Yes Diana, I AM VERY glad that she is still alive. Although being in constant pain is not much of a life. When she says something about wishing it could just be over with,it is hard ti hear. I tell her that I am sorry she is in pain, but I am glad she is still here with us.
She says she just doesnt understand why God doesnt just take her... I tell her that there is a reason, and even if she cant understand why, that she just needs to believe that God does know why and there is a reason for every day she is here. I try and encourage her to keep walking, to sit up and use her pedal thingy, I tell her I want her to stay as mobile as she can, because we want to care for her ourselves as long as we can.. I know and so does she that if the time comes she is not able to stand or walk anymore that she will have to go to a care facility as I cannot lift her. At least for now she is able to walk and get herself back and forth to the bathroom and in and out of bed.
She will still get up and come and have meals with us.
So, I dont mean to sound like I am not thankful to still have her alive, because I am. I just need prayers for us all because it is hard.... it seems there is just no cheering her up. She has lost her independence and that is very hard for her. And it is hard for us to take care of someone who is always in pain and wants it to end.

Thank you for all your prayers for my daughter. Today I believe there was a breakthrough with the addiction. Please continue praying. Will post more later but I will say right now I am praising God for answered prayers for her.

Going over all the requests this morning.. lifting them up in prayer. Enoch - I have been impressed to fast lately too for some people I know - the burden is so great. Thank you all for prayers too. It's such a huge comfort to know we have a family who prays and holds one another up.

Praying this morning too for all my sda family and friends as they sit in their various services. Father, open their eyes!

Francie, I am just now reading about your mom. I can so relate, though your burden seems more heavy at this time. My mother is 87 and is failing and I am her caregiver. She had a string of hospitalizations that took a toll on her and on me.

She also wants me to be there more than anyone else. I can only imagine what it would be like if she lost her will to live. That would be so difficult!! You are doing a wonderful thing, but I know that some days you just can't take it! I've done the silent scream, and talk to myself to not react when she is hard to deal with. I have good days and bad days with her. I will pray and lift you up about your day to day struggles, and for your mom's comfort.

My grandmother, also 97, is in the same place Francie. My mom and aunt are taking care of her.. as she still lives in her own house and doesn't even want anyone spending the night with her! It's difficult and I hear she is not easy to satisfy no matter what they do. I have not seen this side of her, but she is often critical of their efforts to help her. Praying for all the caregivers!

I am asking for prayer request for a gentleman in the church I attend. He has parkinsons and osteoprosis. The medication he is on for parkinsons causes him to have bad dreams. It seems the other night he had one of these dreams and fell out of bed and broke three (3) of the bones in his neck. One bone is severly fractured and the other two not too bad but they can not put a halo on his head to hold his neck still but he is wearing a very stiff collar.
So I am asking prayer for him that God will place his hand on his head to keep it from shaking too severly so his neck can heal.

Oh, Gail, I have seen that in my work.
Father in Heaven, Thank you for this man who loves you. You know he has Parkinsons and osteoporosis and has to take medication. This stuff gives him bad dreams and he fell out of bed and broke bones in his neck. Put your healing hand on him and keep his neck from shaking so the bones can heal. Thank You Awesome God for taking care of him and his family. May they trust you through all of this.

Praying for all the requests on here.
We all have so much to be thankful for and yet sometimes the day to day things just wear us down. I thank God for all of you here and am so thankful for your prayers. It really does help ease the burden knowing that so many truly care and are praying.

Also praying for all the requests here...Handmaiden, how are you doing today? We all love you with the love of the Lord...just snuggle under the shelter of His wings...sorry you had a real-l-l-ly awful day. Remember that verse that says God collects all our tears in a bottle?

Handmaiden,

I have been praying for you, along with the other saints who are in the forefront of presenting the gospel message to this fallen world.

I am reminded that even Elijah had his moments when the world's pressures left him feeling weak and on the run. First, God allowed him to rest and brought him nourishment. Then, an angel of God showed him that there were 900 prophets who had not bowed the knee before the baals of this world.

At times like this, it is good to know, simply, that we are never alone. We are safe in 'the arms of Jesus'.

Your brother in Christ,

Fearless Phil
