Colleen,

No, there is no bleeding. It has something to do with the possibility of being deseased, which is why they call it a biopsy. I don't understand the relationship to the eye, but if it is deseased they say she could go blind and they are unable to find any other reason for her headaches.

I am still at the hospital. I talked to the surgeon awhile ago. She said things went well and Jan will be able to go home as soon as she is out of recovery.

Hopefully, removing the vein in question will cure the problem. Anyway, it will be tested and the lab.

Hello Forum Family,

We are home and Jan says "Thanks for your prayer support". Going into surgery this morning, she really was comforted knowing you were all there for her. She's just out of surgery but feeling perky. Since she's had massive headaches for the past month, this is amazing. Hopefully, removing the "right temporal artery" was a good move and she can get on with life. (Note: Last night she talked to our eighteen year old grandson and told him it was ok to call her "Scar Face".) Actually, when it heals up, I don't think anyone will even notice.

I also thank all of you. It is wonderful seeing a smile back on her face. And, after forty-two years, she's decided to keep me.

Day after report,

Today didn't start out well. Apparently we ate something last night that didn't aggree with us. As the day progressed Jan's headache, which had been centered over the right temporal area where she hit her head on our car door, went away. This is the first time in several weeks she has been free of pain. Praise the Lord, she is smiling again.

P.S. Since I do most of the cooking these days, I felt bad about the tummy ache and was careful about the menu tonight.

This is my very first time of posting anything, though I have been non-denominational for 7 years. I want to share a dynamite resource for learning the science of prayer and for listening to a daily Bible reading done in a classy manner by a Nashville recording professional with deep love for Jesus:
www.dailyaudiobible.com
Check out the WINDFARM special series "The Hope of Prayer"--just when I thought I didn't really need any new information on prayer--THIS HIT ME AT A WHOLE NEW INTELLECTUAL & HEART-FELT LEVEL! There is a way to get things done!

OK, now the floodgates open. I do have prayer requests for healing for my 3 sons, my husband who is between surgeries, and myself. We are focusing on the Scriptures that show Jesus bore our curse--so we shouldn't have to. Thanks for your agreement in Christ's burden-distroying, yolk-busting power!
