Toria,

You will be in my prayers.

My wife also went through chemo and a stem cell transplant in December 2006 for bone marrow cancer. Oct 2002, she was given 1-4 years. We have been doing a combination of conventional and diet/juices (see more below). God gets the credit for all the rest. She is currently in remission and doing very well. Her lab values are the best they have been in years. We have a new appreciation for each day, and each other.

[There are some foods that encourage cancer, and others that inhibit it. The Gerson Program is considered a role model. (http://remnantprophecy.sdaglobal.org/Librarypdf/Health/Gerson%20Therapy.pdf) Albert Schweitzer considered Gerson to be a genius.

We found that that conventional therapy was an essential part of "treating" cancer, but it also places a heavy chemical load on the body -- especially the liver. Good nutrition, vitamins and enzymes, are critical to assisting the body in fighting the cancer, and eliminating toxic chemical byproducts of chemotherapy and radiation so it can recover. For an adult, taking in enough liquids so they excrete at least 3 liters a day is essential for flushing poisons out of the liver.

The saliva ph of people with cancer tends to be 5-6 (acid). 7 (neutral) is healthiest for fighting cancer. Alkaline foods are best for fighting cancer. A "cancer-hostile" diet is so important, and most oncologists don't seem to know much about diet. The amazing thing is that when you take your pet to a vet, the first thing they will ask is what you feed your pet!]

Words are so limiting ...

Toria, thank you for being open with us. I can so imagine your sadness and the heaviness you face.

Dear Father, I pray that Jesus will be very real to Toria, that she will feel His strength and love and deep peace. Please hold her in peace as she waits for the results of her tests. Please give her strength to endure the chemo treatment, and give her wisdom to know Your will. Thank you for her and for the blessing she is to us. Thank you for holding her in Your hand where nothing can snatch her away. In Jesus' name, Amen

I have been and will continue to pray for you and your husband, dear Toria.

Toria, my mother is in the same spot. Just finished several weeks of radiation/chemo and will have a scan in a couple of weeks to see if it did anything. I hope you are not as sick as she has been through it all. I will pray for your spirits. I can't imagine the emotional drain on top of the physical and financial.

On my front, the air got on around 11 pm and an unexpected shower came up which has really cooled it off outside...though it was nice the rain waited until all the outside work was done. It can only help my house cool off all the quicker. And that weird leak on the washer went away too...How cool is that!? Some of the other stuff is still in partial state of repair, but the average visitor won't notice. I guess we'll see what tomorrow brings in cooler surroundings!

Thanks for your prayers!

Melissa, how did it go with the home study?

Toria, I always keep you in prayer, I pray for healing. I pray for strength and peace for you and those you love.

Stan, I am praying re you and Marti. I'm sorry to hear of another setback.

Hi Nicole, how is the nursing going? I remember that agony and difficulty in the beginning. My girlfriend and I went to the La Leche League, and these 4-5 year olds were walking up saying "mom, I am ready to nurse", lifting their mothers blouses, and nursing during the meeting! We were horrified--left and never went back. We figured if they could speak in complete sentences, it was time to quit nursing! I'm sure someone will disagree, but it makes me laugh to remember how horrified we were.

My friend was able to nurse her first child, but not her 2nd for whatever reason. It was hard for her. My son stopped abruptly at six months, and it broke my heart. Prayers that you have sweet feeding time with your child quickly, in whatever manner.

Hi, Lori. It's hard to guage what the evaluator was thinking. It was a 4-hour visit with only about 20-30 minutes with the boys. The rest was questions for me. It was really hard to know what she was asking some things for or if I got the answer right. At least it seems over now. They may have a third meeting and may just write the report from the visits to date.

Thanks for asking. How are you?

Hello All;
Thank you all so much for the prayers and support.
And thank you Gilbert for the link to the Gerson Program and for the information on alkaline foods. I did not know that. We have been watching my diet and trying to eat healthy, but I can see where we can make some changes. I am happy to hear that your wife is doing so well, and I pray that she continues so.

When I received my treatment on thursday past, I was mistakenly given a lot more chemo than I was supposed to get. An apparent mix-up at the pharmacy. It was not discovered until too late. Now I have to have blood work every few days for the next while, as my counts were already on the low side. They are also keeping a watch on my kidneys.
It took a little more out of me, but I am ok.

Again, thanks for being there.
You are all in my prayers.

Blessings

Toria,
Words cannot express my disappointment about the mixup in the chemo dosage. At times like these I have to remind myself of the promise in Romans 8:28

quote:

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,[a] who[b] have been called according to his purpose.

I wil be praying for your recover, and that the Lord will minimize the adverse effects of your chemo treatment.

Toria, I'm sorry to hear about the chemo mix-up. Have you heard of RM-10? It can be very helpful with the blood counts, etc. while on chemotherapy. You can find out more at this link.

Praying for you,
Jeremy

Hi all,

Dale Ratzlaff could sure use our prayers today as he meets with a special group of people who could turn into supporters of his ministry in a LARGE way. I am not sure what time they meet, but keep him and his ministry in your prayers. Thank you.

I thought I would give an update on my aunt (as of yesterday, at least). She has improved, and seems to have come out of the semi-coma that she was in, and has been talking and seems to be getting stronger. Praise God! She does have a non-invasive type of ventilator, but I guess they didn't think she could handle a normal ventilator due to her heart problems, etc.

Your prayers for her continued improvement are appreciated.
