Asurprise,

I was at work on a break when I first read your prayer request. And yes, I prayed on the spot, just wanted to let you know you folks are being lifted in prayer as far north as Puget Sound.

Thank-you everybody. Also tomorrow night a friend and I will be studying with a Jehovah's Witness. Pray that we have the right words to say. JWs are as hard to reach as Adventists - actually anybody in a cult is. There's a real battle going on for their souls. This person is a little old man. Thanks again! (Actually I think there might be two JWs coming over. I think his wife might come.)

U2bsda - I am in a similar situation with an old friend on facebook. I will pray for yours too!

Also would like to ask for prayer for my brother who has been lost to addictions since his teen years. He just turned 37, and has been preserved through many situations where he should probably have died. The other night he called (drunk) but for the first time I heard him admit his lost condition. He called later (sober) to apologize for calling drunk, but restated his distress over being lost. Being better with words on paper, I wrote him a letter explaining the simple gospel and invited him to accept Jesus. I told him he didn't need to overcome anything first to come to Jesus, and that he didn't need to spend another minute "lost" - I also sent him some moving music from Casting Crowns - Set Me Free & Prodigal. Since he grew up with the same screwed up theology as me, I am praying he will have breakthrough. There are many factors at play in this story, but he is planning to move near our mother. We have alot of SDA family in that area. I know he needs the love and support of family, but I'm concerned the Adventist environment will set him up for more failure. Just asking for prayer that we will finally surrender, and from there, true deliverance can happen. Your prayers are felt and appreciated!!

Sondra, Praying for your brother. I will pray that he find Celebrate Recovery. That is a 12 step program patterned after AA but is Christ centered. He could also go to AA.
God, be with Sondra's brother. Take him to the program You want him in so he can recover and let You into his life. Thank you awesome God.

I awoke this morning and bit earlier than usual and found my wife in the living room crying, she is in constant excruciating pain, the meds the doc has given her are not touching it. I am having to move her from place to place in a wheel chair now. Please keep remembering her in your prayers.

Sondra,

I am a living example of Christs ability to deliver one from alcoholism. Keep seeking God for your brother and never give up on him.
I know you won't but just had to say it anyway.

River, I'm praying for your wife.

I've was told when my dad was dying that doctors should always manage extreme pain. I believe God can and will intervene, but the docotrs should be giving her something. I ask in the name of Jesus that you Holy Spirit will strengthen, bless and comfort River's wife and River . Surround them and bring them Your peace I pray. Amen.

River, praying for your wife to find relief from her pain. Sounds like you are a good support for her. Going through that alone would be terrible.

Update on my bro: He was appreciative of the letter, but said his pride is standing in the way. Still praying, and yeah River - never give up. =) God is bigger than his pride.

A prayer request for myself. When I retired earlier this year I prayed about it. God has provided me enough work, at my regular job, working with outpatients. The case load is going down to where there is only one out patient. I talked with the manager today. She told me, and I knew, that the in patient case load is down also. Until both build up again she wants another in patient OT to do the out patients. I know my retirement and social security will not pay all my bills. The money I was earning there did. So I am asking all of you to pray that God supplies extra money, in what ever way he wants, so that I can pay my bills and help others when I can. I thank you in advance for all you prayers.

Diana, I will be praying God will provide. I thank Him for His promises. "For he himself has said, I will never leave you or forsake you."
