17 years ago in a few minutes local time, I gave birth to my daughter, Rachel. I didn't know, couldn't begin to know how her birth would change my life. I had never really had much experience with disabilities or special needs kids, but there are thousands of families out there who endure things the average family could never imagine. My daughter now lives in a special home because I couldn't care for her. On HER day, I continue to pray for God to heal her and to remove the curse her disorder means for her. But as he has yet to do so, I pray for the people he has put in her life to do what I could not. I hope that in some way she is able to understand peace and joy amidst the hard aspects of her disorder. SOME day, I know that if scripture is true, she will be above and beyond us all in eternity. And that's the best I can hope for her...strength to get through this life safely and with as few bumps and bruises as possible. I don't know what a future looks like for her. I don't know how many years she gets or what those years will bring for her, but I only have to think about today now and that she is happy, well cared for, and loved is a great blessing in her life.

Continue to pray for the legal battles my little one faces. It continues to rage and the personal, emotional toll is high. My older son is struggling in school, and I'm sure it's the concerns for his brother and missing him when his dad has him. I know so well why the Bible says God hates divorce, and I wasn't married!

I am thankful for wonderful counselors and supporters, several from this board, who keep me sane and grounded when the grief is overwhelming.

Life seemed so idealistic when I gave birth to that little girl. All the hopes and dreams we naturally try to impose on our kids ... until reality wakes us up.

Rachel is 17 ... where did the years go? It hardly seems possible.

Melissa,
God knows what you are going through and He is holding you in his awesome arms when you cannot make it through the day. He loves you and your daughter and your boys.
Father in Heaven. You are the I AM and the Creator of this world. Be with Melissa today, right now, that she can feel you arms around her. Be her comfort and her guide and that of her boys and daughter. Thank you for taking care of this family.

Hello everybody

My SDA friend is studying and investigating if the SDA doctrines are the truth or if she has been lied to. I have recommended her reading the Bible and no other material for a month, especially to reread Galatians and Hebrews.

Please pray for her, that God will reveal his Word for her, that she may be saved and that no evil spirit will trick her or have influence over her. Pray that she may not feel lonely and that she may feel the presence of God.

In Christ

To all my prayer warrior friends here,

I have a special request that you pray for a dear friend of mine, that she will continue to trust on Jesus for guidance in this, a very difficult time of her life.

God honors the prayers of his children, and I know He will send the Holy Spirit to guide and comfort.

Thank-you friends,

Randy

my husband (and his sda brother) are driving up to visit their very conservative sda family (his mom and relatives) in the mountains of east tennessee. it is just for a long weekend, but i always worry about the the strong influence, family tradition, guilt, and pull towards this "pure life in the mountains" will have on him. please pray for him. he does not have a personal relationship with Christ and nothing solid to fall back on, so needless to say, i am very worried.

Just talked with my SDA friend today, she felt so lonely and would like to come to our gatherings each Sunday, she had not gone for a while to try out if it was better for her to study without influence, so now she will be gathering with me and more Christians.

Please pray for her that God may lead her into all truth about him. Also please pray for us, that we may be patient, loving and kind towards her. (thats at times pretty tough)

In Christ.

Nicole, praying for your husband and Mwh, praying for your friend.
Father in heaven, you are the I AM. Everything is under your control, so please be with these people, Nicole's husband and his brother as they visit their SDA relatives and the young lady that is studying with Mwh and his friends, that they will learn to know Jesus and find out that He is all they need.
Thank you for answering this prayer. You are always awesome.

Hi everyone. Tonight about 5:30, our little dog was run over by a large truck and died almost instantly. She is seven years old, a buff colored female cocker. She was a huge part of our family, my daughter, son, and my husband and me. My daughter was walking her, not a leash around our neighborhood circle, and a neighbor was on his way home from work (our dentist) and saw them and had totally stopped, but thought it was ok to go on then, but she ran suddenly right under his front wheels. He is just sick about it and I do feel bad for him. I feel so bad that my daughter, age 14, saw it happen.
Please, please pray for my family. My son (age 11), is especially very, very upset. I haven't been strong enough for them, because it's so, so hard. I love her very much; she is my constant little companion and it's hard to even be in the house right now without her. I wish that I could have a better understanding of why , why God did not reach out and prevent this. Her name is Millie.
Thank all of y'all for reading this and please pray for my family. Thank you.

Love in Jesus,

Tricia

Tricia,

I feel so bad for you right now, as I just got in the house after playing ball with my standard poodle riverfonz (Fonzie). I would be just devastated if that happened to him as he is also seven years old. Praying for you and your family, and hoping that you get another dog in the near future. Dogs are a wonderful gift from God.

Stan
