Request concerning my wife.

First, I just want to mention she has numerous health issues. Anyway, yesterday she fell in the front yard but seemed ok. Today however, she had a dizzy spell and hit her head on a wall inside our home. What with a CAT scan and X-rays, she seems ok, except: The EKG indicated a couple of irregularities, so the emergancy room admited her overnight for observation to check out the heart. She already wears a packmaker so there could be something going on.

Prayer request for my son Nathaniel--he got a painful rejection last week from an insurance company. They are just doing their job, but it has knocked him down. He has had so many difficult things in his life. Please pray for God to hold him up, for healing...for him to see God as loving & merciful.

Praying for your wife, Phil.

I thank God for this place where we can bring our griefs & cares so that we may all pray for each other!

SDA organization going by the name "All Power" and headed by an SDA pastor Leo Schreven is planning to officially launch their "evangelical" website with a week of prayer starting this Friday. As far as I know there are different presentations prepared for every day of the week along with all the materials, video and audio files available on their website. They are advertising quite aggressively and hoping to reach 2 million people worldwide. We need to pray! Many sincere Christians who don't know their bible well could be sucked into Adventism.

I have another thread in "members" section explaining better who All Power are:
http://www.formeradventist.com/cgi-bin/discus/board-auth.cgi?file=/4529/9296.html&lm=1253731103

Here's the latest of few emails circulated by All Power:

Dear ... ,

In just TWO MORE DAYS we will be kicking off the GoAllPower.com website with an online week of prayer September 25 to October 1. We want to bless as many people as possible during the Week of Prayer because these presentations are going to be POWERFUL. Our goal is one million people in North America and an additional million world wide.

So I encourage you to forward this email to everyone on your email list and everyone in your church, office, and school to help us spread the word far and wide! You have the power to make this a big event and I am counting on you!

Click here to visit us on Facebook and invite all of your friends there too.

Thank you for your dedicated support in the All Power family. Together we have created a powerful way for everyone to spread God's good news throughout the internet and I hope you take full advantage of it starting now.

God bless,

Leo

Let us pray...!

Praying, too,... There seems almost to be a desperate attempt lately by the SDA church to pull in as many as possible...souls are in peril!

Phil,
How is Jan doing? Did they find out what is making her dizzy? Tell her I am praying for her. I sure injoyed meeting her in Oregon.

Handmaiden, I am asking God to wrap his arms around you and take away what ever upset you bad and give you happy thoughts.

Nowisee, I am praying for your son after receiving the bad news from the insurance company. I am asking God to wrap His loving arms around him.

George,
I am praying that God will shut down this blog to keep the false teachings out peoples hands.

Gail,

Jan is still in the hospital. All we know right now is a list of things that are ok. She did not have a stroke and her heart is fine. I highly suspect it has something to do with her pacemaker rubbing wrong or shifting on the shoulder muscles, but then, I am not a medical person. Anyway, the plan is to transfer her to a rest home for a week where she can recieve physical therapy and training to deal with situations at home. Other than that, the doctors don't say a whole lot and I am here at home wondering when the transfer is going to take place.

This is my day off, so it is just Hooch and myself here at home. He is outside keeping the varmits at bay and I am in here working on quarterly lesson comentary. Sure is quite with no Jan at home.

Diana,

Will do. I just recieved a message that she will soon be transported to a facility in Port Orchard, which is a town not to far from here. It being only about a twenty-five minute drive to where she will be staying.

Knowing you are a PT, I thought of you when I found out she needed therapy, but alas, you are much to far away.

Phil, I am an OT, occupational therapist, not PT-physical therapist. And yes I am too far away to do her any good. Luckily with prayer distance does not mean a thing.

God bless you for praying for Nathaniel-Gail, Colleen & Enoch. It means more to me than you will ever know. When I last talked to him, he wasn't in despair about the insurance & I know that is because of the powerful God that heard your prayers & helped him deal with this.

Phil & Jan and Francie--praying for you and your circumstances. I'm glad your wife is getting rehab, Phil...so glad it was not a stroke or heart. Please let us know how she is doing as she recovers. Skeeter--sorry about your hard week/day. Get some rest if you can...please take care of yourself, even tho' that's hard right now. Praying for strength for you! Let us know how things are when you get a chance--it helps to talk about it to people who care.
