An update: My friend's son went home to be with Jesus this afternoon. I so appreciate your prayers and I ask that you continue to lift the family up before the Lord in the days that follow.
In His love,

Spokenfor,

I have lived through the same situation with the family of the pastor we had about twenty years ago. A drunk hit his wife's car head on with his family in it. He was at the church in his office when it happen. His whole family was airlifted to Harborview in Seattle and we all followed over as soon as we could. The son was on life support and so was his daughter. In the next room, his wife was in critical condition. The wonderful hospital staff let us all in (in rotation shifts) and we held much prayer at their bedsides. The son died but the daughter recovered ok, minus one eye. His wife also made a good recovery by will have life-long health problems. Our pastor's mother was with us and was a 'tower of strength'. She was a missionary in China and was captured by the Japanese during WWII and had experienced much worse. She said POW camp was God's training for ordeals like we were now going through and led in songs of praise between our prayers.

Even in sorrow, God is good.

I humbly thank you all for your continued prayers and words of encouragment. I will pass them all on to my dear friend in this time of sorrow. Sometimes the grief seems too much to bear but we are promised that joy cometh in the morning. Our Lord is faithful and even though the pain of this loss is incomprehensible, I know that there will be rejoicing again for there is so much to look forward to when we finally see Jesus and can be reunited with our loved ones.
In His love,
Spokenfor

I have a prayer request.
I leave shortly for the clinic. I have an early appointment with my oncologist followed by chemo tomorrow.
My concern is for my chemo port. The infection has been (?) cleared up. There is however for the past 2 days a lot of soreness/redness around the area. I have prayed about it, but am having a little trouble letting go of the worry.

I am not sure if my prayer request is that I can keep the port(very important for my treatments), or that I can regain my inner peace.

Psalm 23 is getting a workout.
Blessings

Girl,
I think I would be having A LOT of trouble letting go of the worry. Good thing God is faithful even with people like me of little faith!

Jesus,
I lift up Toria to you, the greatest Physician ever, the great Healer, the God of great conpassion, the Creator of these incredible bodies, and I ask for Your healing touch for my friend Toria. Lord, I ask for complete healing in her body, that the cancer be gone in the power of Jesus' name, never to return. I ask You to move quickly on behalf of our sister. God, I know you love Toria, please be so very close to her, please flood her with peace and assurance. Please guide her and the medical staff in each and every decision they make. Father God, we praise You for answereing the prayers of your faithful servant Toria. Hear the cries of her heart. Increase her faith, hope, and joy. Love on her, just pour out your healing presence and love on her Jesus. In your Holy Holy name,
Amen.
Lori

Still praying Spokenfor, and also praying for your knee Colleen, while I am at it. :-)

Toria, I am also praying for you, for both your peace and for your port. I agree with Lori--I'd be having a very hard time, too! Gopd is faithful even when we're not full-of-faith.

Please, Father, send Your Spirit to be in Toria's heart and body, and reveal Yourself to her in profound ways as her true Abba.. Please take care of her in the ways she needs to be cared for. Thank you! In Jesus' name, Amen

Update:

Just got home a little while ago.
I could not have my chemo treatment as they felt it was too dangerous at this time. It seems my Neutrophils (white blood cells) are way, way low causing a condition called neutropenia. My immune system is compromised.
In a week I will have bloodwork to see if things are getting better (please God), and if so I will have chemo. If not, I must have treatments for the neutropenia, and restart chemo later when it is safe to do so.
I also am on antibiotics again for the next 10 days. The above problem is why the infection around my port is not clearing up. My oncologist says I may have to have the port removed, but right now it is wait and see.

Thank you all for the prayers. Knew I could count on you guys. What happens now is in His hands. I am content to leave it there.

Blessings to All,
Toria

Toria,
A prayer for you:
Father in Heaven, I thank you that we can come to you and call you Father. Jesus made that possible. I am bringing Toria to you because of all the problems she is having. Only You know what is best for her and I leave her in Your awesome hands knowing that you will do what is best. Comfort her and give her peace. Thank you God for doing this for Toria.
Diana
