Catholic church and she prayed. I also said a prayer with her, in English, before she went it, because the church was not open.
Pray that God will make himself known to her and her husband, that I will represent God to her in the way He wants and that God save their marriage. She loves her husband.
Thanks in advance for all your prayers.
God will do awesome things for this family as He does all the time for each of us.

I really don't have time to explain much right now but please hold my daughter and her husband in your prayers as well as the birth mother and grandmother that the adoption situation they are all working with will work out for the best of the beautiful baby boy and to God's glory.

Thankyou all

Dear Friends,

Please pray for my father. He was diagnosed with cancer last week. the obvious growth was removed last week, but some of his lymph nodes tested positive also.

Also, please agree with me in prayer that God will work out His will to His glory in a different personal/family issue that is currently unfolding. I'm praying for wisdom, courage, clarity, and calm nerves for all involved, and that the truth will be lived.

Thank you!

Mary

Thank you for your prayers for my daughter. I posted the answer to those prayers so far in the "answers" thread.

Please pray for comfort for the birth mother and her family as they grieve their loss.

Thankyou Mary and Toria and Colleen.

I also am praying Gods will in your situations too - Mary for your dad and family, Toria for your health and Colleen for your sons friends recovery.

I do note and remember the prayer requests here but without posting that I notice. It is encouraging to see the acknowlegements of the requests and I will try to do that more for others too.

I often read the prayer requests, and pray (mostly without posting) for those who need prayer. To answer your question Colleen, yes I'm still ok. Now seven months without treatments. God is so faithful, and yes, truly AWESOME.
Blessings
