This may be a good time to ask for prayer.
I travel to the cancer clinic (200 miles from here) tomorrow for my 3 month routine of tests and meeting with my oncologist. I will be away for a few days.
I have had nine months without needing chemo or radiation treatments. God has been good to me.

Those trips to the clinic are always a little nerve wracking as I never know what the results will be.
Knowing people are praying always helps.

Blessings

Toria,
A prayer for you to take with you.
Father in heaven, you are the I AM and the Great Physician. You promise to be with us until you come again, so I am asking that you go with Toria on her journey. Keep her safe in your hands as she travels and as she gets the results of all the tests. I ask that she continue to have no signs of cancer. Keep on healing her. She loves you Lord and I thank you for the privilege of praying to you for her. You are always awesome.

I just received a phone call from Susan2. Her SDA mother was put in the hospital this morning with a heart attack. Susan called me from her car outside the hospital. Susan asked me to put this on the forum and ask all of you to pray for her Mother. I know all of you will pray for her. Thank you God for such friends. You are awesome and they are terific.

Hi FAF family
I would like praise the Lord for His leading and also to pray for safety this long weekend as we travel, etc. Also, to pray that the Lord will lift the veil for several friends who are living in fear and frustration.

MWH, Diana, Toria, Pheeki, praying for each of your requests.

Thank you all for your prayers.

Everything went well. I will not have the results of all the tests until after January 17th. I am hopeful that things have not changed.
Colleen, my doctor told me that there is a chemo treatment I can have when I need it, but it will have a better chance of doing some good if I can go a year (longer would be better) since my last treatment. As you know, I am at the nine month mark. I will find out on the 17th if that has changed.
I always feel a little worn out after these trips. I get tired very easily. I have some difficult days, but mostly good ones. Whenever I start to feel 'down', I pick up my Bible and read until I feel better. Usually don't take long. God is so good.

Blessings to all
toria

Hello

I'm getting interested in a Girl in Church, please pray that God will grant me some good opportunities to talk with her in a natural way. And lead and guide me in this.

Mwh, praying for you. God will guide you and prepare you and your future wife for each other. He will direct you as you give this relationship to Him!

Toria, thank you for the report. Praise God for the hope of good results and for His sustaining you by His power for these past nine months. Am I understanding correctly that the chemo they said you could have is a treatment they think may affect the cancer that you have which has been present but "halted" for the past nine months?

Keep us posted. You remain in my prayers.

Colleen, thank you again for your prayers.

I have had a lot of chemo over the past 4+ years. On about the 15th. treatment I had a very bad reaction to Corboplatin, one of the chemo drugs. I had built up a resistance to it.
In place of it, they used another called Cisplatin (same family).
After a while, I could not tolerate that one either. Next they tried something called Caelyx.
After two treatments of that they had to stop as my body was taking a very bad beating from the side-effects.
Then came several weeks of Radiation treatments.
That seems to have helped. That were also my last treatments. Now my oncologist thinks I may benefit from this new chemo treatment (I do not know the name yet) if I can wait another few months before I need it. She says that the cancer will never really go away anymore, but we can try to keep it controlled enough for me to have as 'normal' a life as possible.
The cancer has put some restrictions on my life, but my spirit is still intact. I can still do a lot of things I always did (just takes longer).

In the beginning, I gave this whole thing to God. I have left it with Him. He helps me through the rough days, and He gives me lots of good days. I give Him praise and thanks always.
I also appreciate that people on this forum pray for me.
Blessings to all

Toria, I have been praying for you regularly, and will continue. You were really in my prayers this morning on my prayer walk!

I remembered that you sent an email to me, to forward to Carol, when she was so critical in the hospital. I didnt know what you were facing then, and am so thankful that you have the type of heart that God can use--One who can reach out to others in the midst of your own pain. You are such a witness to me.

I will continue to pray. Email me if you would like me to ever pray with you over the phone.
