Please pray for my family, that they will find their rest in Jesus, not in a day of the week.

please pray for the families who have left the church, but have not felt comfort in finding another church. There is so much man doctrine coming out now, that it seems safer to just stay away from them. Pray for the Sunday churches to stop focusing on the 7th day issue too. They too are preaching the 10 commandments and the importance of the 7th day Sabbath.

Prayer of Surrender

I surrender my family and my heritage to you, Father;
I surrender my past teachings to you, Father;
I surrender my Adventism to you, Father;
I surrender the law to you, Father;
I surrender the Sabbath to you, Father,
As you are now my perpetual rest.
I surrender the pride Iíve felt about being Adventist to you, Father.

Illuminate these dark places in my soul and heart
So they will shine more fully with your glory,
And so Satan will have no place there.
Keep me humble, in full honor and remembrance
Of what Jesus Christ did for me,
For he is my joy and my salvation.

In Jesusí name I pray.
Amen.

I pray also for a rest in Jesus and not in a day of the week. Pray that my existing family (SDA's)members will love me and my husband unconditionally and that God will soften their hearts and through love and patience they can become more willing to see what we have seen and eager to see God through a different light instead of EGW and the Sabbath. Help me to put away any grieviousness against them and to focus on you Lord. You said you would be with us always even to the end. Take away any fear that still surfaces and replace it with confidence of being saved by grace and that alone. Thank you for loving me. In Jesus name I pray, AMEN

Please pray for me, as I plan to begin a fomer adventist support/fellowship group in the fall. I pray this group will be a place of refuge for those who are struggling. I pray that God will send people who are willing and ready to find TRUTH. I'm very scared to pursue this, but I feel a strong calling in my heart. I'm having many doubts. But I know that if it's God's will, then it will all work out.

Please pray for me and my family to heal. (Miracles solicited and gratefully received.)

I will pray for all who post and lurk here.

I feel drawn to pray for a powerful Adventist Recovery Movement. There are so many of us.

Thanks.

On August 9'th, please pray for my little sister, Sherry in Colorado. She is having someone cut into her head to take out something that has her very frightened. Though I've known her for a long time, I have only come to really know her recently and I love her a whole lot. Like us, she has discovered the Gospel after a life of legalism. Like us, she still has the doubts, sometimes. I have sent her this site, and she says she will be checking in from time to time.

She truly loves Jesus and believes in the power of prayer. The prayer of His believers, in His name is powerful. I think you for your prayers, in advance. And I thank Him for answering.

His Will Be Done!

Am so thankful for this site. I have read most your alls statements and prayers and can relate to a lot of you. I too need prayer. I have been out of the SDA Church a long time and have continued to read literature to keep me close to God. I have thought about another church but it is frightening, as Karen said they are preaching the 10 commandments and the keeping of a day. Legalism all over again. I know many of you have answered me about this, and am praying about what to do. I stay close to Jesus with Bible study and prayer. I will pray for this site to continue that we find support in each other. Thank you God for your love to us all in Jesus

I pray for all of you who read this site and request prayer, because several of us meet and will take this list in prayer. But most of all, we pray that each of you will focus in on the Big Picture which is simply our Christ and let everything else go, the day, the church, the ten commandments, EGW. Yes, other churches are legalistic regarding Sunday but you can be an individual in Christ and let Him lay on your heart what He needs to deal with...for all of us it is a different set of guidelines individualized by the Holy Spirit. When Christ is your best friend and He lives deep within your soul, the idea that I would need a time to think on Him that is special and the other six days are not is unbelievable to me! I cannot be without Him
and pray constantly to Him all day long. I pray that you dive into the word and dive into prophecy which is 2/3 of the Bible as all those other issues fall by the wayside. We all have the basic same families that are blind, but we were once blind too and Christ chose us...be patient and pray, pray, pray! Sondra

Please pray for me. I have been asked to have the scripture reading at my niece's wedding. I want to choose the right scripture for them. One that would go deep into their hearts and touch them for the Lord. They are not interested in "God" and I love them so much. They met in a bar and have a 3 year old and are living together.

Any suggestions??? The wedding is Aug. 14.

I have been praying for you all. God Bless you

I like Lynn's suggestion above. Also, here's 2 John 5-6: I ask that we love one another. And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.

I also want to tell Thomas and his sister Sherry (who's having brain surgery on Monday, right?) that we prayed for her at our Friday evening meeting last night. In fact, we brought this whole Prayer page and prayed for everyone here.

I praise God for this web site, and I ask him each day to keep it Spirit-filled and to bless each person who comes here. Your posts and your honesty are blessings to me.

Father God, you have heard the cry of Thomas' heart for the healing of his sister. Lord I pray that you will enter into that situation and even now that your healing touch will come on her and that the problem will be corrected before the day of surgery. Father, I ask that you would move in such a miraculous way through Sherry's situation and her attitude towards what is happening that this will be a witness of your great and powerful love at work in her life. Use this time to open the eyes of any of the family who are still unsaved that they may recognize your loving character. And Father, please give Sherry and Thomas the deep peace that comes from knowing that ALL is in your hands. Thank you Lord, for being the one who not only saves us, but cares about every moment of our lives.

Thomas,
I am taking your prayer request to church today. I want you and Sherry to know that we are praying for her. Praying that God would heal her and give her trust and peace in Him. Also for the Dr.'s and for the ones who will be involved in her care that no harm would come to her.

"The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid." Ps. 27

"But for you who fear my name the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings:"... Mal.4:2

I'v read that the wings means kawnaw: an edge or extremity, an edge of a garment, bird, border. And that the woman in Matt. 14:46 knew this prophecy and knew if she but touched the edge of his cloak she would be healed. Its the same meaning. Jesus heals. She was healed of her bleeding problem.

May God be in control of Sherry's situation.

Lord I pray for the men of the Adventist Church
who know there are real serious problems within
the church and yet do not make a stand because
they are affraid of the consequences of that
decision. I pray that you give them courage to
become disciples for you! That you give them
wisdom and comfort to know what your will is.
