Wendy and Steve:

There is nothing more powerful than a praying spouse and mates can do what they will to you, but who will pray for their salvation more than the spouse who is being treated unfairly. The world says to dump the spouse, we pray that they will be saved. You cannot change their behaviour towards you or altar their decisions, but find someone who will pray passionately with you for their soul and just wait upon the Lord and He will give you the ability to wait for your spouse to be convicted of their sin. Sondralh,

No one is saying that we should not pray for a spouse, but there is nothing that says we HAVE to stay with them while we do in cases like this.

I would like everybody to pray for the leadership
of the Seventhday Adventist Church.
Pray that God would awake and remove the veils and
to give courage and conviction to those in the
Church. Remember God called Paul the Pharacies
of Pharacies out of Judizm and God in more then
abel to do it with the SDA Church

Hello fellow formers! I've been out of commission for a couple of months. I've tried to periodically check into this site. When I returned from a recent trip there were over 700 FAF posts on my e-mail! Anyway, I continue to keep you all in my prayers.
Our Maryland FAF group is going well. Please keep us in your prayers. The past two months we've had the pleasure of welcoming 5 new people (4 formers and a local pastor with an interest in Adventism). This may not seem like great numbers to some of you, but our group started out with 4 people. We are just so happy that God would send anyone to our group! Each time we meet it's such a blessing and I strongly believe that God is at work with FAF. I will continue to pray for our "Big Sister" group in CA, and for all the other formers out there. May the unity we have in Jesus Christ, bring us together in a spirit of love.
Your sister in Christ, Susan

My heart goes out to you Wendy in your situation. I am so sorry that a minister of the "Word" will not stand up to Tom's sin. I pray you are getting much support from family, friends, and your church, and most importantly from God as your Comforter, and Faithful Husband. Thank you for sharing your heartache with us.

Prayer request: I sent my folks the story of a man who left the church. They were shooken by it and are studying their Bibles like crazy. Pray for them please. My father works for the Conference too so he realizes the decisions weighed here will bear in weight to his job too. Thanks! Sherry

Sherry2, I'll certainly keep your parents in my prayers. Praise God they're frazzled! This might be a sign that God is at work in them. I know for myself (and others) the process out started with a little sign of error. Then the whole house of cards started falling! I also believe that the personal stories and testimonies have a special and unique impact on people. Having all the evidence and facts of how Adventists doctrines are unbiblical, didn't touch my heart the way the stories did (and still do). How wonderful that your parents are looking to the bible for answers!
Are you in Maryland? We have a FAF group in Montgomery County. Let me know if you are and would like more info. In Christ Alone, Susan

Hi All,

A friend of mine, Tony, will be having open heart surgery next week. Any operation like this needs an extra prayer. What's cool is, Tony is a Christian!

I will pray for your friend, Maryann.

Everyone, I'm asking for special prayer for my home situation. Sometimes I wonder what effect other's prayers for us have... I know for myself that prayer changes me and I can't even 'live' without it. For me, prayer is "the breath in our lungs and the blood from our hearts" (Oswald Chambers)

And yet, when circumstances seem overwhelming, I sometimes (often!) forget to remember that God answers prayer every time, the best way, and in His own time...

Grace always,
Cindy

Cindy, I will continue to pray for you and for your family.

This last school year several times different people told me quite unexpectedly that they had been praying for me at school. I was overwhelmed, and I realized that their prayers were probably a big part of the reason I had been able to keep calm and peaceful during some pretty stressful situationsóincluding some really tense situations with students and parents.

Remember that nothing touches us that doesn't first come through the filter of God's love. He wastes nothing, and he redeems everything we submit to Him!

With prayers and praise,
Colleen

Request all FAFO (Former Adventist Fellowship Onliners) pray for Gary Inrig, pastor of Trinity Evangelical Free Church, Redlands, California, right under the shadow of Loma Linda. Reason: He and his church have provided a place for our local FAF to meet in his church every Friday evening (7:00) for a year now. And he has allowed us to print the time and place of our meetings in Trinity's weekly bulletin. The problem is that he is under pressure to either withdraw the privilege of using Trinity's premises or to drop "Adventist" from our name. So far he has defended us and our mission to share the real, liberating gospel with our Adventist and former Adventist friends in this area. But he needs our prayers to continue on. So, won't you join me in praying for him and thus upholding his hands in this vital misson.

Max, I will remember him and this situation in my prayers. Is the pressure coming from his church or the Adventist's in the community? (Maybe you are not free to comment further...)

Welcome back!

Grace Always,
Cindy

WELL, THIS THREAD HAS BEEN NEGLECTED FOR FAR TOO LONG. THIS REQUEST IS FOR MY DOG TOBY. WE JUST GOT HIM THREE DAYS AGO. HE IS MY CHILDREN'S FIRST CHANCE TO HAVE A DOG. HE IS A PUREBRED SHELTIE(MINI COLLIE) AND I WAS HIS BREEDER TEN YEARS AGO. HIS OWNER JUST GAVE HIM BACK TO ME BECAUSE SHE COULDN'T CARE FOR HIM ANYMORE. MY KIDS LOVE HIM DEARLY AND SO DO I. ANYWAY, MY NEIGHBOR WAS WATCHING MY CHILDREN TONIGHT FOR A FEW MINUTES AND LEFT THE DOOR OPEN AND TOBY RAN AWAY. MY KIDS ARE GOING TO BE DEVASTATED. WOULD YOU ALL PRAY THAT THE LORD WILL SEND AN ANGEL OUT TO FIND TOBY AND LEAD HIM HOME. I CAN'T STAND THINKING OF THE HEARTBREAK MY KIDS ARE GOING TO GO THROUGH. THANKS FOR YOUR PRAYERS ALL.

GOD BLESS,
WENDY
