Wendy, I'm praying for Toby. There's nothing more devastating than a pet disappearing (besides something happening to your family itself!)

We have a collie and a sheltie, and they are part of the family. Richard and I nearly left a trip to a convention two days early a few years ago when our kids called and said our collie had disappeared. We were all praying, and we were ready to pack up our things and leave, when we called home. Smokey had just walked into the yard.

Let us know about Toby.

Wendy, My heart goes out to you. Time is of essence. If you have not already done so, contact the Humane Society, Police, Animal Control and APA (Animal Protective Association) in your area. Put flyers on every corner in your neighborhood, even go door to door. Is there a Sheltie Rescue Association in your area? They will usually help if possible. I have four shelties and would be devastated if anything happened to any one of them. My sincere and heartfelt prayers are with you and Toby. If I can help in anyway contact me through the webmaster.

In His Grace,
Sara

Wendy, I'll certainly keep your doggie in my prayers. I too am a dog lover and unfortunately know the fear of having a run-away. Thank God mine was rescued but I know that awful feeling of worry. They really become like a family member.

Chyna, you poor dear! Of course I'll pray for you. I know all to well the heartache associated with a break-up. It's devastating to lose a connection with someone you love so much. Sadly we often experience the stress in our bodies. I had a bad break-up many years ago with a fellow I was engaged to. I wasn't a Christian at the time and I started to drown my sorrows in wild living (drinking and drugs). Anyway, God showered his love on me and rescued me from that destructive life. I eventually met a very nice fellow who was a Christian (we ended up married!). God really new best in my situation and I'm sure He has his hand on you through all of this turmoil.

Love in Christ, Susan

Hi Everyone,

I have a friend named Betty who needs prayer. She has severe financial problems and needs prayer for strength and help supporting her two boys. She has just left an abusive marriage and would appreciate your prayers.

God Bless,
Wendy

Don't mean to snivel but I could stand some prayer.
About a year and a half ago I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. This was actually a blessing as it forced me to pay attention to my health and has not, thus far, caused any severe problems.
I also received a promotion at work which was also a blessing but increased my work load. This coupled with a loss of manpower kept me pretty busy.
Also during this time I began seriously contemplating the things that this forum was made for. Confusion and doubt about the denomination was causing more agitation in my life, (heart), than peace. Again, this was probably a blessing.
However, during this time I became totally self absorbed. At first prayer and study just seemed to dwindle with intermittent spurts of zeal but for the last several months my prayer life, (closet time), and study have been non-existent.
I feel as though I lost much ground and am worse off than before our Savior found me, because now I know the difference.
I miss my time with God badly and yet I don't seem to do anything about it. Sure He's on my mind a lot but as we all know, that doesn't quite cut it. I also find that the longer I go with out seeking His face, the easier it is to explain away sin. I'm headed for a crash, big time, if I don't allow God to turn this around for me.
I know in the end it is totally up to me, however, I ask, (plead), that I be lifted up in prayer on this life & death matter.
Also it is time to let my former pastor know that I want to withdraw my membership from the SDA church. Please pray God to strengthen me and to lead me to a church home of His choosing.
Thank you brothers & sisters. Thank you Jesus.
Much love & prayers.
Pat.

Patrick, of course we'll pray for you.

Remember Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to propser you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Christ will be your courage, and the amazing thing is that He seems to multiply your time and energy when you dedicate time to him.

With prayer for you,
Colleen

Patrick, I'll certainly keep you in prayer! It's not easy to break free from Adventism. You are facing spiritual warfare. But Christ will prevail in your life, if you keep your eyes on him alone!

Wendy, Ill also pray for Betty. She's lucky to have you for a friend. I truly hope that she and her kids will find a better life.

In Christ,Susan

Friends,
I would like to ask your help in praying for my next-door neighbor's son. He is the age of my children, and was in a severe car accident 2 weeks ago. He suffered burns over 45% of his body, has been unconscious until yesterday. I can only imagine the pain this family is suffering at this time. I could give you the details, but you can find them all first hand at a website that has been set up for him.
The URL is www.benjaminjones.org. His mother is a very sweet and loving woman, devout Catholic, who goes to the dog pound regularly to rescue dogs from euthanasia. She keeps them in her house and tries to find homes for them. She also has thyroid cancer and has to take intense radiation once a year wherein she must be totally isolated from all human contact for two weeks. They have certainly had their troubles, and now this one is almost unbearable. There is a place on the website to post your thoughts, your prayers. I would be grateful if you could take a moment to remember this family in your prayers.

God bless,
Patti

Patti, what a tragedy. I would be happy to keep them in prayer! I also have a dear friend who is sruggling with cancer, and an overwheming amount of family crisies. She isn't a Chritian though. Sometimes it's hard for her to make any sense of life or God, in the midst of such trouble. I'll pray that your friend's faith in God will sustain her.

In Christ,
Susan

My request seems insignificant in contrast to the above. I'm saying a prayer for them.

Please remember my daughter's boyfriend who has just been diagnosed with cancer. Pray that whatever is God's will...will bring Glory to His Name.

Thank you

Patti,
Please tell your neighbor that we are praying for her son. I have to trust God to heal him first spiritually, that he may live forever and know Jesus Christ as his saviour and then be healed physically. I cried as I read the site. This world is so fast and full of pain. I am very thankful for Jesus and the peace He gives. I have come to the conclusion that I don't have to understand but just trust and let God be God. Delstar and Susan we are praying for your loved ones also.

I received an email from my daughter tonight and she says the following:

"I really appreciate what you all are doing and It
helps alot to know that there is prayer all over
for him. I will let him know and I will keep you
informed on what goes on. His surgery is set
for friday the 25th. they will be removing his
thyroid and he will be on medication the rest of
his life. He will be going through some other
treatment but not sure at this point since we just
found out sunday."

My daughter is not a believer and as I have told her and others, I pray that God will perform in his life so that she can have no doubt that it is Jesus.

Thank you so very much for your prayers. I'm praying for these others also.

Jesus Is Enough

Dear friends,
I am asking you to drop everything and remember Ben Jones and his family (my neighbors) in your prayers. He has taken a severe turn for the worse; the doctors are saying that it is truly touch and go right now. His vital systems are starting to shut down. I spent the afternoon with his mother, and she is outwardly strong, but is very concerned about her husband who has not left the hospital since the accident. Please join me in prayer for these children of God who are suffering.

Grace and peace,
Patti
