A friend of mine called this morning to ask for prayer. He has a mass that could be cancer, and will be seeing the doctor at 1:30 pm (PDT) today. Please pray for him.

Richard, I am and will continue to pray for your friend.

I just got home a few hours ago. I want to thank you all for your prayers.
I have to return to the cancer clinic next thursday. I will get the results of tests done over the past few days. I will also have to meet with a pain management team, and start chemo. That were the words of my oncologist this morning. She says it will be a full day for me. No kidding...
For some reason I am not afraid. But please keep me in your prayers that I have strength to do what needs doing. And if I may ask, please keep my husband in prayer. He needs it more than I do as he does not have a relationship with Jesus.
He respects my beliefs, but does not share them.

Blessings to all

Thank you Mary, Toria, and Diana for your prayers for my friend. He had good news from his doctor--there seems to be only an extremely remote chance that the mass is malignant!

Toria, I am also praying for you and your husband. I imagine that your husband is watching you in amazement that you are not afraid.

Toria, I've been wondering how your trip turned out. I am sorry that you have to go back and start chemo...I will continue to pray, though, for you and also for your husband, that he will come to know Jesus.

As Richard said, I'm sure he is watching you with amazement and perhaps even pangs of conviction.

You are inspiring to me, and I do pray for God to hold your heart and to fill you full of His life, peace, and power.

I'm so glad you're part of our FAF family.

This is an update on my request for prayers for my friend's mother. Thanks for you many, continued prayers.
Cathy appreciates your prayers.
Diana

"Just thought you'd like to know that my mom had her PET scan on Monday, and we got the results this morning. The bad news is that yes, she does have lung cancer (we already knew that) but the good news is many-fold.
1) it's the less-aggressive type of lung cancer,
2) the mass is probably smaller than originally thought, because of interference from infection, swelling, etc.
3) it hasn't spread,
4) she may POSSIBLY turn out to be a candidate for surgery once the chemo and radiation have had a chance to shrink the tumor.

If she is a candidate for surgery, this will improve her chances for a long-term outlook, so please keep those thoughts and prayers coming! They certainly seem to have worked so far. "

Toria,

I'll be praying for you and your husband. Sometimes I think we should just praise God for good news whenever it comes and just trust him for the parts we don't understand. It's easy to say, but I truly believe that our lives are in His hands and that He will never leave us.

Richard,

I'll be praying for your friend. Thanks for being such a friend to so many of us.

Diana,

I will certainly be praying for your mom! I'm glad the cancer hasn't spread.

Diana, I'm praying now for your friend's mom. How wonderful for the more positive-looking prognosis.

Jeremy, praying for you.

Bob, I agree with you; our lives are in His hands, and we need to be thankful for good news whenever it occurs. The Biblical command is to give thanks in all things, and to let our requests be made know by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving.

Jeremy, I am praying for you also.
Matt. 28:19 tells us..... "And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
God is always awesome.

Richard, Praising God for your friend's good news.

Diana, Praying for your friend's mom that surgery will be possible and successful.

Jeremy, Praying for your physical health, and also praying Eph. 6:13-18, that God will protect you.

Bob, I do agree that we are in His hands. Knowing that gives me great comfort. I give Him praise for all things. I may not always understand why some things happen, but I know that He is in control and my trust is in Him.

An update on my sister-in-law, Olivia. She has had her second chemo treatment, and is responding well. The outlook is REALLY good.

As Diana would say, Our God is truly awesome.

Colleen, I am also very happy to be part of this FAF family. I hope one day you guys will know how much you have helped and inspired me over the past couple of years.

Blessings to all
Toria

Please pray for my family and I. My father has only one more scheduled chemotherapy treatment. We're hoping this will be all he needs.

And also please pray that God will continue to give me clarity and comfort in various issues and situations that face my children and I.

Thanks so much!!

Blessings,

Mary
