Joyfulheart, I am praying now for these people. I understand your heavy heart. Praise God that Jesus has already defeated Satan, and He is stronger than the cleverest deception. You're rightóprayer is what we can do.

I have a prayer request for my "Catholic" (born and raised catholic, but walks all over, a bit New Age) friend. At times she goes to the local SDA church to hear about health issues, (she has health problems). Please pray for her that God may lift her veil and show her the truth about the Gospel of Jesus Christ, that she may be saved from His wrath.

I will also pray for the people mentioned by Joyfulheart. I, unfortunately, found myself recently at a SDA service where about 15 people were baptized after attending prophecy seminars. As these people were interviewed, many spoke of now knowing the "Truth". It sounded so creepy and cultish coming from so many different people. One gentlemen was also very pleased with the new "knowledge" he had learned, and explained happily how he had confronted a number of other Christians about their beliefs.

I immediately found myself praying for these people went I returned home. It was disturbing.

Blessings,

Wally

Please keep my wife in prayer as she goes in for tests Thursday and Friday of this week.

The doctor met with us Wednesday and suggested that she have a PT scan and a bronchial scope. He says he is still leaning toward pneumonia, but we are concerned at his sudden decision to run these tests.

I thank you all for your continued prayers and concern.

Praying for your wife and for you - that you will both have peace and courage thru all the testing and that you will have no trials but those that will work the 'peaceable fruits of righteousness' in your lives!

Dear FAF family,
My family and I will be traveling tomorrow to visit my husband's 88 y.o. grandmother. She lives far away and we haven't seen her in about 6 1/2 years. She doesn't know that we have left Adventism. She has invited us to go to church with her on satuday and we feel led to go out of love for her. I am confident in my children's relationship with the Lord and of saving grace not to be worried about their time in sabbath school. I would like prayer for boldness and courage for us all when the subject comes up either with her or in Sabbath school discussion (does anybody happen to know what the sabbath school lesson is about this week?). I also ask for peace during the flight. 2 of us are not particularly fond of flying.
thanks,
Leigh

i have a prayer request...
my mil, her husband, and her brother's family are traveling to india on a missionary trip this january. they are there for a month. i guess this is a big move right now in the adventist missionary field, as from what i was told, most other missionary groups are not targeting that area of the world. i pray the the indian people will not hear the adventist version of salvation first, as i think most of them are either muslim or hindu.
my husband's uncle is very big in missionary work (central america, russia, and now india). he once went to moldova to help a young girl who had leukemia (she was in need of a bone marrow transplant). he is a physician. he brought her back to the states and to an adventist hospital. she didn't make it, unfortunately, however, he managed to convert her family to adventism, and the other daughter was invited to attend southern for college (scholarship). they were orthodox christians! i never put the pieces together at the time, but didn't understand why the need to evangelize to other christians. why not just encourage them in their faith in Christ and send them on their way. my in-laws are very good people, but now i think helping in the medical missions always has the sneaky motive of converting christians and non-christians to adventism.
my husband, who is in the medical field, thinks this is very noble missionary work, and is very proud of his family for doing this kind of thing (setting up clinics, etc.). i pray he doesn't get sucked in to volunteer or have admiration for the adventist church under those pretenses. you all know how this works much better than myself. please pray for his family and the people they will be meeting in india.
this is one of the websites i heard about to encourage adventists to go in to the missionary field (short missions) www.adventistvolunteers.org

this link takes you to how they are to evangelize. i read through the chapters and can see how their method is very deceiving in that they do mix truth with unique adnevtist doctrine so even a new christian would be easily lead away into adventism.

Nicole,
A prayer: Father in Heaven, you are the I AM and you are our Father and I thank You. Send your Spirit ahead of these people so that the targeted people will be able to discern truth from what is not true and will see that all they need is you. Protect the innocent. You are awesome God.

Nicole, I have written them on my prayer list.
