Ben Jones
September 1, 2000 Late today Ben began to experience respiratory failure and passed away shortly after 7:00 pm Friday night. Doctors at Brooke Army Medical Center exhausted all medical efforts and procedures known to help Ben pull through. Ben fought an uphill battle since the accident July 28. While it is clear he could have survived his burns and amputations he was unable to defeat the pneumonia which he contracted about two weeks after his accident.

Hi Patti,

I'm so sorry about Ben. I have not followed to much of the forum in the last month, but have seen some of your post's about him.

My prayers will be with his family.

Patti, my prayers are with you and Ben's family. May you all feel the presence of God's love, covering you as you endure this time of grief.

Love in Christ,

dear bmorgan, I'm praying daily :). and on Mondays at 7pm.

dear friends, if there was ever a time for prayer it is now.

recently i have written my testimony up about being involved with an SDA and how much hurt I reaped from the relationship and my realization that SDAism is a cult.

as i was relating to my sister. I am having a difficult time trusting God. the sorrow in my heart for my ex staying in Adventism is great, and I can only think that this must be how God feels knowing His children are lost.

please pray because it feel definitely like spiritual warfare is going on holding and blinding the Adventist church, and within it our loved ones.

I believe that one way Satan attacks believers is to succeed in lulling us into routines and busyness that keep us from seriously thinking about the spiritual warfare that rages around us.

This (and previous) attacks on our forum are not the mere works of men and women. Paul said in Ephesians 6:12: "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual foreces of evil in the heavenly realms."

It's easy to target a faceless person and call him or her the culprit, but whenever the truth of the gospel is attacked, that attack is from the evil one.

I'm asking all FAF-ers to join me in regular prayer for this website. Truth is anathema to those who walk in darkness and deception, but the Light has shined in darkness. Darkness has been defeated. Our response to attacks of darkness should be to praise God for his sovereignty and to ask for his protection and discernment.

Please pray that the Holy Spirit will be present on this site, that God will protect it from evil, deception, and dissention, and that those who need to be supported in truth and love will find this site.

Please pray also for the person(s) continuing to attack this forum. Whoever they are, they need the Savior; they need the Holy Spirit to convict and minister to them.

I praise you, God, for this forum and for the many people who contribute and who lurk here. I praise you for your sovereignty and for your glory you wish to reveal through this website.

In the name of Jesus Christ I ask you to convict and restrain the person(s) attacking this medium of proclaiming your grace and Truth. Please protect it and protect and bless each person who comes here.

Thank you, Jesus, that you are our Redeemer and that you have sent your Holy Spirit to us.

We praise you, Father, and we thank you for your love.

Amen.

dear friends, please pray for me as I am talking to my friend who became an Adventist just at the end of August. I am trying desperately to show her how Adventism contradicts the Bible before her heart becomes fully blind to the truth of God's word. please pray for her, too.

My daughter -- who was baptized this summer
in Sedona, Arizona in a Lutheran church -- will
be visiting me here in southern California this
weekend.

It's her birthday(!) weekend! Please pray for
our relationship, especially that I might
be a Christ-like witness to her as we "do" the
area: Huntington Gardens, Opera, San Luis
Obispo MIssion, Los Angeles County Museum
of Art and possibly La Brea Tar Pits!

Great fun, but the most important thing is how
I represent Christ to my daughter, turning 23
years of age!

Chyna, I will pray for you and your friend.

Max, I'll pray for you and your daughter also. It's amazing sometimes that when we are worried about showing Christ's love to our kids in the midst of our stressful lives, they often reflect his love onto us instead. Even something as simple as a preschooler's "I love you", at the very moment you are overcome with life, can be a heaven-sent message. I have no idea if this even relates to you or not. Just thought it was something worth sharing.

Marveling in the love of the Father!

Oh, yes, Susan!

It's unbelievable how my daughter has
blossomed in her new life under the sunshine
of God's pure grace!

Sally's sister is now living with Sally & husband - both Christians. The sister, an SDA, is dying of cancer. Please pray that God will give Sally & her husband an extra measure of strength & patience during this difficult time. Also, that God will open the sister's eyes to the real Truth & that she will have assurance of her salvation before the end.

Well, this is my last day of vacation and I haven't gotten very close to making any decisions. I have learned about EGW and will never go back to SDA again but am at loose ends about everything else. I have read and commented on different threads but just feel that confused, lots of loose ends, empty, sad feelings that I came here with in the beginning. I will get very busy once back at work but I do ask for your prayers. I need a church family irl. I will spend most of today cleaning, praying and listening to tons of gospel music trying to get in touch with Jesus somehow. I will come here from time to time to read but so desparately need fellowship irl not just on the computer

Bless you Shereen,

I'm praying that you will be able to find a group
such as the FAF groups that now exist.

I humbly beg you all to forgive me for my arrogance, and I ask you all to pray for my brother and his family. They think he has a virulent form of leukemia. And he has never had the peace of knowing Christ as His Savior.

God bless,

Patti, I know what a fine line it is in proclaiming the Gospel with assurance and conviction!... and yet... in kindness and gentleness of spirit! I guess this gets back into the area of the "fruit" of the Spirit... :-)) :-))

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control"! Galations 5

And also Phillipians 4: "Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near"!

I believe, as do you, in the necessity of the emphasis in our message being placed on the objective rightousness of Christ's life and death and resurrection in our place, for us!

You have always championed this and I am grateful for that.

I pray to cultivate more and more a "HUMBLE BOLDNESS"!!

And may it be said of us ALL here, as was said after observing the courage of Peter and John in Acts 4, "they took note that these men had been with JESUS"!

I will pray for your brother; I'm sure this is a difficult time for your family...

Grace always,
Cindy
