Dear brothers and sisters in Christ:

I'm having surgery tomorrow at 10:30 (EST) and would ask for your prayers. The Lord has been so good to me in this whole getting surgery approved and scheduled thing, and I know he won't let me down now. Please pray for my family. I'm approaching this surgery with a peace that only comes from trusting in the Lord, but my family is a basket case. Thanks so much!

Praying, Lucy, for you and your family. And Toria, when is your follow-up exam? I'm praying for you, too.

Hi Colleen;
My next exam and possibly chemo treatment happens on Sept. 6th.

Thank you for the prayers. As I believe I mentioned earlier, knowing that people are praying gives me courage and energy during difficult moments.

Blessings
Toria

My children's adopted nana has agreed to go to the local community bible study this year with me. We will be studying Proverbs, Eccles., and pastoral letters. I know in the SDA church she attends there is no Bible study that occurs. She always complains that she doesn't get anything out of the service. Please pray that God will open her heart and she will see the beautiful truth of the gospel.

Busymom,
I have prayed for her and will continue to pray for her.
Another prayer request from me. Remember my friend who is studying the Bible in a group let by a retired SDA minister. She asked me to go with her tomorrow(Thursday, Sept 6) and after praying about it I said yes I would go. Pray for me that God puts the words in my mouth at all times.

Diana, I am praying about the situation with your friend. I am praying you will have the wisdom to know the right course of action and the right words to say.

Hi Toria,
I am praying. How did your exam go?

Busymom, I went to Community Bible Study for six years while SDA. It confused me--they were the most Godly women I had ever met, and they werent SDA! God used that to open my eyes. Instead of "witnessing" to those "sunday keepers", God used them to share His love and the Gospel with me, and God himself "witnessed" to me through His Spirit to the truth in His word.

I will pray for truth to break in for nana, and more for you as well!

God I pray for Busymom children's nana, that you will talk to her about the truth, guide her with your Spirit and embrace her with your never ending love. I ask you to work through Busymom and her children as well, put your words in their mouth and fill them with your love so that they might be shining examples of your faithfulness, love and power. Thy will be done Lord, in the name of Christ Jesus, I pray, amen.

Busymom;
Praying that your children's nana will come to the freedom and truth found in Jesus.

Lori;
My exam went well. My 125CA marker (bloodtest that shows cancer present) went from 443 down to 129. That is really good news. The two new tumors - one in my groin area shrank considerably, and the one in my lower chest area did not shrink; but did not get bigger. More good news.
My blood levels look good also, so I am continuing treatments for two more cycles. They think my body can handle that much. After that more tests, and if/when things start to move again, they plan to give me more radiation instead of chemo.
Prayer is powerful and is being answered in my situation. God is so good. I praise Him and give Him thanks for my life.

Blessings to All
Toria

Thank you All;
The news was better than we expected. Maby that mix-up with the chemo did me some good. (Romans 8:28). I am just very greatful and praising God for His faithfulness.
Tomorrow I return to the clinic for chemo on Thursday. That will be the last of this cycle. One more cycle in October and I will be able to stay home for a while. For which I also give thanks.

Blessings
Toria
