Hi All
It seems lately that when ever I post it is in this section, looking for prayer.
I know how powerful prayer is and know that prayer requested on this forum is taken to the Father by many prayer warriors.

I have a prayer request for my sister-in-law Olivia.
She has been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and is to start chemo treatments on the 24th of this month. She is the forth member of our family to need chemo in the past five years. We have lost a brother and another sister-in-law (two of the four) to cancer.
Please keep my family in prayer as we travel through this latest valley.

Blessings to all

Thank you all.
Olivia, wife and heart of my youngest brother, is in her early 40's, and has 2 young teenagers.
I feel so helpless.
I am truly greatful for this forum. Somehow, you all seem like family. I feel I can come here to pray/talk through those difficult times.

Thank you again for your prayers and for being there.
Blessings

I put a post in the Discussion section about a "Revelation Brings Peace" seminar that is being held in my city starting tomorrow night. Everyone in the city received a brochure in the mail and there is no indication on the brochure that it is SDA. Would appreciate your prayers for protection for unsuspecting people who may attend not knowing all the hidden doctrines that come with this church. I am praying that the Lord will give them a sense that this is not Biblically correct.

My dad passed away last Wednesday, after a long battle with parkinson's. The funeral was delayed until Tuesday due to Easter. Many of you have prayed for him and my family thru many surgeries and crises re his illness. I am so grateful to all of you for your prayers.

Im more grateful to God for bringing me into truth and into deeper relationship with Him, prior to my dad's death. I got to share many dear times with my dad in the last two years, talking of Jesus and Heaven and salvation etc.

Dont know fully what I believe about soul sleep etc, havent really studied that out well. But I know dad was saved, and was assured of his salvation. I know eternity I will be with him.

Please continue to pray for me, my son who was close to his grandpa, and my mom, and all the family. We are grieving hard.

Praying Lori,
Father in Heaven, You are our Father and I ask you right not to hold Lori, her son and all her family in your arms and let them know that you are with them. Thank you that her Father was saved. That is so reassuring. Keep them close to you while they grieve.
You are always awesome.

Lori,

I'm so sorry, I know you are glad he isn't suffering anymore.

Eccl. says our body goes into the ground and spirit returns to God. I'd be glad to share my studies with you when you're ready. I think it's so comforting to know we aren't in limbo somewhere.

Love ya girl!

Lori,

Sorry to hear about your dad. Thanks for sharing with us as you and yours grieve. May your Heavenly Father hold you and keep you...know that you are not alone.

I wanted to find a a word or two from the Bible; didn't have to search as I opened to the book of 2 Timothy and the verse highlighted was 2 Timothy 4:6-8:

"My life is being given as an offering to God, and the time has come for me to leave this life. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now, a crown is being held for me---a crown for being right with God. The Lord, the judge who judges rightly, will give the crown to me on that day --- not only to me but to all those who have waited with love for him to come again."

It's great you know your dad was assured of his salvation.

Psalm 34:17,18: The Lord hears good people when they cry out to him, and he saves them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and he saves those whose spirits have been crushed.

Thank you all so much for praying. It is encouraging. Thanks for the emails and calls also.

I recieved flowers from someone from the forum I have never even met--thank you N. The note said, "I am with you in Spirit", and was a great comfort. That is no longer just a phrase, but has new meaning and experience attached. We are able to be One in the Spirit, even when we are apart, and what a blessing in such a time of deep grief. No wonder this unity is mentioned so often in scripture.

My FAF friend J. blessed me by coming to the viewing. That was a tremendous support. God let us meet as a result of this forum, and having someone use the work "KNOW" instead of "HOPE" when talking of my fathers future with Jesus was sweet.

Thanks for the texts Olga. Perfect. Later, Sabra, I will want those notes. Maybe you could start a thread!

Hugs,
Lori
