Cathy,

Both my sister, and a close friend of mine had false positives as well. We will pray for a positive outcome and for endurance through the waiting period.

Martin,

I am praying for your country and the Muslims there specifically. My adoptive mother is Danish, so I have a special place in my heart for Denmark. (And an ebelskiver pan in my kitchen - I may have already mentioned that!)

Hi All;
Well it's that time again. I am off to the clinic for my 3-month run of tests and meeting with my oncologist (March 3-5). I was supposed to travel on sunday, but must leave tomorrow as on sunday we are expecting a bad winter storm and I want to avoid it.
Three years ago while travelling to the clinic for a chemo treatment, during such a storm, the car I was in left the road and rolled several times. We were not seriously hurt, but it left me with a great respect for, and a desire to avoid those storms when possible.
So, I travel early and visit with friends in the city.
I want to ask if you would remember me in your prayers this coming week as those days are always a little difficult wondering what is to happen next. I am hoping for a good report again.
Blessings,
Toria

I just heard from my Mom that my sister, Janet, is in the hospital for the 2nd time in the last 2 months. She is having trouble breathing due to asthma and a virus that she can't seem to shake. Her oxygen level is low so they are giving her breathing treatments and meds via IV. She has been sick quite a bit in the past few months. Please pray healing prayers for her. She has had such a tough time lately. She just got married in October and has not even been able to enjoy married life since she has been sick so much.
Thank you so much!

Thanks for the prayers. I really appreciate it. Janet is home from the hospital but not much better. She is continuing treatments at home. She is scared because she is still having breathing difficulty. They want her to see a pulmonologist. I don't know if she managed to get an appointment yet. There are a lot of allergens in the air right now in Tucson and she is allergic to alomst everything. It doesn't take much to trigger an attack. Please continue to pray that they get this under control. Please also pray that she manages to get an appointment quickly with the pulmonologist. I know it can take a while for specialists to fit new patients in. With God, I know it's possible though.
Thanks!
Kathy

I got home from the clinic a few hours ago. I did not get as good a report as I had hoped. My CA-125 marker (blood work) is on the rise again. Also there is some movement in two of the tumors, and some more lymph nodes have become affected.
I need to get started on chemo again, but as it has been only 4 1/2 months since my last treatment, it would probably not do much good right now. So....If things get worse in a hurry, I must start treatments and hope for the best. Otherwise, I will wait 3 months and then they plan to go the chemo route again. My oncologist is also checking to see if I qualify for any clinical trials.
For the most part I am doing ok. I have more grief when I see the worry in my husband than I do from the cancer. I think it is more difficult for him. Please remember him in your prayers, and if/when you pray for me, pray for me to have strength.

Thank you all for your prayers and support. It means so much to me to know that you are all there for me to rant, cry, laugh, and pray with/for.
Blessings,
Toria
