God, Be with JD Pascal's neighbor and with Toria, that both women can have their chemo. I would like you to heal them so others can see you power, glory and love for us. These are just my human thoughts.
Thank you awesome God for loving these ladies with all they have gone through.

Jdpascal, I'm praying. May God hold Karen and her family (and yours) tightly as you go through this again. May they walk closely with Jesus during this time.

Toria, I pray too that your blood counts will be not only OK, but great and that God will show Himself great in your life. May God hold you tightly as well. I pray for you often throughout the day as the Lord brings you to mind.

Love,

Joyfulheart

Lord...

Please bless these loved ones as they face such medical uncertainties in their lives. May you grant them peace as well as the assurance of Your presence in every step of their lives. Hold them in Your loving arms and whisper words of love and encouragement in their ears. And please bless those medical personnel who attend to their needs. Please use them in a mighty way.

Amen

Thank you all for your prayers.

My counts were up enough that I could have a chemo treatment yesterday. All went well. I have another treatment for Sept 25th. Then a few weeks to recoup before the next one one October 16th.
My C-T scan shows the cancer at a standstill. No lessening of the cancer, but also no new growth. Hopeful.
Praising God for His care of me and for the prayers of folks who know how powerful prayer can be.

Thank you all for your prayers for our friend and neighbor, Karen, and her family.

She was able to take her treatment on monday and is getting comfortable with her no-hair do. Fortunatly, the other side effects are minimal and she is quite at ease for now.

please continue to pray for her and them.

Jdpascal,
Thank you for the update.
Happy to hear that Karen was able to have her treatment and having minimal side effects. Praise God.

No-hair dos (in my case other peoples reactions to my no-hair do) require some getting used to. I have lost my hair twice to treatments over the past few years, and right now it is getting fairly thin for the third time. It grows quickly back once the treatments are over.

She and her family remain in my morning prayers.

Blessings,
Toria

I'm sorry I have not been on this prayer area yet, and am behind but will be begin to join you all in your prayer requests.

I am asking for prayer for my dear mother. She is the very SDA 86 year old who has come to live with me (in an apt in the back) She is in the hospital now after having a fall that broke her nose. She has been having many episodes of her heart racing and it's been being controlled with meds. Now they aren't working and they tried to put a pacemaker in Friday. I was alone in the waiting area and the doc came out and said they were having trouble(she is very thin and frail) and then after he left I heard them paging "Rapid response" and I was SO scared. She pulled through after and they are going to try again tomorrow. Please pray for her. I also am dealing with the guilt of my negative attitude toward her regarding SDAism. I have been good to her and have loved her while she has been here, but I do complain about it behind her back, and I feel bad about that. She is a sweet soul who is just set in her ways, but I do feel that God is working in all of this. I just hurt for her being in this distress and I don't feel like she is strong enough for the surgery tomorrow. I'm just scared and need your prayers. Thank you.
