Jan is in a convalesant home where she is recieving physical therapy directed towards being better able to navigate in and around the home. She expects to be able to come home in a few days.

In the mean time, I am going to add some more safety rails inside the home, especially in the location where she lost her balance and fell.

What with full time work, working on the outside of our home, and looking after Jan's needs; things have been very busy for me. My computer time has been devoted mostly to working on Quarterly commentary. Praise God, he has given me the time and the peace to focus on the first lesson assigned to me and it is almost ready to send to Colleen.

I am always amazed how God fits every activity together and things worked so well for his glory. For instance, one of my daughters needs my help and it appears that there is just the right place and amount of time to be with her and work with her. Without going in the details, her name is Ruth and she is in a situation where I would covet your prayers. In fact, it would be a blessing to Jan because Ruth's situation weights heavily on her heart.

Phil, Ruth is my middle name so of course I will pray for her and not just because we share a name.
I thank our awesome God that Jan is almost ready to go home and that you are putting in bars for her where she fell.

I see I have been slow in updating everybody on things around here.

Jan came home a couple days ago and is doing very well. Since this is my normal day off we are about to go out and do some shopping.

For one thing, I am having chronic problems with this computer which is very frustrating when working on quarterly commentary or attempting to send or recieve email. Anyway, I'll be looking for a new computer. Jan, of course, has other things on her mind while out shopping.

As for our daughter, Ruth, Jan and I have both come to the same conclusion. Without going into an explaination, we think she needs to deal with the situation she got herself into without us becoming involved. But, she certainly needs prayer, especially in the area of surrendering her life to the Lord and not blaming others for things of her own creation....enough said!

Hi all,

I guess I/we really need some prayer, though sorry, I have not always been around!

First of all, there are some great things happening here in Hungary!

I perceive that God is working in an amazing way, and the Holy Spirit is saying the same things to very many people, denominations and churches – basically about having a pure heart, serving God with clean motivation, then about mission, church planting, listening to the Holy Spirit in evangelism, and so on.

However, I should like to ask for prayer for us, and for a certain person. If any of you read my posts long ago, when I was still new to Adventism, or about “Fred” in my Proclamation article – his real name is Gyula…

I have come to believe he is still “bound” to a certain extent by the spirit of false teaching, so I would ask anyone who would be willing to pray, to please bind this false spirit, so he can finally see how bad this movement really is, and can be finally released into the ministry God has prepared for him.

Thanks to you all in advance,
And God is really amazing!

Adrian, It is a privilege to pray for your friend Gyula. I will pray that God release him from this false spirit and that he will see Jesus.
Not only is God amazing, He is so very awesome.

Good to call in the troops! It's such a blessing to have family to call on for prayer support. Phil, will be praying for Ruth. My brother is in, and has been in, that boat for a very long time. He is in another crisis point himself as I speak... over and over roller coaster ride for the whole family. Prayers are with you and please pray for him too. (Steve)

Gyula will also be in our prayers for sure.. that the stronghold in his life will be broken and he can be filled with joy, love, peace, and use his giftings to advance, not distract the kingdom.
Good night all! =)

Handmaiden, you must take notes! =) Thanks for remembering. My daughter is still coasting, but came to hear the Palestinian pastor the other night who is on FIRE and she was deeply moved.. to tears. She still has an open heart.. so I believe she will come around. She is in a close relationship with an agnostic guy, so I asked her to think about what it would be like to raise kids with a guy who does not really believe in God. Time to start praying for my grandkids too.. it would seem. That they will have a Godly father, and be born inside a loving marriage relationship.

Praying here .. and taking notes!! =)

Urgent request: Please pray for my sister re a meeting to be held in a few hours at 7 pm tonight California time. She & my BIL just found out that their business partners have been embezzling money from their business. They don't have money to take them to court so if these people don't do the right thing they could lose their livelihood. Typed by my loving husband via telephone cause I'm not at home.:-) Thank you!

Thank you, thank you everyone that picked this up at the last minute--(I am home now)--My sister & esp BIL are emotionally drained over this recent revelation. I have been witnessing to my (SDA, but not currently attending) sister about the Truth that we have all found---when I saw her today she unloaded her heart about this current situation--she has trusted these people and they have been doing stuff like taking cruises with money that is not theirs. I immediately asked if she would like everyone to pray for her & this meeting & situation and she was so grateful that you all would do this that she accepted the offer with thankfulness. I know God can and will use this for His glory. My BIL has in the past been involved in--initiated--a court battle with a SoCal SDA hospital (bad idea) where he was employed. They did some things to him & he thought if he took them to task and told the truth that he would be exonerated. SDA hospitals have very powerful lawyers and alot of money. The point of even sharing this is that I don't think that my BIL can deal emotionally with trying to rectify this current situation. If any of you have ever been thru the court system you may know how extremely emotionally exhausting and difficult it is. They did not win their case against the hospital and it has pretty much ruined their lives. They have worked very hard starting a new business about 8 years ago and only started being in the black maybe a year ago. This current news is devastating. So, I can't quite adequately express my thankfulness for your prayers. They need Jesus so badly--my sister said that because of seeing how her friends in academy would always be getting 'converted' during Week of Prayer and be on fire but then it never ever lasted that she has been always been afraid that when people find the truth that it is not real.

I am privileged to pray for your friend, Doc, and for you, Handmaiden and everyone else asking for prayer! Lord, please send more laborers to work in the harvest of souls!

I tried to get my husband to also describe himself as 'loving and handsome' but he wouldn't :-)--I told him that everyone on this forum has a great sense of humor. I definitely did greet him, Colleen--it's good to be home! But, in driving all the way to Encino area today, with my Mom, I was able to offer prayer and support to my sister while she was taking her lunch break!
