Thanks for the prayers. I got back from Arizona last night. Everything went very well with my grandmother's funeral. It was sad but at the same time it was a celebration of a life well lived. The memorial service at the Adventist church was very nice. The song my Mom, sister and I sang went well (Untitled Hymn). I saw relatives I haven't seen in years. Even my fear of flying wasn't very evident. I was pretty relaxed on the airplane, which is unusual for me. While on the plane I kept thinking of this Michelle Tumes song "With the Angels". "I'm flying home tonight I've got a ticket bound for my shore. I leave this town behind As I wave farewell from above I'm watching the stars light up the heavens I think of my family together, and I'm Ooh, with the angels Soaring high upon their wings With the angels I can hear them as I sing I'm with the angels I'm with the angels" It helped get me through the flight. I am so Thankful to God. He moves suddenly and you can hardly keep up. This morning my wife gets a call. She got the job she was competing for and at the pay rate she requested. This job has benefits, 40 hr week, and only a few blocks from where I work. So that makes it possible for occasional lunches, and shared or back up commutes etc... How unique is that! This call came in as we were getting ready to head to the hospital. She had her surgery today, female type matters, and I met with the doctor while she was in recovery, he said everything looked good to him and he gave me two sets of internal photos and I did not gag too badly  He felt she would be a lot happier now and this should take care of all this suffering she had experienced in recent months, and he said , congrats on her new job, she is very happy, (she must have told him just before surgery). He asked her if she needed anything before surgery, she said pray for me, he said ok. God answered another prayer. He provided me the opprotunity and ability to be there for her. It was so important. It was just the two of us today. I have her home and she is sleeping now. Praise God, words don't cover my gratitude. jim02 | ||

He's finally here! Our beautiful grandson, Bennett, was born safely yesterday around noon. Mom and baby, and dad, all doing well. Baby was 7lb 2oz and 20 inches long. This truly is an answer to prayer. Their last pregnancy was an ectopic pregnancy, with all the residual worries that go along with that. God is SO VERY good! | ||
