Please pray for my mom. Today she is 70. She's in a hospital bed facing the very real possibility of losing at least part of her foot. She's so scared. It's so hard to find a blessing at times like this. To make it worse, the roads are iced. Most of the schools are closed. Some businesses are closed. Driving isn't the safest thing right now. Pray for the doctors as they make their decisions, but mostly pray for her. Pray that God will hold her close and let her know that through it all, He is there with her.

Thanks.

Praying.

Do I understand correctly that it's her birthday today? If so, here's hoping for some rays of hope and joy on her birthday!

Thanks for the prayers.

Yes, Mary, today is her 70th birthday. Not a very fun way to spend the day. We're going to head that way in a while.

The snow/sleet let up several hours ago, so hopefully the roads are clear. All you cold weather people are probably laughing at us, but we don't get much freezing precipitation, in any form, at all here in Texas and when we do we just shut down. It's much safer that way! Snow tires tend to rot when you only use them every five years or so!

Thank you for the continued prayers. The roads really weren't bad at all. They did a bone scan on her foot/leg late yesterday to see if the infection is in the bone. We're waiting on the results from that. The surgery decisions will be made once the test results are in. Again, thank you for your prayers.

I have refrained from asking for prayer, because i have really been
devastated over all that has happened to me. as many of you know, i
took my mother in over a year ago, because my dad had gone to prison
and my mom lost the house. since then, i have moved 3 times, for
various reasons, including the threat of black mold making my mom
very ill. i was also fired from my long-time employer in october.
after i had gotten my dad from the half way house and helped him
secure his first job, i turned the house over to my parents. but,
after about a month, stemming from a disagreement, my parents put me
out. i had been homeless (sleeping in my car, friends' houses and
motels) for about a week and i was in a car accident! i just got my
first job (McDonald's) after four months and i am behind on my car
payments. a friend open his home to me, and so i have a safe place
to rest my head, but i feel so helpless. i am asking for prayer for
strength and for an increase in my faith. i have more financial
needs than anything and my family and i are definately no longer
close. i have forgiven them, i can sort of see God's plan, so i am
no longer bitter - just really broke. and after being used by my
parents since i got my first job at 12, i am depleted of trust.
please pray for me. i go to orientation @ McDonald's tonight and i
start tomorrow. a friend asked me if i was really that desperate and
i told her, i have no choice - i have to pay my bills, so i have no
pride. i have no pride. i no longer shake my fists at the heavens
screaming WHY ME???? I now kneel in prayer asking God "What would
You have me do?" it's all about perspective. if the Lord had not've
brought me out from under my parents - they would be using me still -
right now and He saved me from that, so if for nothing else than
that, i am grateful. Thank you for reading this and thank you for
your prayers.

Taybie/Shontay, I am so sorry to hear about your hardships but as you said,"it's all about perspectives." Please know I am praying for you. Eph 3:20.

To everyone who place prayer requests here, I'd like you to know, I do lift every request up to the Lord as I read them and afterwards, sometimes.
Although I do not post responses to individual requests, I want all to know I pray always for you especially when I hear your hearts' cries here on the forum.

Kim
Praying for your mom that the tests results will be good, and she will have healing.
Taybie
My heart goes out to you. I will join others in keeping you in prayer.

To all who pray for me, thank you. Yesterday I got my last tests results back. The results were not as good as hoped. Some lymp nodes are swollen, and blood test (CA 125 marker) jumped from 127 to over 300. It all means that things are moving again. I am scheduled for more tests in the near future, after which my options will be discussed. My thoughts are all over the place. Am holding on tight to that nail-scarred hand.
Blessings to all

Taybie and Toria,
I prayed for you both after I read your requests. I have put you on my prayer list and will continue to pray for you.
God is holding both of you and will not let go.
He is always awesome.

Taybie, praying for you, too.

Toria, I am so sorry. I will pray for God's will, for His peace in your heart, and for His direction for treatment. I am thanking Him for halting your cancer for so long, and I pray He wil sustain you. I pray He will be glorified in you continually and that your husband will come to trust Him fully.
