Sorry for that River... Praying for you.

Also, I want to ask you, please, to pray for something that's going on at the moment in my family... I won't give much details now. It would be long and complicated.

Pray for my mom and the rest of my family (my brother, his wife and my dad). My mom is a non-SDA (she was but left years ago), mostly non-believer but very respectful... And my brother's wife is a rather conservative adventist that, in my opinion, doesn't show any sign of having a living relationship with Jesus Christ, or even of being very consequent with the things she says to believe... And they all live together. That doesn't help the situation much, and my mom is finding it harder and harder to cope with it.

My brother and dad's (who's the most "open" of all of them) attitudes do not help much neither. I also doubt about my brother's having that living relationship with Jesus Christ... Do not doubt about his sincerity, and you can never really know... But by the fruits that are produced you can get to see things.

I don't really know how to help, because I'm in England and they're in Spain, so I just can get to chat with my mom in Messenger and try to explain some things. Yesterday I was very open and talked with her about what I see as the problems in the SDA church, and she seemed to me very receptive at least in some aspects. She basically detests the SDA church, because she thinks that it's making them become "crazy" and she can see that there's some sort of "brain washing" and control over them.

And prayer. I think that there's need for prayer, for all of them. It seems to me like a situation that could explode, without nice results.

I asked for your prayers before and I know it helped... I thank you for all your help.

PS: Also add that I don't have internet at home any more, so it might take long for me to answer...

Martin, praying for your family. God knows each one and how best to reach them.
Father in Heaven, send you Holy Spirit to this family and eject the spirit of adventism out of the house and replace it with your Spirit. You love them more then any of us. Thank You awesome God. In Jesus mighty name I ask this. Amen.

Hello friends, we arrived safely and are second day in Bulgaria with loving family and friends. Thank you for your prayers, I feel allot better knowing that we give each others prayer support and we all take this seriously. This place has gone crazier than before, even driving on the streets has become a major life hazard. So vacation is good but going home safe is even better...

I join in prayer for River's family, what a tragic that was and of course it will continue to be for years. This family will need our prayers. As bad as this sounds, sometimes tragic events like this one are the very thing that can draw someone else to Jesus and ultimately, salvation.

Hec and Martin, you're in my prayers as well.

River,

How sad, I'm praying now.

George, offering prayrs of thanks and for a safe return home

Hec,
I'm with you in prayer

I have a request. On the Wednesday of the Michigan leg of the Tour of encouragement I will be meeting up with an SDA friend who is rather revolted that I am trekking out to Michigan to meet with other formers. I'm asking for agreement in prayer that our discussions will bear the fruit God wants

I am so indebted to my omnipresent God for carrying my heartfelt burdens when they are too heavy to even express with words. I am lifting up my fellow brothers and sisters here who have shared their requests for God's intervention, and have voiced their praise for His presence in their activities. God is faithful to hear the cries of our hearts. I continue to join you in prayer.

Thank you for your prayers River, and will be praying for your family's tragic situation! I can't imagine a valley that dark without God. Praying they seek Him. Hec and George, I pray your travels are safe, and enjoyable! Enoch - so glad you get to go - and are encouraged!! Praying for your time with your friend too. Martin - I pray peace for your family and that they meet the real Jesus one on one!

My daughter is facing a new crisis - the older brother of the boy she is seeing attempted suicide yesterday and is in ICU. He took all the meds he had - which were alot - for many different things. His kidneys are not working at all, and they are told it could go either way from moment to moment. None of that family are believers.

Also, my grandmother is Oregon is dying soon, and I want to go see her so badly, but need someone that can take care of my kids, so I would appreciate prayers this will work out - if it's God's will for me to see her. I know it's not "necessity" but it would mean very much to me.

The problem seems bigger than just childcare now.. it's SO far away, no airport close to my family either so they'd have to pull off taking care of her to come and get me, not something I would feel right about. Driving takes three days one way - so... looks like it may not be possible - but if it's God's will, I know He can make a way. I'll have to be with her in the Spirit. =)

Sondra,
I think most if not all airports have a place on or near the airport to rent a car. If you make a request for a car they will have it waiting at the airport for you when you arrive.. that way your family would not have to leave your Mom to go get you and you would have your "own wheels" while you are there in case you wanted to go somewhere and not have to borrow one of their cars or have them transport you.
Just an idea.

Francie - great idea - but no $$$! ha. Just the ticket is a stretch enough. Getting help with that. Thanks Doc! I will need lots of wisdom when I get there. The way has been made flying into a closer airport (Pasco, WA). Very thankful for all your prayers too.

Sondra,
Praying for you that you will be able to go see your grandmother.
Where does she live?
I live in dayton and I can come to the airport and get you and take your there. This is not inconvenient for me.
You can reach me at gcfrankie@bmi.net. if you are interested and you can give me the dates and work out the details.

Gail, Thanks so much for the offer. I would LOVE so much to meet you and would love the visit. However I'll be on the other end of the state, flying into the Tri-Cities area. That looks like a long drive for you. It's close to Hermiston where my folks live. We always flew into Portland, so I didn't realize there was a closer airport. (My mom just moved off the coast)

I have another request.. I feel very needy lately!

This week two Hebrew Roots acquaintances (who don't know each other) have joined facebook and friended me. This is a first, and our testimony on our blog is getting visited for the first time in awhile, so I'm fairly sure they are reading it - coming from facebook links. Sticky situation there with one person - some of the things I wrote to her, I posted there with no names, and I posted my words only. Please keep them in prayer. I know they will hate me, but maybe some light will break through somewhere. Thanks again.. again.. and again!! =)

Sondra, praying for you and them.

ps Did you know that anyone who reads FAF can read the prayer requests and the discussion. That means they can see you email address also. Just a word of caution.
